  1. Guess we got to pray we don’t get Barnet
  2. Just watched a little of the Daryl interview I couldn’t stomach it all, but he does look like he has aged a lot recently. A sure sign of being under stress. Look at the lines on his brow, he isn’t a happy man at all. I bet he wishes he had bailed out when other clubs had been sniffing when his stock was high. No doubt he got swept along on the success of successive promotions and thought he could achieve everything with increasingly less and less. The penny must have dropped now that there is no new ground, no ground development, no new training facilities. He must also realise they can’t afford to pay him off either, so where is the incentive to turn it around? I guess so he gets a way out for himself by attracting another club is his only motive?
  3. Absolutely gutted today. Finally I leave a rugby game having seen the same passion and disappointment I often feel after watching City. The fans really got behind the team and at times it felt more like a football atmosphere, which was a good thing. I wanted to find Pat Lam and give him a hug and kick down the Referees door at the same time. Football is a cruel game at times, and now I find rugby just as hard to stomach. I can take losing but why when the technology is a huge part of the game was it not even used, even if the result turned out to be the same. I feel cheated. The Ref had decided what he was giving and already turning away before the move had been completed. Never mind all the replays, I saw it happen infront of me only feet away. Gutted for the Bears. PS the minutes silence was professionally held today, no misunderstanding, just perfect tribute. Also credit to the Bristol players who at the final whistle stayed out on the pitch and signed autographs and had selfies with people, they must have been devastated.
  4. Only Lansdown and South Stand open, so cameras are showing an empty Dolman, but it does look bare. Tickets were £10 I think, and kids £1, so not high.
  5. I’m not going tonight as I’m still now feeling great (LadyFlu) but delighted to discover just now that the game is on BT Sport.
  6. For a moment when I looked at his career stats I thought Johnson had signed him for Barnsley, but they missed eachother by 3 months. Yes he’s played for Championship Barnsley no less.
  7. Have we found a new hero, Agent Payne? Perfect name too.
  8. The BS staff were doing staff training this afternoon so closed early I’m told. That’s why nobody was answering the phone.
  9. I think once a game, basketball, football, rugby has stated it is sold out that’s it, no more tickets. I believe the Flyers are very popular and most if not all their games sell out really quickly.
  10. I watched the Oxford v Plymouth game, the commentators from BBC Oxford were delighted with their win and even more delighted when they heard the news about their next opponents losing
  11. Their relegation will be one of those ‘where were you’ moments for years to come. I was at Crawley, I can’t even remember the result or anything about the match only that it was glorious weather as our attention was elsewhere! I was having my first experience of Coach One (!) and the return to Bristol was party time, a great laugh ( yes really, they all hate the Gas with passion I didn’t think was possible ). I returned home to discover all the talk was about the Radio Bristol phone in, obviously I had been blissfully unaware. Someone kindly posted a link on here and it certainly extended the celebration!
  12. And have two football teams and a rugby team playing on the pitch!
  13. It was Matty Taylor that moved out.
  14. Not still the Noel Edmonds rumour is it?
  15. I know, I’ve come home from football and found my other half getting as frustrated as I was. Shocking day today.
  16. Have they got round this by thinking its only going to be used 28 times or less, not the fact its going to be there longer than 28 consecutive days? Surely to use it and swerve the planning permission it has to be packed away between games ?
  17. They said 2000 City ST holders took up the ticket offer. Must admit the atmosphere seemed better today, lots more jumping out of their seats for Trys than I’ve ever seen. A great game for a ‘first’ I would think.
  18. Someone from the Gas had better give Spurs the heads-up, only fair they should use their experiences to help out a similar club avoid potential problems.
  19. They will just fold it up and transport it to the new venue, one of those pop up gazebos afterall isn’t it ?
  20. Yup I think it’s just more bitterness from them. Yes we do have facilities to offer the full corporate experience, but those at the lower end are well catered for too. Our main gripes seem to be lack of seating in the concourse, lack of warm hand driers and the tannoy is muffled. Compare those complaints to their match day experience as you have highlighted above. I really don’t think they ever will be able to close the gap on or off the field so by dressing things up by labelling it Old Skool. In their minds they are trying to convince others it’s what they want as they have no choice. But who really would go so basic it’s non league standard.
  21. Is this really, really true, some of the stuff I read about them is so unbelievable that I’m doubting it. This must be a new low even by their standards.
  22. Penalties cost us and for all Smith does good there is a side to him that has cost us points over the last two games too. A good game to get out of the way though, take Cipriani, Sharples and 12Trees away and I think it would have been a whole lost closer.
  23. I think they are finding it a bit surprising they have to say some good things about Bristol. Sticking in their throat a bit
  24. That’s what did me in, more than the name written in a Sharpie
