City quartet admit nightclub brawl

Bristol City's David Partridge, Scott Brown, Bradley Orr and Steve Brooker have admitted taking part in a booze-fuelled brawl at a nightclub

Wales international Partridge, 27, was charged with affray along with his teammates Brown, 21, and Orr, 23, following a punch-up in the early hours of October 12 last year.

Brooker, 25, the League One side's top scorer last season, was also later charged with the same offence after violence flared both inside and outside the Romeo Browns nightspot in Bristol city centre.

Brooker, Orr and Partridge pleaded guilty to affray on Friday during a hearing at Bristol Crown Court.

Brown denied affray, but admitted the lesser charge of a section 4 public order offence.

Partridge, who has been capped seven times by his country, also pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm

Interesting to see the outcome of it all!

Before we condemn our own players, let's not forget that this country's class based toff/snob led legal system is widely regarded as the most corrupt in Western Europe.

Never forget what happened to our own supporters at the hands of the Walsall West Midlands Royalist Gestapo Police the season before last. No toff/snob Crown Prosecution Service lawyer or corrupt West Midlands copper was ever prosecuted for bringing wrongful drink charges against our supporters.

God save us from the royalist tyranny that is this country's hopelessly corrupt criminal 'justice' system with its corrupt jobsworth Police and toff/snob led Crown Prosecution Service. :w00t:

Why on earth would Orient want Partridge knowing that all this was imminent ? Surely they must be in the picture. Something doesn't make sense - perhaps everyone is expecting him to get off without jail.

More importantly imagine how our season would be blown if we lost Brooker and Orr for 3 months.

Please all remember that speculation as to what sentences are issued is again not allowed by law.

No it's not

Speculating on the facts of a trial could be seen to predudice a case.

Speculating on a sentence does not fall under this as it is no longer a matter for jury as all have pleased guilty.

I quite agree with you. Toff/snobs like Wales international David Partridge, 27, and Bristol City team mates, Scott Brown, 21, Bradley Orr, 23, and Steve Brooker, 25 should be judged fairly and not treated leniently just because of there massive incomes, far more than their sad supporters can expect to earn.

So how does South Africa equate to a bunch of highly paid footballers getting involved in a punch up in a night club ?

It doesn't it is just the socialists venting their spleen over the percieved in-equalities of our justice system. Having never having had direct dealings with the courts I cannot comment with any certainty apart from the fact that criminals seem to get away with everything, and I am continually bled dry with speeding fines etc............ :dunno:

Rollocks - they have pleaded guilty!

exactly

they just said on bbc points west that the court said that just becuse they have bail

that it does not mean the outcome of the sentence, now should they 'the court' and the bbc

have said that in public? IT'S A PREDICTION IS IT NOT? on tv.

(i've also seen posted)

you can speculate on the outcome of cases if a guilty plea is made

not if evidence is being presented that may effect the case

now they pleaded guilty its not about the outcome

the outcome is they pleaded guilty - They've admitted to it.

in short it is ok to chat about a case after a guilty plea in terms

of what sentence they might get as it is now not a case to influence

a jury.

A MAGISTRATE OR JUDGE would read or see the papers or tv before even thinking

of being influenced by a internet forum

Well written that man, the players have my support also. As far as I'm concerned it's this country's corrupt and expensive toff/snob ridden royalist criminal justice system that was on trial today.:shifty:

Now there was a time when a certain court would have had my full support. It's 1649 and the trial of the tyrant traitor King Charles I. Note the English Republican Army soldiers - dressed in BCFC red - keeping order within the courthouse lest the dastardly King attempt an escape from justice.........

Is that what you would have said to Nelson Mandela?

:englandsmile4wf:

He admitted trying to set bombs off. and yes he can go forth.

What the guy who threw grenades into schoolyards? and then ran his country into the ground?

Not strictly true, Mandela didnt run the country into the ground-Tabo Mbeki is doing that all by himself.

Just another toff/snob.

(The above information was taken from the web site for the CROMWELL museum).

And.........I attended Cotham Grammar School in Bristol as did a number of very good former BCFC players. :farmer:

Good for you, i sure you are a very nice chap as a result of it !

I would have thought for someone who made such a big deal of CROMWELL you would know where he came from off by heart, and would know if what i had written was correct or not.

I knew he came from the landed gentry from my school days, but given they were 35 years ago i thought i had better check.

Just put "Oliver CROMWELL" into MSN and it will be one of the first sites listed.

Just for your information i work in the justice system, nearly all the people i work with are decent working class people like myself, who are trying to do a very difficult job, and the only thanks they get are silly comments from the likes of you, who clearly know nothing about history, law or politics !

But, it has to be said, you do seem to know a little about football !
