Conway was probably the best player in our team on the pitch. Expected Bell to be better at that level but just didn’t get going.
Owura Edwards final ball let him down at times, was through early on in the first half with 2 men in front & a really bad pass meant we didn’t capitalise. But can also see he’s played some league football. Kept going past his man with ease.
Kadji had a poor game, reminded me a little of those Bakinson performances you’d get where he’s wanting a bit too much time on the ball & it catches him out.
Zac Bell looked alright, blowing in the second half
Really liked the look of Backwell, got stuck in & would like to see him play again.
Coventry captain number 20 in CM (quick check of their Twitter Jonny Ngandu) looked very good & surprised me to see he’d not played league football.
Just seen they’ve actually released him, interesting to see where he ends up.

Be great if we could get thousands in for this.
See other sides do it for their U23's often & it impresses me. I'll be going along with a few of my mates.

At our training ground?
Yes mates Gregor mentions in that article he’d been there for talks this week.
Cotterill got all his business done early that summer we got promoted & it worked wonders, hoping for the same again this year.

Was at the training ground yesterday.
Versatile, good age and decent stats this season. Can’t go wrong with a free transfer can you?

Burnley will owe big money if they come down, think I read £65m loan which has to be repaid straight away (as opposed to 2025) if relegated.
Everton would be the better away day, but I reckon they’ll win this league and probably break the points record whilst doing so.

A manager who deserved more than he got. Followed by a manager who got more than he deserved.
And here we are.
You had to didn’t you?
What a squad, what a manager.
Probably the best away day I’ve had following City.
Also, is that video only available in 360p? Shocking.

Blackpool Gazette reporting that JET could be available on a free transfer. Now he must be cheap and would guarantee to entertain. Is he a tad quicker than Martin>

How would i know that?
Im afraid its a simple case of mistaken identity.
Im sensing some bad vibes here.
If i knew that anyway, do you really think id be asking?
The team sheet in with the pictures.
I sensed it was you trolling. If incorrect then fair enough.

How so?
Unless you've seen him there as part of the crowd, which I highly doubt. He is neither on the team sheet nor in the pictures, although you probably knew that anyway.

George Nurse going very well there too I believe.

Very Ambitious Somerset Football club.
Looking to go up from the Somerset District League into the Toolstation pyramid.
That would include new floodlights, turnstyles, and the like.
Certainly a good footballing side at County level. I'm more Clevedon Utd myself .
Do you ever watch them? I get down most weeks whenever City are away. Probably recognise you if you do.
Shame they’ve fell away this season cause they were going well.

A lot of calls for Root to step down, but who would be peoples choice as next captain?
Has to be someone who's going to make every test team for the next couple of years, there aren't too many of those that are safely in at the moment.

Went to Milk Bun earlier in the week, up in Clifton village.
Burger joint whose USP is that they are the only place in Bristol who make and bake their own buns from scratch. The hard work pays off as the burgers taste superb with big fluffy sesame seed buns and lovely patties. Also, kicked things off with a perfect negroni.
Highly recommended and will be going back to try more of the menu.
I’ve been a few times, the first time was lockdown restricted & had to get it takeaway, it was so dry & the chips were some of the worst I’ve ever had.
I gave it another go when it was possible to sit in & had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Look at it, it’s a beauty.
I went again a few weeks later & I was disappointed again. It doesn’t touch the consistency of Hobgoblin/Three Brothers/Squeezed for me!

Thinking about it a city Irish XI is the stuff of nightmares.
GK - Gilmartin
RB - Ryan McGivern
LB - Cunningham (good, but nob)
CB - ??
CB - ??
LM - O’Dowda
RM - Sproule
CM - Tommy Doc (he’d go mental in this company)
CM - John Burns??
CF - Andy Smith
CF - Andy Keogh (think he played on loan?)
Bejaysus it’s bad
O’Leary in goal & Williams CB.

Derrick Williams more deserving of a place than Cunningham.
Can’t argue too much with the thread title though.

Not sure where the "he was a model professional brought in to sort out the dressing room and to be a role model for the youngsters" has come from ?
Convenient excuse but not necessarily true.
As I mentioned in my post, was just me guessing. Managers regularly bring in players they’ve previously worked with that they know they can trust, however expect most will play a bit more than Simpson did.

But poor business to extend his contract in the first place.
I agree. I think NP wanted him in as someone he could trust to set standards in training. Just a guess though. Why else extend then never play him?

Heard he was on a pittance in footballers wages terms & absolutely nowhere near the amount quoted on that dodgy website guessing at players wages.
He wasn’t going to play, but was creating a bit of an issue with the fans wondering why we played all these others in his position over him, good business to terminate early I reckon.

Michael Proctor did it years ago for Sunderland iirc.

I’d post on Pepipoo if I was you mate. But if you share the images make sure you redact all info & use an image hosting website.
They’ve got me off two parking tickets previously! Know their stuff & will be able to inform you if you have any chance of beating it.

Sitting in my new location in the Lansdown last night I had a much closer view of his contribution to the game and could see from his positional sense and anticipation what a decent player he is - however when in possession he seemed to hesitate before knocking it sideways, getting back and doing the same thing before playing it back to Bentle who wellied it up the pitch Several times he had Dasliva further up on his left but didn’t play it to him……………
Others around me were getting frustrated and yelling for him to play a forward pass. He really slowed the game down. I saw Nige talk to him during a break in play and wondered if he was under instructions.
He often had absolutely nothing on up the field so had to go sideways/backwards.
Midfield weren't moving much to get into areas to receive the ball.

Fury v Whyte is on, Dillian has signed the contract.
Now begin the pre fight fun and games.. this is going to be wild.
Whyte has already said he's not doing any promo unless paid more to do so according to Bob Arum. Fury is always entertaining though.

Away goals :
Hirst vs Rovers (Cup) - won the match
Gillies vs Coventry (Div 1) - kept us up
Riley vs Bolton (FRT) - icing on the cake
Ritchie vs Notts County (Cup) - equaliser (we were Div 4, they were Div 1)
Agard vs WBA (Cup) - 5000 fans went crazy
Glad I’m not alone with that one, it’s probably the best limbs I’ve been a part of. There were 50/60 year old fellas on their arses in the stairways going crazy.
Mad really, cause it doesn’t seem like it should be that important when you think of it now. Magic of the cup!
