  1. You will have to show exactly where I wrote anybody off?. I said the game was winnable based on what I have seen so far.
  2. Well I am watching the game on a live feed and I am telling you what I have seen in the 1st 45 minutes, what is difficult to understand about that?.
  3. Apart from down our right side where Vyner and COD are having mares, just not strong enough or closing down nearly close enough.
  4. Firstly this is a winnable game, Reading aren’t all that. Vyner is having a mare, far too lightweight not getting close enough to his man and casual, his weak challenge led to Baker having to make a rash challenge for his yellow card. He is not being helped by COD who is another lightweight and has offered nothing in this game whatsoever. I only realised Patterson was playing when he took a corner, the game is passing him by. Brownhill lacks pace but looks a better midfield combination with Smith who is the best player on the field, best pass of the day to Bryan and got Vyner and COD out of jail more than once. But the midfield looks unbalanced to me with Patterson and COD. Diedhiou his first touch is appalling and his passing almost as bad, we have little or no threat upfront.
  5. Here is the problem. All throughout their history they have bit by bit sold off the family silver and since the loss of Eastville have been looking to build elsewhere and every time they have pushed their luck knowing totally that they do not possess the funding to actually build their new stadium and hoping that at some stage the tax payers of Bristol will either fund or part fund their dream aided and abetted by the council, luckily the council for once knowing how their plans fail due to lack of finance carry out due diligence, the UWE is not the only plan to be scuppered once the council utter the words "show us the money", the UWE is probably the 4th or 5th such grand plan. I have 2 small snapshots of gas logic, firstly when the gas were about to leave Eastville a gashead mate of my dad said "City should allow us to own half of Ashton Gate" to which my dad replied "yeah right and the BCFC board come in one day to find you ******* have sold off your half to pay off debts". And secondly on a trip to Manchester once with 2 gasheads, I managed to survive to the outskirts of Manchester without exploding listening to these ******* bleeding hearts "why do BCFC fans hate us so much?, all we want is somebody to GIVE us a ground", by then the ******* were playing at the Memorial stadium FFS.
  6. Well he has earned a lot of money at a lot of different clubs and had a few good games and is now plying his trade with Celtic in a one horse race league. As for Rosie Webster, I suppose as long as the relationship is not founded on intellectual/stimulating conversation then yes the gas can claim credit for that.
  7. Give the poor tossers a break, wouldn't you go to away games to stadiums that are actually fit for purpose for a change?.
  8. Embarrassing beyond belief, Bristol playing like a bunch of pussies, defence, handling and decision making is awful, they look as though they thought that they only needed to turn up, very lucky to still be in touch with them.
  9. I agree with the last sentence, however as you were at pains to say in the Joe Bryan thread about rather believing professionals than fans, it was those self same professionals that made the statements about England sometimes not taking tests seriously. And by way of a PS:- if England manage to lose the 3rd test (a distinct possibility) the 2nd test will be seen exactly for what it was a huge mistake.
  10. The evidence is England batted poorly in their first innings, had not bowled that well for West Indies first innings and then had managed to extricate themselves from an even more embarrassing result in their 2nd innings. He declared with 6 overs left on day 4 and West Indies won with 5 overs remaining. I believe that having been given an unlikely reprise the order of the day was safety first and ensure at least that the West Indies could not win the 3 match series, something that is now a possibility. For me it gives more creedence to the argument that England don't take 5 day test matches seriously.
  11. Root pushed his luck going for a win in a game that they never deserved to win, he should have batted on and made the game safe, it was a piss poor call.
  12. Typical England performance after a great win in the first test. I am afraid that some of them believe their own press and think they only need to turn up. Root has ****** this up big style trying to be clever.
  13. Come on SL 250k must be his release clause price, we need a another midfielder, surely worth a punt?.
  14. i'm sorry Glyn but if you are going to take the piss it must have a basis in fact, the vehicle is a classic and the renovation makes it worth than the Minimal stadium and the books worth more than their squad.
  15. And loads of overdue books, loans, debts and promises.
  16. Totally agree, a huge money making publicity stunt that offered nothing to the integrity to the sport of boxing.
  17. The only good thing about today on a personal level, after another inept performance from a LJ inspired team and a complete and utter failure by BCFCTV, was I found zebra steaks in my local Lidl and they were gurt lush.
  18. You'd think that we had great options on the bench with the amount of money he has spent on it. He looks totally out of his depth.
  19. I said it all last season and I will repeat again because it is so completely obvious to everybody but LJ. Our midfield is unfit for purpose and playing 2 of them out of position makes it even worse.
