It’s the first time I’m going to be seriously considering it. I still expect I will but I’m the closest I’ve ever been to not bothering.
I’ve lost a bit of interest since lockdown tbh. I started watching my local team & I’ve found the non league stuff a refreshing change. Had a season ticket 25 years & this season I’ve already missed 4 home games through choice. Probably missed 4 odd through all of last season, and prior to that I would rarely miss a game.
Used to get to 8-10 away days a season, now I find myself doing 1 or 2.
Probably do need an exciting season to get me fully on board again. I was gutted at the start of the season when we sold Scott, and didn’t reinvest. It killed off any hope I held for this season which was little anyway.

If we ever go up, will you all be saying the same.
3pm kickoffs and PL..is sketchy indeed.
Sunday games will become more common, irrespective of rugby clashes. Bournemouth have had 3 Sunday games already, 2 of them at home.
I doubt it, but then there will just be a general buzz around the place at being a PL side. A Sunday game against Spurs is a lot different to a Sunday game against Norwich!
If after 5 seasons of Crystal Palace like results, I expect I would happily miss Sunday games again.

Not interested in going on a Sunday, especially when it’s an early kick off. 6 of us didn’t bother.
Along with the weather & being near to Christmas, it doesn’t surprise me that attendance was low.

Clevedon Town carried on their unbeaten start to the season, they currently have 10 wins and 3 draws from their 13 games this season. Sit 3rd in the league with 2 games in hand on the top 2.
Bridgwater sit 2nd at the mo after their Friday night win at Nailsea & Tickenham. Thought they’d lose a few more of their players but they’ve only lost two so far & have managed to keep a hold of the top goalscorer in the league Jack Thorne.
Dave Pearse their former manager has joined the coaching team at Exmouth Town in the division above. Probably a bit far too attract any of his former players unless the money is right!
Portishead Town still top of Toolstation Div 1 & Ethan Feltham can’t stop scoring (30 goals from 19 games) They’ve also just signed a lad called Joe Berry from Nailsea & Tickenham who imo was their best player. Be a big loss for them!

Did anyone else from the staff get the boot?
Wondering if Llewy was still there?
Don't expect a few will be hanging around
Llewy been given the managers job mate!

Would keep an eye on that one, will be more developments. Chairman is a bit of a…uh…character, manager got sacked in front of the players.
Yeah I’ve heard the players aren’t too happy about it & a few 7 days will be/have already gone in from some other local clubs for a few of them.

Bridgwater United have sacked their manager after losing their 3rd game of the season (P14 - W10, D1, L3)
Currently sit in 2nd, 1 point off the top & still in 2 or 3 cups including early stages of FA vase.
Mad!

OTC is the one of the three that surprises me. I thought he'd be the one to push on this season, especially with Scott leaving and so many injuries. Does anyone know why he has drifted so far from the first team? I'm not sure if I can remember him even being on the bench this season and, if he has, I certainly don't think he has come onto the pitch...
@GrahamC posted recently that something happened in Austria pre season which is why we’ve not seen OTC or Francois.

Clevedon Town going really well so far in the Toolstation Prem this season, unbeaten in the league.
Have an excellent keeper there who is definitely good enough to go up a league or two.
Bridgwater still have to be the favourites to win it & if they manage to keep a hold of their young striker Jack Thorne for the year that’ll be massive (NLS interest)
Scott Murray’s son, Jay also playing there, bit too good for the division if you ask me, but Weston Super Mare didn’t fancy him in NLS.
Portishead Town also going really well in the division below. Have a player up front who’s contracted at the club for the season (really rare for that level) scoring goals for fun. A few good sides like Brislington, Wincanton & Cribbs Reserves all going well & providing some early season competition for promotion though.
Roman Glass on the march in the Hellenic Prem as well, slow start to the season but they’ve won 7 of the last 10 to move into fourth.
Not so local but Worcester City looking well clear of the rest in that division, they average between 350-400 at home in what’s effectively the 9th tier of English football. Their local derby away at Worcester Raiders (who play in an 12,000 seater stadium) earlier this season pulled in an attendance of 2475!

