  1. The stats are interesting, 52.2% v 48.8% possession, we had more shots with 2 on target and they had none.
  2. He made at least 2 mistakes in the first half that Joe Bryan covered for him, 5 minutes into the 2nd half him and Fielding almost conspired to give a goal away, then got done by trying to be far too casual and 5 minutes later Bryan ripped him a new one after he farted around and then had to give a free kick away. He is IMHO generally far too casual and in the first half should have got closer too his man, to fair that did improve in the 2nd half.
  3. Be in no doubt we are a very good side and well deserving of our hard earned point, I love the fact that unlike the last 2 seasons we are not a team that will be bullied, in fact I thought our midfield was terrific today. This was another strong performance. Fielding 6 usual poor kicking and 1 mix up with Magnússon, but did little else wrong. Smith 8 terrific, strong always available and a great leader. Flint 8 usual commanding performance. Baker 8 he is quality. Magnússon 5 so frustrating far too casual for me. ODowda 7 all round game is improving by the game, especially his heading. Brownhill 9 probably his best game for BCFC, MOM. Pack 8 had one of his better games. Bryan 7 so mature these days, even had time to rip Magnússon a new one after a casual mistake. I hope his injury is not a bad one. Reid 7 his workmate is incredible, never gives up. Taylor 6 to be fair he worked really hard rightly subbed he was tiring. LJ 8 pretty much spot on all round, I might have brought Leko on, I think there was more space for him in this game than recent games. Djuric 6 gave them something different to think about, should have done better when put clear. Patterson 5 had a reasonable chance but took the wrong option.
  4. They are certainly a good side and have had plenty possession, but they haven’t troubled us that much and we are certainly not over awed by them and are playing well, if anything I think our midfield has performed better than their’s. Nobody looks out of place, ODowda and Brownhill are playing well and Smith is terrific again. Reid and Taylor are working hard and putting their back 4 under pressure, they are a little bit overconfident at the back and I think will eventually make a mistake. What I have noticed is apart from the first 10 minutes the Wednesday crowd has been very quiet, I get the impression that the crowd are not totally convinced about their team and sound as if they are looking for an opportunity to get on the teams back, typical one time big club who feel an entitlement especially every time one of their players goes down. For us the usual niggles Fielding’s kicking and the occasional over complication in attacking positions. One last thing the WWE tactics by their defenders at every single corner of ours is beyond belief.
  5. The bloke is full of shit and if gasheads still believe his camel shit, they seriously need therapy.
  6. I found this if it helps:- Islamic Finance is based on the Profit-Sharing principle. In other words the parties are Owners of the Asset/Venture for which the loan is being advanced. It is important to understand that Islamic Banking is based on a strong value system. It lays great emphasis on equity and investment in the real economy. Rather than providing a lucrative financial alternative to investing in the real economy, Islamic banking complements and strengthens the latter. It ensures that financial capital does not lead to artificially bloated asset prices. Instead, it is made to work in the real economy, on real projects. Thus, instead of traditional accounts with given interest rates, Islamic banks provide accounts which offer profit/loss. The bank in turn purchases assets with your money, which generate returns for the bank. High degrees of uncertainty or gharar are not allowed. All possible risks must be identified to investors, and all relevant information disclosed. Islamic finance requires you only invest in ethical causes or projects. Read more here: Explainer: how does Islamic finance work? EXAMPLE Housing Loan - The Islamic Finance Alternative You are purchasing a house worth 100,000. You make a down payment of 20,000 and take a loan of 80,000 to be repaid over 4 equal annual installments. Thus, currently own 20% (20,000/100,000 x 100) of the asset. Your repayment schedule would look something like this: So essentially - over the years you are buying a larger portion of ownership of the house. So what does the Islamic Bank get in return? As a co-owner of the house the bank is entitled to charge rent. However, as you buy out the bank’s share of ownership the rent liability decreases over time. Suppose the rent is 2,000 p.a., you will pay as follows: Year 1 - 2,000 x 80% (bank’s ownership% during the year) = 1,600 Year 2 - 2,000 x 60% = 1,200 Year 3 - 2,000 x 40% = 800 Year 4 - 2,000 x 20% = 400 Year 5 - The asset belongs to you 100% - no need to pay rent. The co-ownership factor has several other benefits as well.
  7. Haven't you ever seen an officer and a gentleman? Richard 'Hamster' Gere plays for the gas.

  11. Probably the best thing for them, Bath are going renovate the ground and they can assume the title of their alter ego Bath Rovers or of course Bath might take them over and become Bath City league 2 team?.
  12. So the leper colony has drainage problems? another 'watertight' case for them I guess?.
  13. Sadly poor old knobhead gas got everything totally wrong in his post. 1). Own the stadium. 2). You were going to rent the land from UWE, so still tenants, however in his defence tents are very easy to move quickly to find the next site after the next eviction. 3). Happy days, my arse!.
  14. What I love most is the very slow drip feed of former mugs suddenly realising the truth but the more deluded mugs still finding more and more obscure excuses for this present round of revelations, like 'maybe the work was inferior' (it's for Bristol Rovers FFS of course it's ******* inferior) and my favourite a gashead who went online to check the price of fencing per metre and claiming that they were being ripped off. From this day forward us Ted's should make sure that the gas state of the art training facility being known as the leper colony.
  15. He won flick on's, but the defenders moved him around very easily imo and he never took up a threatening positions when we were attacking, he never got in front of his marker, but he was part of the team that won and he never hid, a fully fit player like him will have better days imo.
