BCFC Rich
Who do we all think should be playing in this one? Some difficult choices to make all over the pitch, particularly in the back four if Eros is back (could also make a case ZV getting a game in this one). Also, has anyone seen them play this season? Current league placing makes it look like they're in for another tough one! But I don't know much about who they added this summer and if there have been signs of improvement. On a side note, I'm hoping to make it to this one! Flights are looking relatively cheap for that weekend. I only made it twice last season (cost of flights from the US are a killer!) and was in the down at the front of Atyeo which is where my season ticket was before the move to America. So I will be making my move into one of the new stands for the first time. Any recommendations? It'll be just me this time but hoping to bring my Kids (4 and 6) for the Reading game on Boxing day. Ska Junkie
We don't take them or anyone lightly. For me a lot depends how BW feels after his travels. If he's knackered we don't mess about, Eros is back but if he's ok, change nothing and put Eros on the bench. After the break we need to win this to rekindle the momentum. ZiderEyed
Get up in the Lansdown stand if it's open, which I doubt it will be. Weird watching City like Zeus looking down from Olympus. Definitely a case for ZV to get a game though, if EP isn't 100% and BW has just got back from his jaunts then I'd imagine he'll play.
Hampshire Red
There will be plenty of choice for you mate as Friday night football hasn't really taken off in Bristol. Get yourself in the best seats in the Lansdown Stand. Burton get strangely good results then a hammering so let's hope Diedhou (who comes from Senegal and now lives in Knowle!) and our new £20m Bobby each get a a brace. Safe flight
Garland-sweden
Think Burton game will be like the Bolton game. They will sat back and will have a low tempo. If we have movement and let the ball run fast it will be good. Everyone expect us to win easy. Burton is not good but we have to go the work to beat them. You make a long trip RE and I really hope for a win. Always believe, COYR!!!
E.G.Red
I expect Burton like Millwall and Bolton to park the bus and frustrate City. Don't think it will be the attractive football that City like to play and might take a while for the first goal. Expect a 2-0 home win, Flint to score . Think BW will be on bench

Other than that, leave as is. Pack can join the "cup squad" on the following Tuesday All this barring injuries of course.

eastonboy
I'd rather see a specialist RB in the RB role. Club captain or not, Eros should start if he is over his recent injury problems.

I kind of agree, thought we missed a natural RB against Bolton last week but going to a tough place away from home I wouldn't hesitate to play Wright there as we need to be solid. pongo88
LJ must play what he thinks is the strongest team. It’s an old cliche, but there are no easy games in the league. Burton have taken a hammering in recent games, but they have shown that they fight and can occasionally dig out a good result

I agree Eros-Flint-Baker-Bryan for the Burton game due to the miles Bailey will have flown but I find it weird how people seem to act as though he is a much weaker centre-back than Flint or Baker. He has been outstanding this season. Even against Norwich at right back, he was one of our best players. This is not meant as a dig at either Flint or Baker. All three have been outstanding this season. I would not want to have to make LJ’s decision...

I agree I think it would be hard on Wright although there is something to be said for keeping a settled CB pairing. I doubt either AF or NB would have played as well at RB as BW and its worth remembering he was also the CB who played wrong side when partnered with Flint. Infact I'm pretty sure we would pick Vayner, Smith, Brownhill or Mags at RB before even considering NB or AF.

wendyredredrobin
We need to treat Burton with as much respect as we would Villa or Leeds. No letting up, they are capable of a surprise. If we are 3 or 4 nil up at the break, we can then rest a few weary legs. Eros is a better RB than Bailey and Flint and Baker look pretty solid in the centre. Give Bailey a rest for this one. I'm actually happy with almost any pairing from our 4/5 centre backs.
Mr Popodopolous
Burton will dig in, play deep. Pisano at RB imo...you need that extra thrust vs teams like this. Also I would consider Hegeler at CB also to increase speed of ball circulation, to pull Burton out of shape a bit quicker. I know never change a winning side and Burton at home certainly is not a candidate for this but it could be tough...they will sit deep, dig in and look to break when they can- and quicker ball circulation could take advantage of their rare breaks forward. Agree with this, think we might see Woodrow start too to help ball retention when we go longer. Should be an interesting game to watch tactically. Robbored
Fairly straightforward selection if Pisaro is fit. Wright on the bench. Midfield a little more difficult. Smith, Brownhill, Pack CoD Famara and Reid.
