  1. Must've watched 20 games across Hellenic/Toolstation Level & another 20+ at Somerset County level this season.

Found it really enjoyable. The standard is obviously miles off of what you'd get down the gate, but you do still spot the odd player from time to time & games seem to have a bit more bite to them.

Not seen it mentioned but Nailsea & Tickenham got promoted again to Toolstation Prem after a promotion last season from Somerset County Prem which is impressive. Oldland Abbotonians joined them the other day after winning the play offs.

Saw Ashton & Backwell are dropping down two leagues back into Somerset County Prem & that potentially Nailsea & Tickenham will be using their ground next season.

I can't fathom it either. When England played Italy recently we had Stones and Maguire at the back. Stones can't get a game with his club side in that position and Maguire's indifferent form has him relegated to the subs bench for his club. That lack of first team game minutes certainly contributed to a shaky second half. Yet they are deemed good enough for the National side. On the bench is Dier, a failed midfielder turned central defender.

All this while the manager has publicly bemoaned the lack of English talent. Perhaps he needs to look beyond Chelsea, Manchester's two clubs and Liverpool.

    Incredible.

People don’t realise just how good Stones is. He’s so good ? we’re so lucky to have him.

Maguire also usually pretty good for England, them two as a pairing have done pretty well so I can see why Southgate sticks with them despite all the fan pressure to change.

Never rated Dier much, but think Guehi gets in as a left footer for balance tbh.

Also, I think webster has been on the bench quite a bit this season hasn't he?

  3. 500 up for Albert in the Championship.

Still probably my joint favourite City player of all time. If he wasn’t there for those 3 seasons, Ashton Gate would’ve been a far more miserable place to go and watch football.

Around the time Port Vale were approaching the record, it was reported as if Derry City's 72 match run was the longest anyone knew of in World Football. British Isles refs generally allow a few more robust challenges to go unpunished so it makes sense that it's in our sphere that all the records come. Port Vale then beat that run with 73 games and got two penalties in match 74 (they missed the first one).

Just been looking at this, you just know we’ll miss the first one we get as well.

so how many have we played now?

Maybe the club/stewards requested extra help because one of them got beaten up after the Norwich game became a  couple of parents couldn't control their children.....

    Just saying....

Nah they’ve been there for a few games now. I actually said to my friends at the time, last time private security got bought in, back in the eastend days it didn’t end well & knew it would only be a matter of time before it happened again.

It’s not like your usual stewards who get to know the fans they’re dealing with, these storm in & try to intimidate over the smallest inconvenience & get upset when they don’t get the response they expect.

Yesterday the second issue with them was a lad standing on a seat. There was something that happened towards the top of the Dolman side of the corner prior to that but I’m not too sure what that was.

i hope the parents and kid is banned for life, entering the field of play is a criminal offence, we have been warned about this from the FA and EFL and most likely will be fined again as a result, whether the steward over stepped the mark isn't the problem, beaking the ******* law is the actual problem

Banned for life? Ridiculous. All it takes is a warning of a ban (not a lifetime one) & the kid won’t do it again

  7. Had quite a few arguments with people on here & Twitter who suggested he had a bad attitude because he looked pissed off at times when we lost or when chances were missed. Never bought into it myself & glad he’s now getting a good amount of game time in his preferred position.

  8. Tyldesley & McCoist are the best commentary team on TV.

It won’t matter to me cause I’ll be there, but the moaning about ITV surprises me. Pearce is usually quite bad other than when he shoe horns in an obscure City fact regarding the players on the pitch.

May even get Laura Woods down the gate.

There’s no excuse for not turning up for training , he’s been badly advised but he’s old enough to know better . It’s just another slight erosion of the game. The amount of money in the game is vile . Everybody wants their club to play at the highest level but I hate what the prem stands for financially

I’m sure it’s happened plenty of times before where a player has refused to turn up & still not managed to get the move he was after. But you’d look like a right dick on that first day back after the window has closed wouldn’t you.

  10. Apparently the player hasn’t turned up for training today. He released this statement yesterday.

This follows Anthony Gordon doing the same thing to leave Everton & move to Newcastle.

Gordon, I don’t like it but I can understand it a little because of how toxic it got recently with him and the fans there after that protest last week, and also Everton looking in real trouble of being relegated.

Caicedo I really don’t like - Brighton have sold Cucurella, Trossard & Bissouma (another CM) already this season. The 21 year old has 2 & a half years remaining on his contract & whilst £60m is a lot of money, I’m sure Brighton aren’t exactly skint right now & would need a ridiculous bid to let him go & leave themselves looking for a replacement this late into the window.

I know it’s always happened  where players refuse to play, or train for their club to force a move, but I fear with these two being such high profile recently, this may become even more common practice for players wishing to move clubs.

We always used to sell for, what felt like, the right price. This is the first one for a long time (that I can remember) where it feels we have been short changed)

Pure guesswork but possibly a reason that Bournemouth have managed to get the deal done & Palace haven’t.

I wonder if Palace were/are less likely to agree to some add ons we’d like included whereas a team in trouble will be working harder to get the deal done and may be more generous.

Here’s hoping for a rather large sell on clause included in the deal & Semenyo bangs in plenty second half of the season!
