Enjoyed how Ian mentioned that @headhunter had posted on the forum regarding a 12 month rolling contract, then about half an hour later said he doesn’t read the forum.

I once again ask for us to do a minute silence or applause once a year like many clubs do to honour those that have passed in the previous 12 months.
Their pictures can be shown on the big screens & we can all pay our respects properly.
Here’s an example of how Millwall do it.
https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2023/february/02/memorial-day-at-the-den-this-saturday/
I get that random world events aren’t covered by the above, but it would stop the minutes applause requests we get almost every week recently where half the people don’t know who they’re applauding anyway.

We have a few but it was quite interesting to see our starting 11 on Wednesday were all Caucasian. In fact all white British/Irish.
That changed with the subs obviously but I guess it shows how far we have come because an all-white starting 11 is a very very rare thing nowadays. And an all British/Irish one an even rarer thing I’d wager.Back in 2010/11 season, we had a rare occurrence where we fielded a side that had 10 of the starting 11 either mixed race/black, I doubt that’ll happen again either!

Heard he was at the HPC earlier in the gym. Didn’t travel with rest of squad.

Fair play if you never wrote him off. You are very much in the minority there
I also never wrote him off. Never thought he was as bad as people made out.
That summer that Pearson publicly said 4 players need to leave, he was the only one I was happy to keep.
Although I did think it would be better for him to move on at the time.
Never a right back though, at CB he’s continuing to improve almost every week. Pity he’s out today, think we’ll miss him.

Darren Way his assistant appointment. No Jamie Mac to be seen….
I actually think it was time for him to do something differently with regards to an assistant. Different ideas may help.
I said to a mate the other day, he always seemed to do better here when we had a load of injuries and was forced into a line up.
With a lack of resource at Fleetwood (or so you’d imagine) I wonder if he’ll benefit from having to use mostly the same players each week.

I’m not sure about Mehmeti. Just isn’t producing enough for me
I really hope he can turn it around but so far he’s really disappointed me.
Was hopeful that after a full pre season here he’d go up a level but still yet to see it.
I do wonder if we’d be better of getting him on the right.

I could be wrong, but all of these planning applications won’t be looked at in order will they? I’d imagine one to do with a football club will get bumped up the priority list quite a bit.
I also expect Marvin Rees will get involved at some point as well demanding things get resolved for their fans.
As expected.

When that triple sub was made, he said ‘coming onto the pitch number 4’
That was it.
He then took a few mins to say who was subbed on, but did it whilst we were celebrating another goal I think.
God knows what he was saying, absolutely useless.

No drinking outside of the Spanish bar today if anyone usually goes there.
He’s been threatened with removal of his licence if people do so & spill out onto the road.
He’s had to take the decision of closing after the game today because he knows he won’t be able to police it.
Can imagine that’s going to cost him a fair bit of income.

My source at Bristol City Council had a meeting today where they were advised that there are almost 150 December 2022 planning applications that have yet to be assigned to a planning officer and overall almost 1200 applications that are sat in BCC's backlog.
So it's irrelevant when the next planning committe sit, as the application hasn't even been processed and is unlikely to be looked at until well into 2024.
This state of affairs will have been (is) well known by any professional dealing with planning applications as its been building up since Covid, so I can only assume that Billy Smart & Co. are advising the Sags.I could be wrong, but all of these planning applications won’t be looked at in order will they? I’d imagine one to do with a football club will get bumped up the priority list quite a bit.
I also expect Marvin Rees will get involved at some point as well demanding things get resolved for their fans.

A footballers YouTube channel I watch quite a bit, just posted a new video.
About 45seconds into the video, him and the kit man are talking about their new Hummel gear & say ‘it’s definitely better than O’Neills’
Thought it was very apt that that came up at this moment in time.

It is mad how everyone bar those in charge can see the issues.
Why don’t they consult with a select few prior to putting it out? The supporters club coupled with some younger fans maybe.
This is the worst it’s been for a while, it’s rare you see almost everyone in agreement regarding them.
On the home kit, the collar is terrible as many have already said, but does anyone else think that both the O’Neills logo, and the City badge should both be moved inwards a bit, they’re both to the side of the white lines but should be in the middle of where the lines run through.
That third kit with that badge is absolutely shocking, should’ve never been allowed to get past the design stage.

You might’ve read it…he looked absolutely fine in both games to me. Today he made a weak tackle on their goalscorer. That’s about the only thing I’d pick him up on.
There was some general commentary stuff re right footed players playing left side, but just commentator / co-comms stuff imho.
Asked an Oxford player if anyone stood out after the game, seems he was very impressed by RD.
‘Mehmeti was decent but Dickie probs the best. His passing is class literally starts most attacks’
‘Yeah tbf all the boys at Oxford said him and that Atkinson are best centre halves they’ve seen or played with. But Dickies passing today was a joke.’
Some of the comments I’ve seen on here/Twitter don’t seem to be agreeing with his view though.
Hopefully Dickie will be as influential as Webster was for us in terms of distribution & bringing the ball out from the back.

The two sides of the argument. I liked both posts. It’s why I am just gonna accept what happens, whichever it is.
I’d also accept whatever happens, because like I said ultimately he is a good player. But I would’ve preferred if he committed to us day one & did pre season with all the other players. Can’t replicate the conditions in Austria again.
For what it’s worth, I’m not sure Pearson is the sort of man to leave a contract offer on the table this long is he? Has he mentioned anything to do with it recently? Must admit I’ve switched off more from City related stuff this summer than I have done previous years.

Cardiff are financially a bit wobbly aren't they. If he went to them and we didn't match their wage offer I'd be pretty disappointed.
We need an extra body who can play the two centre-half roles and he knows the team and city inside out. I'm still hopeful he signs.
How hungry is he to play for us?
He’s almost missed the whole of pre season now & shopped around all summer for a new club.
If he re-signs, I won’t be too disappointed because he is a good player, but I feel like if he comes back here it’s because we’re the final resort.

Little bit of chatter about Lloyd Kelly earlier in the thread. This guy seems to be an analyst. I wonder...nice little sell-on bonus?
I can’t imagine they’ll make profit on LK with a year to run. Hope I’m wrong though, would be nice to earn a bit more from that sale.

Some will prefer to have it on their phones and some will prefer to have a card. I really don’t see why this should annoy others regarding the decision other fans make.
The club should accommodate for both & it looks as if they are.

For those who were wondering, no barcode on the mobile tickets, so you won’t be able to simply screenshot and send to a mate if you’re not going.

Ipswich so good, so composed. Every clearance seemed to find one of their players whereas when we clear the ball away we’re just hitting an area and hoping someone’s there. They kept their shape unbelievably well.
I’m rarely that impressed by opposing sides.
Felt there was quite a difference in quality tonight, but we gave it a good go for 20 odd mins of the second half.
Sooner we get a proper keeper in the better. Also not impressed by Weimann & Bell at all the last two games.
