  2. Nice to see they gave a fan a game..... Oh....sorry....misread Bignot....
  3. Aren't they all one and the same.....?
  4. At temple meads this morning, there was a group of lads heading to Cheltenham. They were passing round the hand sanitiser and cleaning their hands.....and then passing round a bottle of lager (Corona, no less!) and sharing it! ?
  5. You do realise football existed in this country before 1992, right.....?
  6. Don't talk utter rubbish. We couldn't win the Champions league untill 2022, so cannot defend it in that year. It'll be 2023. Some people come out with utter rubbish! In terms of playing behind closed doors and streaming them. At least one person said the quality of the match was high, but was weird due to no crowd. How would people feel about canned crowd noises in those circumstances? Would that make it more palatable? (or maybe rather less unpalatable?).
  7. Only discussed insofar as news outlets reported that several nations had asked for it to be postponed, only for UEFA to come out and say that they've not received a single request to do so! No talk of it being considered at the moment.... though it would make sense to have the idea simmering.
  8. Absolutely. My point was more that to reduce it to 300 out of 67m is very dismissive. The sensible approach is to be cautious, but not worried; but also not complacent. Seems to me that there seems to be two extremes of views and very little in-between. We're either all going to die, or no-one is going to be a risk!
  9. Don't get me wrong - I would loooooove for it to happen..... I just can't realistically see it!
  10. Again.....skewing facts by using unrelated figures. Whilst it's not incorrect to say 319 cases confirmed out of a population of 67 million, the more accurate description of the fact is that it's actually 319 cases confirmed out of approximately 20,000 people tested. It's like saying that if you were to hold a poll on here about whether you wanted Rovers to go bust and 100% of 50 voters said yes, then the Rovers fans would be able to say "yeah, but it's only 50 people out of 67 million in this country - everyone else obviously loves us"! You're basically applying gas logic to your argument!
  11. 13 points and a 12 goal swing would be one hell of a turnaround....and that's assuming that everyone between the slags and Tranmere also fails to pick up any points. Coughlan did enough before he left to ensure they won't go down. Garner has done enough since he joined to ensure they won't go up either!
  12. The sad reality is that there just isn't enough data yet for anyone to even be an expert on this strain... let alone have an expert opinion.
  13. That certainly won't be happening this year, so I guess the hope for Wally is that he himself will be rid of the club before it gets to that level.
  14. PSG vs Dortmund will be played behind closed doors this week... That will certainly be the starting point over here rather than all out cancellations I'd imagine.
  15. The flaw in your logic there Dave is that your completely made up figure could only possibly be considered accurate if the entire population had been tested. As it stands, we're looking at approximately 300 out of 20,000 tested have had positive results. Meaning that it's actually showing at around 1.5% infection. With the greatest of respect, if you're going to throw figures round at least consider the context first.
  16. I thought I'd read that adding the womens matches to the Gate full time would impact the already well used pitch. The same with the U23's. Failand would seem to be the logical place when the training ground is built, but it's not really the most accessible for supporters, which is where SGS has a massive advantage.
  17. Glad it wasn't just me that doesn't have the foggiest idea what Bert's on about. It seems supporting our six fingered cousin loving neighbours has finally done him in.
  18. 20,000 people simply chanting "Keep right on" (to the tune of "here we go") should be easy enough to catch on as well. It seems to be his catchphrase, so let's make it happen. Inspiring little lad. For anyone not aware of his battle.... https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/first-christmas-home-little-bobby-17415728
  19. Their keeper.....looking wistfully over towards Ashton Gate wondering where it all went wrong!!
  20. This won't be an issue. B&Q are always having sales on white plastic garden chairs...
  21. Bristol Sport do....and have done for some time it looks like. The announced deal they were on about was a renewal of the partnership where they supply fresh produce to the Bears and Flyers. But we all know the Sags don't like to let little things like facts get in the way of anything. https://www.bristol-sport.co.uk/news/bristol-sport-team-up-with-total-produce-foodservice/
  22. They were managed by him for many years. I swear I heard they were under A Cheever....
  23. Well if they'd done their jobs better they wouldn't have been relegated! In my opinion, football won't change its ways in this country until parachute payments are abolished. Then proper management of mid-level clubs will have to happen. That includes promotion pay boosts and relegation pay cuts in all contracts to ensure that should the drop occur, they can still manage financially. Until this happens, clubs will continue to financially mismanage themselves. Yes, it creates a divide at the top of the prem and makes breaking into it difficult, but Leicester managed it well enough, so it's not impossible.
  24. If you're gonna take the piss at last keep it relevant and accurate. Premiership rugby has no bearing on Bristol City, and it was Lloyd Kelly we sold to Bournemouth, not Liam. Selling players to Cardiff and Fulham isn't a massive shouting point either to be honest. They've given us so much over the years. Let's at least rub the good stuff in! Rest of your points spot on though BR. ??
