  1. This will be seen in three ways, those who are seemingly in the Pearson ‘ out ‘ brigade, who will use it one way, those in the Pearson ‘ in ‘ brigade, who will say he’s said nothing wrong & those who just see it as it is, which is obviously strange. Has anyone ever heard another manager comment on a substitution/formation change & referenced an opposition player not running? Bizarre thing for Nige to comment on. That will be Khadras motivation for the away game sorted, unless Nige convinces him to come here in January obviously! COYR

  2. Thought he did a good job for the team yesterday in the middle of the park, against a well drilled midfield. Only thing I would say, is that his set pieces could be better. He will have dips though, he’s young & he’s playing in the most difficult position on the park in my opinion, in the most competitive league in the world. COYR

Jay let that player get a shot off just before half time from that chipped ball in - my issue with him Is his awful delivery from good positions constantly

Just before half-time, the free kick? Outnumbered 2 to 1, someone let their man go. I agree his delivery could be better at times, but I would definitely say the movement in the box could be so much better. Remember one point yesterday, Conway & Semenyo both going to the front post, a lack of communication, a lack of playing together, who knows, but you can get a lot of tap-ins arriving at the far post late. He also had a big part in the goal yesterday. COYR

Ive been quick to be critical of Wells, but some of his first touches under pressure where sublime.  I came away from a draw feeling like it was a really positive performance.

Yeah, I actually think his hold up play under pressure for a fairly slight guy is very good, his awareness beyond that is also very good. Uses his body well & has a good touch. Think he’s in his last year of contract, will be interesting to see what happens there, obviously on reduced wages though. COYR

At least NP gave him some praise in is pre match comments.  I think it is clear that NP prefers JD over CP but after that showing today it will give food for thought. I would pick Cam Pring over Jay.. when we have a full back line to select from

Pring grew into the game I thought, a few sloppy passes to start with, but gained confidence as the game grew & all 3 at the back did very well come the end. Regarding Jay, don’t think he got beat 1 v 1 all game (something Nige has mentioned recently ) & he gets touch tight quickly. Would personally have Jay over Pring in that left back/wing back position, but it’s good competition for them both. COYR

In the form of his career, Zac had his best ever game.

Marshalled an incredibly young and inexperienced defence against much more seasoned opponents.

Fantastic game - well played Zac

I said before the game when the lineups were announced that I fancied Vyner to play centrally & thought he’d be the vocal organiser. I watched him closely first half & he didn’t stop talking to Pring & Tanner, he really stepped up to the plate. I actually thought that was the most organised I’ve seen us at the back, against a team that will try & pull you about. Has been having a good season so far, but today stepped up another level. Tanner, Vyner and Pring as our defence…..  it really is Halloween, scary times!

Surely our only form of defence is attack today!!! Could have easily put King in defence for some experience, or even Williams

Round pegs in round holes. How many times do we all moan about that? Fair play to Nige, give them a chance, it’s up to them to take it! COYR

I'd imagine Semenyo in the hole. He's much better at picking the ball up in space turning at running at defences. Also, can pick a pass if Conway and Wells make the right runs ahead. Also, an option to give Semenyo more chance of getting a shot off from outside the box - hopefully he'll drive the ball low from distance though. He's been trying too hard for the spectacular top corner goals of late.

We will see, not so sure on him picking a pass. Semenyo at the moment seems better when he doesn’t have time to think! Will be an interesting watch, I do like the look of that front 3, whichever way they play. COYR

    I still reckon it’s 3412.

George Zak Rob (maybe Rob central)

Tommy as the 10, was training there last season to cover Weimann.

Was thinking Vyner in the middle, gives us as much balance as you can get with that back 3. Also Vyner is the most vocal of that 3, hopefully steps up to the plate, because I actually think he’s done well this season, despite some of his detractors on here! Fairly quick back 3 also? COYR

  10. Think there is a number of factors, firstly I don’t think we were really ever creating a lot, but we were clinical. Naismith took a lot of stick for some of his bloopers, but maybe people are starting to see how important he was to our overall performance & the way he seemed to get others to up their games. He also broke the lines/press constantly, this then creates more overloads/options moving forward. I also think we’ve lost some energy in the midfield, Williams too many games? James coming back in slows us down? Massengo’s energy being a loss? Then up front I think to me it looks like we’ve tried to get Semenyo in the starting eleven too quickly, this has then interrupted partnerships & we seem to of lost our balance a bit. So all in all, for the reasons above, I think we are creating less & we weren’t creating a lot before, but we were clinical. COYR

That's what was said on SSN. I don't think he'd be dropped from squad if he just walked down tunnel before the game had finished.

Have just seen that myself. Oddly written story, the headline is as you say it. Then in the story it says how Ronaldo was frustrated because of Ten Hags decision not to put him on! Not like the media to put a headline grabbing statement before a fact! COYR

Well he's hardly going to start if he refuses to come on as sub. Poor professional.

Has he refused to come on as a sub? Totally disrespectful actions from him though. It’s a shame if he tarnishes his reputation with the United fans over the next few months. Should of been dealt with in the summer. He should of been let go & this would not all be still happening. Unfortunately  for Ten Hag, this is overshadowing the best United performance I’ve seen for quite some time. COYR

I thought Bilic was a good appointment albeit for a basket case club but it would not surprise me if he was fired before Saturday.

I listen to 606 when I can and the Watford fans have had enough of the chopping and changing, the owners need to be careful or they will seriously alienate the fan base.

Until they start winning again & I’m sure they’ll all calm down then! COYR

Seems a decent lad but I couldn’t care too much whether he is happy or not but you clearly think it’s not just him

Awful? Birmingham away he was not good by all accounts, was anyone? But I think he’s done ok from the games Ive seen. Can see both sides of the story with regards the contract/selection situation. COYR

Agreed. During injury time when we were crying out for creativity, no-one wanted the ball. We seemed nailed to the floor and Millwall won comfortably.

I'd say Semenyo also wanted the ball during normal time and created chances.

Did you? I thought his movement was poor, along with Conway. I thought that ran throughout the team today. No urgency, no zip in the passing, no combinations & poor movement. Looks to me like our energy has gone & that was one of our biggest assets a few weeks ago. COYR

  16. I think you can probably take that quote whichever you want, depending if you want to beat him with his quote’s or not. I think most fans with a slight understanding of the game would be able to work out what he’s talking about. Quite often hear people talking about Xg on here & generally it’s well received, but suddenly this quote is beyond people! Would say he’s seemingly doing a good job, which would be the same as Sunderland in most peoples opinion. COYR
