They also had a lot more headroom than us so while we could've spent more than we did, the overhanging losses may have limited us to an extent. £50m pre tax in the prior 2 seasons is bound to impact. What an unfair comparison between a club that doesn’t have parachute payments who sold two players for £35m last summer (& then spent £17m on replacements) & a club that doesn’t have parachute payments who sold two players for £35m last season & then spent £3m of it on replacements. Great manager. **** me they were homeless for god knows how long! Good for them. Always had a bit of a soft spot for them.
