  1. Cardiff v Huddersfield 29th April. Just imagine Warnock going there and relegating them and keeping Huddersfield up.
  2. How is this stopping touts? With Ticketmaster you can transfer your digital ticket to someone else who has a Ticketmaster account (assuming this is with all gigs through them). If they wanted to stop touting they would stop it, or at least make it a lot more difficult with IDs involved. As for people saying everyone should have a smartphone, everyone doesn't have one, and plenty of elderly people simply don't want one as they don't like change.
  3. The fact a 19yo completely dominated them is half of that equation. Still cannot believe Cunningham hasn't been banned (yet), as I would expect them to be announced at the same time?
  4. I watched that one, some of his stories were superb. Well worth a watch on youtube or download it.
  5. Flapper keeps logging on to have a read but has just gone a bit shy, I cannot think why...
  6. Cannot see us finishing close to the top 6 purely on the run in, I agree with the post regarding our run in and probably fading. We could gain some serious points in the next 10/11 games if we stay consistent or even improve a little, but the run in is brutal and we will definitely be dropping points there. I'd be over the moon to finish 12th, and get a decent amount of points in the next 5/6 games and hopefully pull right away from any relegation worry. Get safe, and also give a few more youngsters some more experience which will go a long way for the future. Ps - I would love to see us beat the odds, just cannot see it happening, especially with another few FA cup games on the way.....
  7. Not long ago didn't he say that they had a top 6 budget? Not long ago didn't he say that he had to stop Wael spending too much? Not long ago didn't he say........ (add whatever you want as a hell of a lot of it is made up to please "his" fans and they happily lap it up).
  8. That recording didn't seem to prove there was any rape though did it? If it did he would have been tried in court. If it also had more than 99% than other rape cases have then it shows exactly why the conviction rate is low, it is just so hard to prove.
  9. But how do you prosecute them if they are generally unproveable? You cannot just find men guilty due to accusations. It is obviously horrible for any victim but I really don't see what else the law can do when it is a he said, she said, and especially when it is all behind closed doors with usually no witnesses.
  10. What should football do in this case?
  11. My point is what you asked for are both the same things aren't they? You said you wanted a voucher system for the next home game to get a new fan, instead of some glory hunter turning up. So what is to stop a glory hunter coming to the next game just to get a voucher, and what is the difference with a new fan - both may come back if there is an atmosphere and a great game with some excitement? Do you honestly think that "proper" fans of Bristol City, have just this week chosen to support us and are turning up against Man City purely to watch Bristol City for the first time?
  12. What is to stop the "glory hunter" going to the next game to get a voucher, and how do you tell them apart from the "new fan" you speak of attending for the first time? Aren't they also sort of going just to get a ticket for the Man City game) too and they are both doing the same aren't they.
  13. Phillips? Is that Boycie from Fools and Horses 5th along, right next to Barack Obama...
  14. Ok thanks for clarifying. If Scott refused to play, I just can't see how anyone would think the club can't moan about it just because they have froze out Massengo or any player previously. I just don't get that whatsoever but all about opinions.
  15. Sorry, I meant that as we all agree that Massengo has been frozen out. Therefore, if Scott and Conway both refused to play for us now whilst in contract because they could get a better move now, you would be happy with that situation should it arise (simply because the club have frozen out Massengo previously)?
  16. So let's say we have frozen out Massengo (which seems we can all agree on). Are you now happy if Alex Scott says he refuses to play unless he gets a move now to a Prem club? Or Conway may have a few clubs watching higher up than us (even in the Championship), what if both said they wouldn't play for us now whilst being on contract. I'd be absolutely fuming seeing as we seem to have given them both a great chance with their lives/careers.
  17. Of course they can, that's how the contract works. If a player wants to sign a life changing contract and say it's 5 years long then that is down to them and their representative isn't it? If they want out half way down the line of that contract, and actually refuse to play to try and force a move, and you think that is acceptable, then what is the point of a contract in the first place? The club can freeze that player out if they wish. More to the point why haven't the player and his agent negotiated a shorter contract in the first place - maybe because the greed got them then, and now even more greed is getting to them again? I wonder if any of those players would happily move if their wages were being halved - or would they then happily see out their current contract.,....
  18. I don't doubt that, but if he is going, and will be going for nothing (wasn't he also one who refused to go on loan, apologies if I have that wrong), then personally I would do the same as what Pearson has done with him. If Pearson kept picking players who wanted out (but ability wise they should be on the bench), then when do these/our youngsters get given the chance and gain some experience? We got a bit of a feel good factor coming back and part of that is the amazing academy young 'uns coming through to the first team. I'd be amazed if the huge majority would want Massengo on the bench in front of what is currently being picked.
  19. I'd love to see what comments would be said if Alex Scott now didn't show up for training to get a move with time left on his contract, as he will be on terrible money up against the Prem teams. There would be outrage in my opinion - and rightly so.
  20. From what I can remember I am sure the interviewer asked Al Quidi "why buy Bristol Rovers when you could have bought any club in the Prem" (following the billionaire myth), and he replied "not all of them" and then laughed, as if to say he could have bought most of them. I wouldn't be surprised if the video is on this thread.
  21. The post was about local players and developing them, having them for years in most cases. Not loans from higher up the pyramid.
  22. I didn't realise you were only discussing the developing of our own players, Your comment said the following "Gold star for the club South of the river, who's enormous losses are bankrolled by their billionaire owner " So you are only saying we have had our owner bankrolling the development of our own players, and nothing else whatsoever - and from this he has had enormous losses? The only "enormous losses" you mention is from the whole club as far as I am aware, but please do tell me something I obviously do not know? If that's is the case then how much have we lost from this bankrolled project in developing our own players? Asking how much Wael has put in is just trying to show that he isn't making any profit, and what does he have to show for it. Our "enormous losses" against your losses, assets, infrastructure etc would maybe show that we are nowhere near as bad as what most Rovers fans want to think, and what the poor rosy face lady garden has squandered away. Most of your post seems to have nothing to do with anything I have asked or mentioned. But as you mention he has never said he was a Billionaire etc, and everything seems to be the BPs faults, didn't he quite happily said he could have bought most of the Premier League clubs when interviewed and he was asked why he chose your mob?
