I always think that clubs the size of ours (and Brightons historically) only get a shot at promotion every 5 or 6 years from the Championship and if you don't take it then the other 4/5 years are about staying in the division. Sadly Brighton took their chance and we have failed to take either of the two we've had.

Our better players had unusually poor games today, never seen Williams look that sluggish before, HNM was anonymous, Semenyo sloppy in possession. Interesting comparison that, if Bellingham were to leave Dortmund this summer I wonder they would be looking at AS, he's obviously not at Bellinghams level currently but the potential is there and they have a track record now with young English talents.
