If you wrongly assumed that the only club in the lower leagues capable of attracting huge crowds was everyone's second favourite team Bristol Rovers, then think again. Fair play to Notts County, nearly 10500 at their derby v Chesterfield yesterday and around 8500 at Wrexham for the game v Dover. There cannot be another country in the world who would see those crowds at fifth tier level.

I've never heard of this before, despite various posts about the Anglo-Scottish Cup in the past. Interesting that many of the City players caught up in the controversy were Scots, maybe some Hearts fans

Have the travelling hordes left for Carlisle yet?
Most football fans in the north of England have Bristol Rovers as their second favourite team didn't you know? With no Prem or Champ matches going on they'll all be flooding to Cumbria to cheer on the Gas. Their away support could be doubled from 125 to 250!

It must be bad enough to have to bury a child, but you can't expect to be burying your grandchild. May she RIP.

If someone will take them off our hands & they will go, both are under contract for another year, this isn’t Football Manager, they don’t have to leave.
Baker is also under contract until 2023, so be interested to know why he won’t “stick around”, if he retires (& we don’t know that) there is the matter of his last year’s wages.
If he has to retire, and I really hope that is not the case, we will have insurance to cover that scenario.

There is a You Tube Vid of a Wimbledon v Man Utd cup tie from the mid 90s and Vinny Jones is constantly trying to smash Keane. It is the only time I have seen Keane flustered and looking like he'd rather be elsewhere.

A bit controversial but, would supporters like to see a City team continually struggling in the Championship or be in division one and see us winning a few games?
For me, I want to see my team playing attractive football and winning, something that’s been missing at Ashton Gate for some considerable time, I know that isn’t a given even in League one but it probably increases the chances of that happening.Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but are there really City supporters who want to us back in League One????? I would much rather watch us lock horns with West Brom than see us put 8 past their West Midlands little cousins Walsall. There are Rovers fans who would give their sixth finger to be enjoying Championship football, why would you wish us back down with the minnows? I've travelled to the likes of Gillingham, Hartlepool etc with City and trust me it ain't romantic. City deserve to be mixing it with Forest, Sheff Utd, WBA, Derby etc.

Was pretty much redundant anyway unless you wanted to watch stuff in sd
There used to be a lot of games in HD, admittedly many of them had Chinese commentary

showing Blackburn v City, is that right?

I have noticed that Hes goal are no longer showing live Premier League or European competitions football. Great if you enjoy watching the Czech Republic league, but probably a pretty much redundant site now for most others.

Would love a trip to Goodison next season but for as poor as they were tonight, I can’t see them going down. I think they have too much fire power in comparison to the other teams around them.
But have you see their upcoming fixtures? All matches against the top six or teams that are bang in form e.g. Newcastle.

Bristol Rovers were sponsored by Pound World, until they couldn't stand the embarrassment anymore...and who can blame Pound World for being embarrassed.

A couple of general thoughts loosely related to your post:
1. Do we think that having so many applauses/silences perhaps dampens their impact? As you say, it was 3 on Saturday. It feels like it's at least 2 most weeks now. That's not to say that they're not for good causes, but IMO their value has been lost through overuse.
2. Does anyone else feel that there's been an increase in the number of opposition players goading the home crowd at AG? Seems to be happening far more than it used to. I'm not justifying the throwing of projectiles at all, though surely there's a correlation between the two things
As you have rightly said you cannot condone objects being thrown on the pitch, but Charlie Austin QPR in particular goaded the City section for what seemed like an eternity with the useless ref doing nothing. It was almost as if he was thinking, how much have I got to do before someone will throw something onto the pitch. Some of the other incidents cannot be justified, but Austin was provoking a response, no doubt.

Just re read my reply, to be clear I don't condone violence and those punching others in the head will have to face the consequences.

From what I could see of the video, a number of the fans involved were trying to get the lad to leave the stand, but he kept refusing and at times throwing punches. To me it seems bizarre that the police and/or stewards didn't intervene and restore order removing the blues contingent in seconds.

I hope the train companies have put on extra services for the huge Rovers support heading over the bridge for their big local derby.

The point is would it be the same if you went to their country?? You wouldn't go to Wales and expect to find people speaking English, or watching our TV channels, or paying taxes to our government. I'm sick of bending over backwards to these minorities.
Scrap that, just remembered I'm quarter Welsh, leave em be.

Very disappointing, we never posed any sort of threat to them at all. Bentley was MOM for me, without his saves it could have been 4 or 5.
Pearson must be backed in the summer, we need 3 or 4 new additions.

Pearson subbed now

He's just missed a sitter, to put Inverness ahead and get his second of the night. Decent match, chances both end, a 'playground' match. Come on the Caley jags!

It used to be 'must watch', but now a lot of what would have made up their content is available on social media minutes after it happens. I was on the show with fellow City supporters 15 years ago and it was a brilliant weekend. City won at Watford to cap it off.
