Got the win, just. Hard work tonight, Yorkshire were very negative and their players were down every two minutes with ‘injuries’ . Fair enough one player had to be stretchered off as he couldn’t walk, but apart from him I have never seen this cynical style so expertly executed. They came to stifle us and it almost worked. No tries scored by either team, small crowd given as 7778, not the greatest of evenings for Bristol Rugby but a win all the same, they all count, even ugly ones. I really though Yorkshire, who looked pretty devastated at the end, were going to nick the win though which would have been cruel.

Chasing shadows, making the same errors over and over and coming up against a solid brick wall like defence. I was surprised we pulled the game back to as close as it was. That said our player was sin binned for an accidental clumsy collision when he was blinded by the sun at one point, at least that’s what it looked like from where I was sat. But to be fair it was as far away as it could be so I apologise if I saw it wrong.

I came away hugely surprised at the win, still couldn’t work out how we did it. As I said before I’ve seen almost every game for the past couple if seasons but still consider myself pretty clueless, but our handling of the ball at time looked shocking. Can’t blame the conditions as Bedfird didn’t seem to have the same issues. We were constantly passing it short or more often than not just dropping it. An ugly win I think we call it in football.

Wow that’s staggering, I was going to guess a tenth, but I was miles off. I wouldn’t have swopped any of their players for ours. When you actually see players running (strolling) around the pitch that someone has actually paid those amounts for it just shows football has gone mad. And to bring this back on topic, I guess the Gas must look at the gulf between them and us and wonder what went wrong. THEY were the ones selling players regularly and making decent profits etc, how did it all slip through their fingers so easily.

Yes our 'newbies' of last season have come good (Brownhill. CoD) keep then with the old boys (Flint. Joe) Baker has rejoined seamlessly. But no i think talk of promotion will be a season too soon for Ellisson etc.
