formerly known as ivan
What a game that was. As critical as many of us are over Pearson sacking/Manningโs appointment, a few years ago Robins was heavily linked to us but was not a popular choice with fans. Am I right in thinking he was Lansdownโs preferred choice at the time?

They also had a lot more headroom than us so while we could've spent more than we did, the overhanging losses may have limited us to an extent. ยฃ50m pre tax in the prior 2 seasons is bound to impact. We could've put maybe another ยฃ10m more than we did back in had we really wanted to, that means Amortisation, Wages, Loan Fees, Agents Fees. Coventry lost ยฃ10-15m aggregated across 2021-22 and 2022-23 and both of their major sales came this season so actually under the rules as they stand they would have more headroom yes. I reckon on conservative estimates coming into the seeoem they had ยฃ25-30m more Headroom than us. How much of that they've used right now Idk. He actually had a point on that occasion but the presentation and explanation was awful. Edited March 16 by Mr Popodopolous

Mendip City
No no no itโs all wrong, in modern football you donโt reinvest in players like Ellis Simms and back an experienced manager.ย What you do is create a nest egg and employ a boring rookieโฆ.. itโs the pathway to Tinnion-land AKA League One. ย
