Plus with 60 QPR naughty boys being escorted from the hole in the wall pub (near redcliffe)

by police before the game, they knew dam well that segregation was in need of checking and the right

amount of stewards and police should have been in the EE, they knew what was coming from the QPR side,

i seen the escort. So is a mistake by the security being blamed on the fans????? netting not right, no police

on a policed game and a handful of stewards, not great is it? and a lot different to the successful Brentford and

rotherham games.

. In response to requests from supporters, the Club have also now clarified that if a season ticket holder wishes to permanently move his or her season ticket seat, even to a different stand, then that will be possible

Nice one, East End me up baby!

I shall make a call monday, hope we can move over, the Williams has been dissapointing thus far, considering the last few years have been lively.

question is do the clubs security and the police not wanting us in there? lax in segregation

when at other times it has been spot on?

Ciderhead, seeing as i wasnt at the qpr game, do you have any pics of the ee from that game?

I will have a look.

Missiles being thrown?? hmmmm

A appropriate measure could be a simple netting suspended from the roof allied to thirty metres of segregation.

This netting would be a practical solution, along with banning offenders and would be less unsightly

and obtrusive than the tunnel between the Williams stand and East End.

The sterile areas on the graphics is larger than would be considered at most premiership clubs

e.g Manchester Utd or Spurs but could be a reality at Ashton Gate.

The large sterile area would be netted but could also be used to house

flags on top of the netting. These flags would provide even more security as no fan would

consider stepping on a thirty foot wide banner designed by fans and paid for by fellow fans.

It would hardly be a Latin style end but

City fans could create a feeling of their own identity by

making that thirty metre gap a bit more colourful.

Second pic down v Brentford & Torquay pic clearly shows what should have been in place V QPR by ko and expected.

V Rotherham police were in place by 1.30pm. Blackpool, Colchester........

its a few stewards and netting over virtually the entire sterile area fire regs permitting only.

Fans can also donate flags to cover the netting.

cider head, we all know how easy it could be. Just looks like the club thought it would be a good idea to open the ee due to the price rises, now they actually don't want anyone in there and in my honest view i think they are trying to c**k it up.

That or the police are trying to c**k it up, the club are paying the police for being in the ground tell them what to do and do the job proper.

If you had a brickie come round you house to build a wall and it was all wonky you wouldnt pay him and make him do it proper.

But it seems like the club are so under the police thumb its unreal, why cant they have some balls and stand up for the fans.

I would give the two flags i made for the east end along with the other city flags i have if they wanted to make a sterile using flags etc.

If that worried put the fence back up as well and put

paint on it so you know who has jumped on it.

not hard to work is it? this picture was designed way back before

promotion for low away crowds in league 1 but can still be used

by taking away a red block for big away followings.

I will not be sitting or standing for that matter in this stand but i am apppreciative of the efforts of those who are now within it something which Gary Johnson has remarked on and want it to be a success. Ashton Gate is a better place with the East End open and it benefits the team. For that to happen the club should be doing as much as possible to make that happen or as others put it- We support the continued opening of the East End, with access for fans, but not at any cost

As far as i know Bristol City fc sold season tickets on the basis that there would be room for fans to pay on the day and bring friends and family there has been no thorough explantion of the course taken or even a simple sorry. Within this thread it states that stewarding was not at a level normally seen which along with the lack of policing for a policed match being also reffered to is a very serious allegation indeed.

Any reasonable person would look at the above with concern.

To help balance the argument, I've since learned that before kick off there was less stewards and police in the East End than before the Brentford game. Also, the segregation netting did not reach to the front and back of the stand, enabling people to run around it.

Were the police in place as per the Brentford game before kick off and during the game?

Because less Stewards, netting not in place, much bigger gate, far more away fans, somebody needs to ask some questions of exactly what was in place.

Yes it does seem bad organisation forthe first game full house v QPR 700 in the E/e pictures show the netting to be inadequate hardly strecthing the full length,I thought the metal fenced would of been in place for the first game,we were told we now have a allocation of 1000 so no need to move the fencing each game which we have been told is a big expence, once done thats it,with the fence it can be steward and policed better,I ask you SL to have a look at this and give it another chance with a properly erected fence please,it was a advantage so far this season lets keep it that way

This is an absolute joke IMO. The powers that be should've followed Cardiff's model with what they've done at Ninian for a very similar dated stand behind the goal. They've managed to reclaim the 'heart' of their stadium through research, willingness and liaison at little cost. If they can do it, why can't we?

Just out of interest, could somebody at the ST please clear up what actually is acceptable behaviour at a football match these days? I'm not being a smart alec or anything but it does seem that if people are being thrown out, or pinched, for swearing or standing then something is seriously wrong at the Gate IMHO.

The club i.e S.L has previously said its to much hassle :disapointed2se: the man needs to "come and join us" and see for himself

That video shows that there was no stewards and police.

Nice c**k up by the club.

I can see just one steward (city side) at the back but this is no where near the stewarding

we had vs brentford.

And then people wonder why they don't want mobile phone cameras in football grounds.

qpr 3.23pm seems in order now but little too late but still as you tube vids

show that there was nowhere near the amount of police and stewards as in the

3.23pm picture.

the segregation is larger than at most other big game derbys

and the prem.

qpr8ma9.jpg

a week later vs scunthorpe this season, any champion pole volters out there?

bigger gap, less crowd both sides but more stewards???

scunthorpe side, looking at this picture there is more chance of problems coming

from the williams stand that those in the city side of the EE
