… are the Lansdowns selling the whole Bristol Sport empire, or just Bristol City Football Club?
If it’s just the club then we presumably will have to rent Ashton Gate from Bristol Sport?
That’s not a good thing. We could end up like Coventry and their Ricoh ground.
At the Feb Senior Reds which he attended with Maggie, I recall that he said he would welcome/be open to the right investment in all or parts of it. So I guess he is open to sell whatever part of it attracts interest

He's more suited to the Bermuda Triangle

Would be great but no, there is no way SL would sanction it, doesn’t fit his criteria of a manager.
And I suspect that there is no way Cotts would work for Lansdown

I think what he is suggesting is that the only logical reason for all these bizarre goings on is that a takeover could be in the works.
If someone was interested then it's reasonable to assume that they, or their representatives would want to have a good look round and a stadium tour.
As of four weeks ago I know that no such tour/look around has taken place.
Of course something may have happened since, but I doubt it.

The ignore button really calms this thread down a bit .
it seems the writing is on the wall - probably the most nonsensical sacking in recent history (assuming it happens). Given that Pearson was the most sensible lansdown appointment since cotts, I’m really worried about what’s next…
Lansdown didn't appoint Cotts. It was Keith Dawe I believe

I'm not sure I agree with the continued comments that Bristol City are tenants of Ashton Gate

People keep referring to the "Board".
The board, for what it's worth, will come to the decision it's told to.

@JerrySLO, please could you use your position to pass on the feelings of supporters as best you can?
I think you excessively over estimate Jerry's role and sphere of influence at the club!

Did we have a similar one for the Putin's invasion of Ukraine?

If you are ever lucky enough to be walking around the waterfront and see him, he is always open to a chat. In that chat he will tell you exactly that.
I totally agree. I was fortunate to see him not that long after he was sacked. Lovely guy to talk to.
Water under the bridge of course, but I will always believe that had he been backed in the recruitment he had lined up, we would have had a great chance of progressing.

They may have been ambitious targets but they were perfectly realistic for the right money, as evidenced by the facts that one or two of Gayle and Gray (terrible memory, others will know) had agreed to join us until the club tried to renegotiate the terms behind Cotts' back.
Andre Gray, like the others mentioned (apart from Gayle who was a bit of an after thought and never a serious target) were "done deals". At least that's what Cotts believed before going on a break.
In my opinion of course

I think he does still attend every single game, including the women's games (maybe?), and attends every monthly SC&T meeting.
As far as I know he attends every game, but not sure about the women's fixtures. He's often around at Senior Reds meetings.
He's on FB, maybe a FB messenger message might work?

I think you are correct, and just right now probably more than ever at a knockdown price.
