  1. And a workmate has a holiday planned there for next week and no advice not to travel and holiday company will not refund!
  2. Yes the pitch looked fine, even with less than 24 hours turnaround and all the wet weather we’ve had recently.
  3. I don’t think the 1pm ko helped,.Or the fact England were playing at 3, which was ok if you wanted to go into the sports bar straight after but a bit of a rush to get home for. Also I guess Worcester aren’t the attraction like one of the bigger names, and with WestBrom the day before an expensive W/e if you were pay on the day or couldn’t give both days up to watching sport
  4. Made hard work of the win today, but a win is a win and we are up to 3rd
  5. Oh no, shocking news. At least good care is being taken of him now and it was diagnosed. Speedy recovery to you Will if you happen to see this.
  6. Referee Brett Huxtable gets slated on social media every single game by one side if not both, and guess where he is today ?
  7. Good Grief, just when I managed to erase him from my memory.
  8. I think there is more chance of the Memorial ground becoming a Fruit Market than the Fruit Market becoming a football ground.
  9. I understand that people want it acknowledged, but ow many milestones/achievements/memorials are marked on the 38th,or any other random number, anniversary? I think the club will honour the past in two years time, but I understand why they wouldn’t every year.
  10. Exactly. Do they really have to rely on intimidating tactics to try to get a win. It does seem very amateur. No doubt teams do try and get the upper hand on eachother psychologically, I wonder if Lee’s grass measuring is a subtle way of unsettling the opposition as much as what we gain out of doing so. But to actually tell ( threaten) the opposition certainly smacks of desperation and isn’t sporting or in the spirit of the game. I wouldn’t like to think we involve ourselves in this stuff.
  11. I was impressed with the number of Bears hats on show though, we must have sold loads
  12. Maybe their experience of being in finals before helped them as they certainly settled better. We were always behind and although we clawed the game back to touching distance a few times we never got ahead, that has to affect you mentally. Good game though and players and fans should be proud.
  13. Good game but made me really decide that I hate the fact that the fans are mixed. I had quite a few Glousc sitting next to me. Our stadium is 'weird', they 'couldn't hear a thing' (from us, not the speakers) and the Bristol chant 'unimaginative'. That's when they weren't constantly in and out of the row for beers or toilet. i took great delight celebrating every point ?
  14. Plymouth certainly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory there
  15. Happenings at the Gas has just been described as 'A little soap opera'
  16. What next, denied a pen and a goal. You ruddy well know the Gas are going to score soon
  17. That was over the line, unlucky Plymouth
  18. And our Ryan Taylor on the bench. Wouldn't it be good...
  19. Calf injury commentators said. I say convenient.
  20. That’s actually quite funny, I bet Steve is gutted that he didn’t think of luring him away to Mansfield ?
  21. It’s quite an unusual career move for sure, and the timing is odd being as it’s half way through the season. Obviously I am just speculating but I hope the sudden urge to move back nearer to family is just that and not need, I don’t wish ill on anyone, even a Gas Manager who actually seemed a decent bloke.
  22. They will certainly be looking at dragging out an appointment long enough for the window to shut, job done until the Summer when they will find another reason not to financially back the club
  23. We were able to rest a few of our players, who haven’t had much of a break since the WC, and try a few of our youngsters. Job done and onto the next match, that’s all we can ask.
