  1. Most of the posts were taken totally out of context and were stating fact. Of course there some heat of the moment posts as well.
  2. If you don't read the context that surround posts, it is often not criticism it's fact at that point in the game. It was a great and wholly unexpected result for the first hour of the game, let's celebrate that and not dwell on the odd comments made in the heat of the moment or stating facts but taken out of context, as I said 3 points I wasn't expecting on the hour mark.
  3. I am sorry I do not understand your post at all, if I had the ability to know with certainly the score of todays game, I would have bought a lottery ticket and gone through every racing card in the UK today and be on my way to the casino. Your comments should be directed towards LJ, the person I assume you believe you are defending in some bizarre way.
  4. And I love reading bull posted by people picking out odd posts without bothering to read or even understand the context under which it was posted. I was watching the game and directly after Hull's 2nd goal, we were in fact being battered a battering that lasted 10 minutes and could have resulted in more goals, we were in panic mode, until we took the game by the scruff of the neck and then relieved the pressure somewhat by Flint's goal. Perhaps had you bothered to read my half time post and full time post instead of randomly picking out posts and shoehorning them into a 'look at me' post, you would have possibly understood the context, why not even add LJ's post match comments to your sneering post he pretty much backs up what I said.
  5. Well to be honest 10 minutes after their 2nd goal I thought that we were looking at a big defeat, they were battering us and our defending was very shaky. But fair play to LJ and the team they then took the game by the scruff of the neck and aided by Flint’s goal at a good time suddenly started to believe and I for one believe we deserved that win. Fielding 6 deserved better cover for both goals. Wright 4 a game to forget at fault for their first goal. Flint 6 he is a warrior. Baker 6 always calm. Magnússon 5 to be fair he was ok but at fault for the 2nd goal. Brownhill 8 played really well throughout especially in the 2nd half where he was the best player on view, great goal, great talent, MOM. Pack 3 rightly subbed, lucky to be on the field and every single one of his fouls were unnecessary. Smith 6 not at his best but came to the fore when we started to take control of the game. ODowda 6 always a threat, hope the knock he took is not too bad. Reid 6 not at his best but yet again in the right place for his goal. Woodrow 6 I thought he looked ok, without being a goal threat, I suspect he was sacrificed to allow a different approach. Eliasson 7 best crosser at the club great free kick leading to the first goal. Patterson 7 managed to achieve what had been missing, moving their back 4 around. Djuric 7 gave them something different to think about. LJ 8 took a gamble and it paid off but at least he is prepared to do that and well done him, all 3 subs affected the game and ultimate result and I think we deserved it.
  6. Got exactly what deserved there our defence has been shocking in the 2nd half, this is not good.
  7. Firstly as it stands there is still something in this game for us, my biggest worry is we don’t look as though we have a goal in us, of course I hope I am wrong. We are holding our own in midfield but our passing is woeful, Brownhill is playing really well but he and Smith keep taking the wrong passing options, ODowda is playing well but he delays his pass to often and is dispossessed also his pass selection was brought to the fore when in a very promising situation on about 40 minutes he ignored Reid in a very promising position wide of the 18 yard box and passed instead into the overcrowded middle edge of the 18 yard box, Pack is a ******* idiot trying his best to get sent off 2 unnecessary fouls in the first 5 minutes brought him a booking and 2 more unnecessary fouls have left him walking a tightrope, none of his fouls can be described as taking one for the team. Reid has been poor passing and especially his ball control, Woodrow hasn’t been bad but keeps turning into trouble instead of away from it and he is a very lucky boy he committed 2 similar fouls to Pack and has managed to get away with it so far. Wright went to sleep for their goal and totally lost his man and Fielding spotting the danger late did not help. As I said there is still something in this game for us, but we need to change our passing options otherwise we have no goal threat. We are missing Bryan and oh yes yet again our free kicks are ******* abysmal.
  8. The second best team with the name Rovers in the West Country.
  9. Yep but come on Phil even you must be hoping that the 3.5 hour return journey is a miserable one.
  10. Where's Lenny Henry when you need him?, oh yeah sleeping in a premier inn somewhere.
  11. Nottingham have beaten Ealing 28-27, happy days.
  12. Indeed and the prospect of Charles Piutau to boot, happy days.
  13. My biggest worry is as with their last promotion season Bristol scored a lot but conceded a lot as well and that is all well and good in the championship but will get found out again in the premiership, it is an area that they will need to strengthen and to work on.
  14. I thought in a way both teams cancelled each other out, two teams playing a similar style. Where we excelled was especially in the first half Reid and Taylor chased and harried your back 4 and to be honest I thought your back 4 looked to cocky at times and was expecting a mistake at any minute and your midfield had to drop deep to help the back 4 out and that enabled our midfield to push up and for the most part dominate the midfield area, which was the key for us. We kept Bannan fairly quiet and when that happened you began to run out of ideas. Wallace was anonymous, Rhodes just isn't a threat any more and Hooper never got going. I said at half time that after the first 10 minutes I sensed your fans were not convinced by your team and went very quiet and looking to get on the back of the players. Looking at the 2 teams when January comes, we have quite specific needs, your needs (if you are going to push on) are probably more drastic.
  15. His reply was nonsense IMO, I thought it was a strong performance against a dangerous team, the effort was outstanding.
  16. Well at least one very important thing was cleared up today. He's not Jesus so he must be a very naughty boy. roger wade‏ @gasheads47 FollowFollow @gasheads47 More DC isn't Jesus he cannot continue to perform miracles on the resources he has available if @waelalqadi doesn't invest then DC will walk and believe me that isn't a good thing #FTG
  17. He certainly does, if I was a supporter I would be worried, he didn't convince me.
  18. Totally agree there is a very good player in there but he needs to get closer to his man and most importantly he needs to get it into his head that you don't get time to fart around on the ball and indecision will catch you out in this division.
  19. I thought Reid and Taylor were a handful today (admittedly without creating much) but what their buzzing around and chasing defenders achieved was that Wednesday's quality midfield had to drop back to help out enabling ours to step up and for much of the game boss that area, midfield supremacy is the key to gaining results and being difficult to beat.
  20. Spot on, Bryan, Reid, ODowda and Brownhill have all improved and we will do well to hold on to them IMHO. Their improvement has made life easier for our back 4 and has led to a fit Smith returning to the player that we had 2 years ago.