Another myth that seems to be accepted as fact on the pod is that Naismith can’t play at the back as he’s beaten in the air too easily. I’m sure Naismith was top of duels won in the league at some point (maybe @Davefevs could confirm)

Never bothered with 3 Peaps, as people have said it seems a bit too close to the club.
I listened to OSIB for a couple of years, and really enjoyed it. The ‘Cider With’ episodes are excellent.
I wonder why the club are less willing to record any content with you boys now? @petehinton any ideas?
I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I moved across, but I started listening to FBC a while ago & never looked back. I find that they agree less on there with each other & whilst Ian frustrates me a lot of the time, I still enjoy listening to each side of the debate.
In regards to the Manning/Pearson stuff being mentioned, I feel like Manning will have a shorter period of grace from a lot of the fans because a lot of the fans didn’t want Pearson gone, and that’s a rarity when a football manager is sacked.

Short as well?
Not sure mate, just know the assistant will be joining & that an analyst they bought in is still doing the Oxford game later. Not sure if he’ll be joining at a later date or not.

His assistant is joining with him.

Again he took Oxford training this morning
Have a mate that plays for Oxford & I asked him are you gutted if he leaves & he said yeah cause he played me every week
He also said he’s up there with the best managers he’s played for & that they play really good football.

FWIW I don’t care who we appoint…but I’d quite like City to have a bit of profile. I do get cheesed off and the winkathon other clubs get from Sky. I’d like us to for once.
Yeah I get that. I’ve been asked a few times by mates who I’d want, and for some reason this time round I just don’t really have an opinion on who as long as it isn’t Nathan Jones.
Wouldn’t have minded a coach coming in from abroad to see something a bit different but not that arsed either way.
I get your point regarding Lampard, but will equally piss some of our fans off being referred to as FLBC but then at least we are being spoken about as you say.

His choice.
Fair, I won’t argue with that I’m just going off what he’s told me.
Still, wonder if the rumour is true.
Got a lot correct over the past year or so.

Any idea why @bcfcshags has been removed from the forum? Does the club have a say so in what goes on, on here?
He’s just let me know that he believes Lampard will be announced Monday.

Took Oxford training today so not sure if that rules him out or not.
I tend to think if we’re going to hire someone already in a job, which requires permission to speak with them, we’d hear about it through journalists etc.

The interesting bits for me so far have been the unusually long breaks the players were given during the International Breaks. Had LJ done that followed by an injury crisis then there would have been pandemonium on here and rightly so.
Perhaps Johnson should’ve done that more, we usually came back after international breaks playing abysmally. I think @Olé once wrote a thread on it.
Like Fleming said, I don’t believe many of the injuries occurred out of games did they?
Anyone know if they played the interview in full or did they play clips throughout the show?

King definitely is, think @B-Rizzle is probably spot on with his team, Roberts was apparently in the training video so expect him to feature.
If not then probably Idehen, with Pring in his natural position.
That’s a weight lifted knowing Roberts is fit. Time for him to step up & show us why we signed him. Hopefully does well. Will be a tough game against Bowler!

With this in mind, my team would be:
O’Leary
Sykes Dickie Pring Roberts
Weimann TGH Knight
Cornick Conway Bell
Bench: all the kids plus Mehmeti
After watching Bell the last two games I think it’s time to give him a rest. He’s not been involved at all. Mehmeti from the start for me.

Hope you are wrong about Matty James…..
He’s not. James is out for a while.
If Roberts & King are also both injured today god knows who plays left back & CM.

I think this season would have proved to them how far ahead of them we are in terms of player quality.
Hunt wasn’t good enough for us 2 and a half years ago & Martin wasn’t good enough for us a year ago.
Both are probably their best players this season.
Their recruitment strategy in the summer should be to look at any player City have released in the last 18 months and pray they’ll agree to join.
