  1. Surprised that LJ has chosen to split up what was becoming a reasonable centre midfield pairing, having said that Pack tends to play much better at home than away, I hope it works out I really do.
  2. I am surprised that they haven't tried "jumpers for goalposts" as a money saving scene.
  3. I agree but it's typical of supporters of teams that have a 'history' they feel that they have entitlement and also as a team Wolves bitched about every single decision.
  4. You are correct but in midfield they were no better than us and that is not something we can often say and defensively they look nervous. it's the first in a long time we have played in an intimidating atmosphere and not folded, I don't think anyone can say that we were intimidated by Wolves as a team or the atmosphere. I actually believe that we deserved the point, my only problem is conceding 2 goals from corners is poor and needs working on.
  5. The 1st goal Bryan got caught out too far upfield and never got back and that left us light at the back, 2nd goal Flint was taken out by flick on and for the 3rd Wright for me was out of position and marking thin air leaving Smith exposed.
  6. A great battling performance unbeaten in 3 tough games + 5 points, LJ can be rightly proud. Fielding 7 didn't do much wrong. Wright 6 was ok. Flint 9 just immense again. MOM. Baker 7 looks a better player than the one we had on loan. Bryan 6 he played well but was caught out a few times defensively. ODowda 7 first 20 minutes I thought here we go again but then settled in and played well for the rest of the game. Brownhill 6 played well but sometimes far too casual in dangerous positions. Smith 7 another terrific game, 2 bad mistakes but always available and willing to have the ball. Leko 7 for his 1st half performance, always a threat, ran out of steam in the 2nd. Reid 6 his fitness and enthusiasm is terrific and always a threat tonight his passing radar was poor. Diedhiou 6 not quite working for him but to be fair he never hides and tonight there were a few glimpses of what he can do. LJ 9 again his tactics were once more perfect and his substitutions spot on, I think we miss Pisano and a back 4 and he has work to do on defending set pieces. Taylor 7 was busy and caused problems. Pack 7 steadied the ship. Patterson 7 looked bright.
  7. He is talking out of his arse, they had 1 clear cut chance and a couple of half chances end of, considering the talent they have they look unconvincing to me so far.
  8. For my money we grew into this game from the moment they scored, 3 at the back has been working ok, sadly the only time it didn't they scored. I think there is something in this game for us, Wolves are not that convincing so far and the crowd seem ready to jump on the players backs. A word for Flint another immense performance so far, I suspect several clubs must wish that they followed up their interest.
  9. What a strange post, but here goes, because the other 3 defenders and the goalkeeper were on the top of their game + what @RumRed said.
  10. I think that an urgent trip ti specsavers should be a priority 'mate', post #575 the quote is linked to my reply, if that is not enough evidence for you post #600 even worked it out for you.
  11. The thing is I can accept a young players making the odd mistake, but today he looked totally out of his depth, that is the difference.
  12. Not sure what you are banging on about mate, my post if you had bothered to actually read what it was in reply to you have seen it was specifically about Vyner's performance and nothing else, certainly not about our general performance. Suppose there is no pleasing some people who don't fully read posts and their context?.
  13. Well on today's showing he is a long way from being championship ready, we got away with such a poor performance today, but we can't keep relying on luck, it's a pity because he is obviously a talent.
  14. Johnson 9 got his tactics right today, Reading became incredibly frustrated and went back into their shell and started to make defensive mistakes, substitutes spot on. Might need better RB cover for Vyner, although I seem to recall Vyner started like this last season and improved.
  15. Fielding 7 Just his distribution again. Vyner 3 looked lost. Flint 9 faultless and 100% commitment considering the past few weeks, MOM. Baker 9 looks better player to the one we had on loan. Bryan 8 improving every game, strong and committed. COD 5 improved in the 2nd half but doesn't impress me, I expect Leko to replace him. Brownhill 7 played well throughout, terrific in the 2nd half. Smith 9 best midfielder on show, always available, hardly put a pass astray, tough in the tackle and several times covered for Vyner's and COD's defensive frailties. Patterson 6 poor first half but improved greatly in the 2nd half, even with his miss. Reid 8 his work rate is incredible and after our goal, he was terrific. Diedhiou 3 needs to warm the bench for a while, 1st touch and passing is poor, spends a lot of the time on his arse for a big guy. Leko 7 gave them something different to worry about and that created space. Pack 6 not on long enough but apart from a silly free kick given away, was ok.
  16. Great win much better 2nd half, a lot of heroes today especially in that 2nd half. Leko coming on was crucial, Reading's defence were clearly frightened of him and they doubled up on him which created gaps. Everybody improved in that 2nd half apart from Vyner who was a weak link throughout. The midfield looked far more balanced for a change.
  17. Vyner looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights, let's hope the Pisano injury isn't serious.
  18. To be fair so far this half COD has improved defensively but Vyner is having a shocker.
