  1. Shocking lyrics it has to be said but the track is solid. Love John Squire, what a man.
  2. Just based on what's being discussed and rumoured so far, I wouldn't get your hopes up mate!
  3. I actually forgot @internetjef recommended Deadletter not long ago as well, great recommendation. Stone are another good one, supported DMA's here the other day, very decent.
  4. Very much the same. Have heard they could well be at Glasto, potential Other Stage headliner I'd guess.
  5. Either that or JL's Spotify Wrapped! But fair play to them for trying to put more events like these on. They're a good idea.
  6. That sort of thing would be right up my street too.
  7. I think Reading do this now don’t they? Forwards here in Bristol too, plenty in Australia and Europe too for sure.
  8. I can't see that honestly, I think 2 stages next to each other is the most logical if it is definitely 2 on the pitch. Maximises the capacity moreso than the other 2 setups.
  9. Interesting, I hadn't thought of that... I wonder if they will go with one at either end like Forwards, or two next to each other so there is basically no gaps between sets. I gather the lineup is going to be a bit more erm... Love Saves than some of the suggestions here.
  10. Certain it's this. And I wouldn't get your hopes up...
  11. Yeah no chance it's Taylor Swift.
  12. No idea who he is but seems to have a huge amount of listeners on Spotify. Touring the UK end of June too...
  13. I didn't say that but if making shit up makes you feel better do carry on. They are definitely not bigger than The Beatles overall by any stretch. But I definitely have younger family members who could name 10x as many Oasis songs v Beatles, they are without a doubt bigger in the younger generation. There were people congratulating Kanye years back for working with the 'new, upcoming artist' Paul McCartney ffs .
  14. Not necessarily to be fair. She did a tour in the UK not so long ago where she failed to sell out the Stadium of Light I think it was. It wouldn't surprise me, not that I think it's her.
  15. The new Liam and John Squire tune I mentioned is out this Friday. Could be coincidence, not sure it's the sort of act I could imagine them bringing here, but worth mentioning.
  16. That sounds awesome, he always plays a ton of Oasis bangers so you'll be fine.
  17. I do think that an Oasis reunion, should it ever happen, has been hyped to such a ridiculous level now that it could never possibly live up to it. And it would no doubt cost £300 for a ticket and be full of the piss-throwing chavvy bell ends that end up at these gigs. They do have really strong songs though that are the best to belt out, and both Noel and Liam live are good fun. As far as Manc bands go, The Smiths and The Roses were better for me but I think a lot of the Oasis hate is purely down to how 'everywhere' they are. In some very specific demographics they're arguably actually bigger than The Beatles, so I can see why they do some people's heads in and would be a Room 101 band.
  18. It seems Liam Gallagher will be touring his new album with John Squire next year, I wonder if this could be a part of 'BS3 Live'? With both announcements seemingly imminent it could make sense.
  19. As you say, it depends on what you count as 'interest' or 'following'. I have a bunch of mates who regularly bet on it, but none of them 'follow' it or have any clue about particular horses, and sometimes don't even watch it. It's just some passive weekend fun for them.
  20. I don't see why anyone would take a punt right now. He's barely played 400 mins for Bournemouth since joining, clubs can't have learnt a huge amount more than in the summer when they could have had him for cheaper. I've no doubt there will be interest of sorts in the summer but can't see anything at all happening in January.
  21. Five pages in already so I'm sure it's been done to death, but from my perspective, I'm fully appreciative of the general benevolence, the effort, and quite obviously the finances. What do I want? Well, it's simple, I think a huge step would be to get people into the right roles at the top level. People who know what they're doing, people with experience, and in the correct roles. Not people who have 'grown into' roles, not people who are doing multiple roles, but a normal, proper structure at this level. From what I gather having read a lot on here, we are miles off in that regard. I honestly think that change alone, with his backing, would set us in the right direction. It might mean SL having to give up a little control, but that's the point. You employ people in roles precisely because they know what to do. If we had 4 or 5 people in the correct roles with proper experience it feels like it would optimise the investment, and make so much more of an impact. The Lansdown's have perhaps had the right intention with a totally wrong execution. I'm finding the situation very frustrating at times but I'm very thankful for what they've done. I just wish they would be a lot smarter at the top level. We've had a hint of what it was like, and it's even more annoying because we sort of had it right not too long ago. But it would inevitably trickle down and perpetuate throughout the club as a consequence. Getting rid of NP was all that more frustrating because it felt like precisely the opposite direction of where we should be going, given the context of what I wrote above.
  22. I think it'll hurt everyone. Sure they can take their big revenues away but within 5 years the Super League will be boring as shit. Nothing sounds worse to me than the same 8 teams playing against each other endlessly.
  23. Word for word pretty much agree with all of this. It was a public vote though to be fair (I think?).
  24. Spot on, and I know the exact pie you're on about, it was banging! To be fair I've only been doing this a few years myself so still not completely up to speed on it all. I think processing-wise the fake meats aren't the best, but you could say the same about a huge chunk of meat products as well. But fair play to you, any effort is a good effort particularly over Christmas. I'm not sure which one we'll be going for but I've had the THIS Isn't Roast Chicken and it was really decent, and we will be having a practice run Thursday night with the Sainsbury's Taste The Difference one. The biggest tip I could give you is these though, eye-waveringly expensive but they are better than any 'real' Yorkshire pudding I've ever had. Honestly it will never be the same as actual turkey or beef, it just won't, but my Dad is in his 60's and not veggie in the slightest, and is voluntarily giving up his turkey/beef this year to share the fake stuff we're having as he liked it so much last time, and we are not the type to pressure him at all, quite the opposite. It really has come a long way. But to bring it back for the meat eaters, slow-cooked beef is far better than turkey, even at Christmas.
