  1. It wuz those gurt tedz wurkin for da press dat leeked it.
  2. I don't....you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.... They knew exactly the sort of person they were appointing and most of the fan base celebrated it. They get everything they deserve. I couldn't resist....I'm just surprised that they aren't more comments!
  3. 100% this. All they've done is tried to give themselves an excuse when it all surges further and we head for another lockdown by saying..."Well we did advise you to do this and that. Not our fault you didn't ensure our advice was followed." A football club has every right to stop someone entering if they are not wearing a mask, been jabbed or taken a test. It's private premises and they are free to change their ground policies at any time they wish, including conditions of entry. If they decide that they won't allow people onto their private premises in this scenario then actually you would have no legal angle to battle them with.
  4. Did you watch us at all last season...? The grass probably moved more!!!
  5. Genuine question and 100% not a piss take....but how do you cope with the City kit and the pitch?
  6. They'll do that easily when Messi signs for us I'd imagine. I presume he's included in the figures at the moment?
  7. But let's not forget he already tried to invest in them and they turned him down, leading him to come to us instead...just like Harry Dolman...(they really don't learn!) There's no reason for us to believe that they would have decided any differently had we ceased to exist. Of course, had he had the same appetite for sport in the area, and there's nothing to say he would have, then he may well have bought them when Higgs sold up. As far as I'm aware though it was owning City and seeing what other successful clubs did that gave him that thirst for improving sport in and around Bristol. Woulda, coulda, shoulda....It's all eggs, bacon, beans and a fried slice in the end....But don't quote me on that.
  8. Following on from the question asked below are there plans to bring out a bigger range of items. The other year I got my boy a duvet set and curtains which he would love to update to ones with the new badge etc. Other things like City PJ's, onesies etc for kids would be a massive hit I'm sure.
  9. Someone seriously feels they're in a position to criticise a ground with one bad end? Ah.....so covid is responsible for them playing their marquee signings in front of marquees? Right you are. For all in tents and purposes they may have a point...they couldn't upgrade their tents to gazebo's with Go Outdoors closed I suppose! Good what now?!? They're hilarious! The number of them taking his dig about the ground as a personal attack on them is mind boggling!
  10. Yeah, until Louis Donowa came along those feckers had the hoodoo over us! I think we still had to wait until Seal & Agostino before we won at Trumpton....I expect @Never to the dark side still has the Triumph at Trumpton VHS buried somewhere! In his defence, where else was he supposed to do it....didn't they "forget" to build toilets there?
  11. The fan base is unbelievable in fairness..... as in you can't believe a bloody word they say!!!!
  12. Jeez..... their spelling is awful! Tickets are now off-sale for a week while seats are reallocated. That's not how you spell "relocated"! I presume they're maybe taking the roof off one of the stands to pop it in the washing machine and they just don't want the seats getting wet.....
  13. I would be happy with b). Even a 3 point deduction would be enough to send them down.
  14. I certainly hope that it isn't their argument! You can't win a legal battle with an outright falsehood...well...ok, you probably could, but not in this case. If the EFL apply the points deduction they'll either end up relegated and start the season in league one, or they'll apply it to next season and Derby will start with negative points in the Championship. But to say that Derby are in league 1 now is simply not true!
  15. Whilst it's right to recognise the achievements of Harry and Alan, what Coops did went far, far, far beyond any success the club may have achieved. He literally dragged this club up from the gutter in it's darkest days and gave the club back its heart and soul. No other manager in my lifetime (43 yrs) has come close to the monumental achievement that Terry Cooper fought for in my opinion. Football isn't all about winning matches.
  16. Whilst you're right of course about not missing that particular "landmark", it does actually raise nostalgia in the write up. Floodlight pylons for my years growing up and going away with the City served as excellent landmarks to spot whilst driving around the country. "Look over there - that's Walsall's ground" - "Over there, Brentford's floodlights" etc etc. The country's skyline will never feel as exciting again.
  17. The article was wrong...they were destroyed in a small chip pan fire a few weeks before.
  18. Missing: Last seen in Portsmouth, but resides in the Whorefield area of Bristol. If spotted, please contact Wally Al Qaida.
  19. Bleeding hell that hurts the eyes! Who was making that and thought that would be a good colour contrast?!?!?
  20. In fairness to Wally, he too is pumping in 10s of pounds! They're coming for us, don't you know?!?
  21. They do put the Tit in Titanic..... I have to admit I don't find these funny in the slightest. To be honest I find them disrespectful and in very poor taste indeed. Don't get me wrong, Hitler was an evil son of a bitch, but even he doesn't deserve to be labelled a Gashead!!!!
  22. Anyone else hoping they win their next 2 games 2-0 and everyone above them loses....and then they win their final match with Wigan behind in the 93rd minute before an inexplicable Swindon own goal rescues a point for the Latics and sends the six fingered cousin lovers down? They say it's the hope that kills ya. They'd be celebrating and celebrating only to come crashing down to earth!
