  1. I think the shirts were only available from yesterday, saw loads of people who had been in the shop though with bags full of items. I didn’t go in there as it was rammed, as was everywhere. The fan village I had to walk through twice which was impossible, the queues in the concourses for drinks were as long as I’ve ever seen and more. Staff were working flat out, the club must have took an absolute fortune last night. What a great atmosphere too. Just like our football team we look to have some hardworking players. I got the feeling that Bath felt they only had to turn up but they came across a very determined Bristol side who were certainly not going to let that happen. Yes we had to defend, and were on the ropes a bit just before our player was binned but when he returned we just got stronger. The try we scored was just infr9ntbof me so I was well happy. Nice to see some of our football players there too, sat just behind me. Brownhill, Hegeler, Bailey, Scotty Murray, and Frankie to name a few.
  2. Not too busy inside yet as people still in concourses. They are packed
  3. Absolutely rammed outside, and the queues in th concourses too. Giving out thousands of flags. In other news have seen Scotty M and Frankie F here..frankie must be getting kicking tips ?
  4. It’s very, very different. I’m 2 seasons in and been to nearly every home game and I’m still staggered at the differences. Actually it was The Bristol v Bath game that was pretty much the only game I missed during that time, and that was only because I was still up in Newcastle after watching us play. Main differences: fans aren’t segregated at all. Hardly any singing except for ‘Bristol, Bristol’ now and again. Fans are up and out from their seats only to get more cider and go to the toilet, this is constant during the match. Rarely do they jump to their feet for anything else, eg scoring. In fact I have found that rugby fans don’t seem to concentrate on the match like football fans do, they are chatting and drinking and most of the time the match just seems to be going on in the background. Very different from my football experience where each players every move is willed on or groaned at (sometimes in sympathy and sometimes in frustration). There is a lot less clapping players efforts and jumping to your feet at key moments. There is total silence when a try is being converted, that applys for both teams as unlike football you don’t try to intimidate the opposition. Hopefully some of the edgyness of a football derby will happen tonight, as if fans don’t get to their feet during a Bristol v Bath rugby match they never will. I do like rugby, but i will never feel the same passion for it as football, it’s just so different.
  5. And to be fair QPR’s Stand is easy to look full and cramped with no view isn’t it, you don’t have to have many fans in there to do that.
  6. Not only that, they have an owner who delivers what he promises.
  7. I just switch on the tv (bt sport) and saw Fylde's ground. I can only think the Gas are green with envy. Any league ground should be of a better standard than a team in the National League. The Gas facillities are a disgrace and a total embarrassment.
  8. Kicking towards us this half. Not sure if Swansea will let us have as much of the ball next half but we could easily of had a couple more. Kelly in particular looking very composed, certainly doesnt look out of place. So far a great performance and its amazing what a win on Tues did for confidence as we are really having a go at Swansea. Great to watch
  9. Even the Gas could beat this lot, that’s the worrying thing
  10. That quote is brilliant. Can feel their pain ? They seem to have replaced the ‘stand’ that they took down with one almost identical from what I understand. If they are baffled we don’t have a hope of understanding!
  11. Maybe it was...38 years ago. And yes it’s a dump, horrible ground that many of us actively choose not to go to. But as said it will be their big day out (barring Sunderland away) this season. Bless.
  12. Last few mins have been good, we took a long time to get going
  13. Years ago in the chat room it was a running joke that we would slag off LJ and he would score. It does work!
  14. I don’t disagree with you at all, but he’s chipped in with a couple more than I expected. I don’t see many goals in the players out there, but I don’t see clean sheets either.
  15. Think Elliasson might be subbed soon, ref already booked him and looking at him again
