  1. It was a typical scrappy derby but we were the better team and deserved to win, virtually all of Cardiff's best moments came from our mistakes, Fielding didn't have a real serious save to make and we had several other presentable chances during the game.
  2. Not what I saw but hey ho, opinions, opinions. As I said there is definitely something there but it was not wholly evident today for me. Great win.
  3. Patterson is a team mate, fans watch the game and don't have to personally justify their comments to their mate, he was poor but never gave up and never hid.
  4. Today was never going to be a classic but how great was it to see City dig in and not roll over to Warnock’s intimidating tactics, we deserved that win all day long, a great way to into an international break. We look a strong team not easily intimidated and happy to mix it. Fielding 6 little to do, did nothing wrong, let down by Magnússon with their goal. Flint 8 great goal, powerful performance. Baker 7 Hope he is fit. Magnússon 4 not good enough, piss weak for their goal. COD 9 MOM get’s better every game and developing an end product. Bryan 7 so consistent and so strong. Brownhill 8 as good as he is his decision making in dangerous defensive positions and promising attacking positions needs to improve, the impetuosity of youth perhaps. Pack 6 did ok, rightly subbed his impetuosity could have led to 2nd yellow at any time. Smith 6 not at his best but never hides or shirks a tackle. Reid 7 looked sharp today. Djuric 4 easy to to ease off of the ball, spent a lot time on his arse and took up some bewildering positions when were attacking. But there is something there I am sure. Taylor 7 looked good for the time he was on. Woodrow 7 not on long but put himself about. LJ 9 considering the unexpected change over the scandalous Wright decision, tactics and line up were great and substitutions were good, 30 points before Christmas unbelievable Jeff.
  5. Not a lot of quality and fitting that the best move of the game brought our goal but the game is as near to an old school derby as the modern game will allow. In the latter stages of the half Baker looks to be struggling with injury. O’Dowda has hit a confident streak of form and looks the part. Midfield so far today is patchy but holding their own. Typical Warnock team performance, unambitious, but it’s great to see him getting pissed off as usual. Magnússon was piss weak for their goal. My main frustrations are as good as Brownhill is why in a tight game does he feel the need to try to be too clever not only in dangerous defensive situations but also promising attacking positions and why do our big strikers seem so easy to ease off of the ball and spend a lot of time on their arses?.
  6. Shaved her legs and then he was a she She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side.
  7. Not originally they were aimed at some of the comments about the crowd size and comparison that was funny IMO it was banter plain and simple. Yes the powers that be have truly ****** this competition up in another attempt to benefit teams in the prem and at the expense of the 2 lower leagues, IMO they are looking for a way of choking the life out of some clubs to eventually justify a smaller premier league.
  8. Wait till Friday night then and hopefully join in then perhaps. The shortsightedness is not the fault of us fans it's the fault of the powers that be and the fault of being at the level that they are at, I for one might have some sympathy for your view if gas fans actually woke up and smelt the camel shit but far too many of them actually believe that they are/were a big club and they are not, they are almost certainly at their level and even possibly over achieving.
  9. Re Leko it was difficult for him because we were in game management mode when he came on but I thought he did well defensively, Patterson also did well defensively tonight, yes he was greedy at times but I thought he was always a threat.
  10. Maybe but we created probably 4 presentable chances in the 2nd half.
  11. Fulham are yet another team of preening pussies and they certainly don’t like it up ‘em Mr Mannering. In short we could have scored 6 tonight. Proud is not the word. Although free kicks are still super shit. Fielding 7 one terrific save in the 2nd half Wright 7 part of a well drilled defence Flint 7 even some of his long cross field passes were spot on Magnússon 7 Fitted in well Bryan 9 just becomes more and more impressive O’Dowda 8 easily his best game in a BCFC shirt, he terrorised them all night Brownhill 8 has a great engine and improving all of the time Pack 7 played really well, strong all night Smith 9 MOM he was superb Patterson 7 always a threat, a bit greedy at times Reid 8 looked the part again tonight LJ 9 what can I say?, right tactics, right team selections and good use of subs Leko 6 didn’t see a lot of the ball Djuiric 7 gave them something else to think about I don’t want to brag but I called the sending off at halftime.
  12. Let me tell you so far this has been a great performance, IMHO we have been on top for the vast majority of this game and 2-0 is a justified scoreline. The most impressive thing is the amount of bodies we have gotten into their box when attacking. Losing Pisano is a blow, but defensively Magnússon has done well just a few loose passes. Bryan is terrorising them in his more forward position. I will be amazed if their number 47 stays on the field, he has lost his head a couple of times and should be on a yellow already. Yet another ‘entitled’ ex prem crowd just looking for any opportunity to get on their teams back. A special shout out to Korey Smith, he has been outstanding, he is really so important to us, his pass to Brownhill to set up Reid for his goal was sublime and he took his goal so calmly after great work by O’Dowda. Impressive so far.
  13. I love AJ but I didn’t enjoy the fight, I thought it was boring.
  14. I suppose compared to Liverpool this season it was.
  15. Boring fight, thought I was watching strictly come dancing at times. Strange stoppage, the guy was still defending himself ok. Boxing just ain’t what it used to be.
  16. Just read one Sunderland fans forum where one Mackem 'pundit' says that only Flint from BCFC would get into their starting 11 because they have the best squad in the league and it's all Grayson's fault. Typical entitled 'former' big club fan, Bryan, Pisano, Baker, O'Dowda, Smith, Reid and maybe even Đurić and certainly Brownhill as a squad player, would enhance their under achieving pussies on this showing and performances over the past 2 years or more.
  17. You could clearly hear the favourite Sunderland ditty of "your'e not fit to wear the shirt" as they left the field.
  18. I agree with the highlighted parts Major but he was below average and we never ever fully took control of midfield until Smith came on and then everything changed, for the last hour we pretty much controlled the game especially midfield and created several good chances, Reid got greedy and O'Dowda maybe should have done better with 2 reasonable chances.
  19. Indeed but as I said in the ratings I posted earlier in this thread and even LJ alluded to today we almost made a piss poor team with a support waiting to get on to their teams back look like a very average side, the introduction of Smith suddenly gave us midfield superiority and the introduction of Đurić meant the ball was sticking upfield for longer. LJ got his substitutions spot on today. A superb effort indeed but surely we cannot just rest on our laurels. Areas to improve, midfield hopefully a fit Smith will help with that one, better decision making and less over complicating in dangerous positions and being less wasteful in very good positions. Oh yes far far better free kicks.
