if you scroll to the bottom of the page theres a vid of a mad russian nailing his bollox to the pavement in red square.
Yeah saw that a couple of days ago, I bet his protest will stop Putin from doing whatever he's protesting about, on the other hand if he had asked nicely I expect Mr Putin would have nailed them for him.

There will be plenty of parking spaces for you at the UWE Stadium.
But not for some while yet eh?, and I expect Higgs is saving all his spare change in a jar for the upcoming legal fees he spoke of.

To be honest, I think everyone can do whatever they like.
The only issue I took was reading that I was fickle while driving back from Tranmere by a bloke who admitted he didn't go.
If the reason is because I took my two kids to watch their team (their local football club and good on them) then he's got nothin.
Looks like this may have been your problem on your homeward journey.

Agreed. I haven't read all through the bitchfest on here yet but would like to make 2 points: Yes there are other clubs out there and reading about other people's experiences about attending matches is always interesting. We shouldn't be so insular, maybe if our board would take a wider view we could make some real progress. Wasn't the chairman of Swansea saying just the other day that no other clubs had talked to him about his experiences, sounded like an open invitation to me.
And when Kaiser and co were trekking all the way up to Carlisle the other day I was at Brislington football club watching them against Welling in the cup. I stated before that I was going and made a few posts afterwards. There were a few City fans there that day. I don't remember us constantly getting ridiculed or questioned about where our loyalties lay?
Especially with so many here who actually support 2 teams, I have never understood that one, I just enjoy watching football at all levels and visiting clubs and meeting the fans.
-
You don't think he's also made some ridiculous points as well?
To be honest, I personally have thoroughly enjoyed your contributions, you obviously love this club but are not afraid to make your true feelings known when you believe things that you see especially on the pitch are not right, keep it up.
-
How he can't see the idiocy of calling someone fickle who went to Carlisle and Tranmere when he himself didn't though.....
Honestly it beggars belief...

Right, I'll just spell out what I think TRL is saying for you nice and simple?
You are welcome to your opinion on the board.
You kick up a fuss about bullies when people tell you they don't like your opinion on the board.
You are welcome to your opinion on SOD.
You treat people who dislike SOD exactly the same way you complain about being treated when you slag off the board.
If you can't see the hypocrisy in that, then there's no hope for you.
Well there you go Mr Bird and Spudski are now trading insults, you couldn't make it up.
Yours faithfully
Mr J Paxman

Don't forget Chris Garland grew up there!
**** me the original Stig of the dump then.

I have one hope and that is if we do not achieve planning permission for AV, that SL achieves planning permission for something that'll make every single nimby wish that they hadn't opposed the stadium, a maximum security prison, a big travelers site, speedway, a huge hospital, a leper colony anything because boy don't they deserve it.
-
Yes, they arrived at the Vic 10 mins before kick off, when it was practically empty!
Still, I'm sure that the nimbys prefer to see a scuffle on the street, rather than the sight of people carrying those awful Sainsburys carrier bags.
P.S. Did anybody know that Bury actually had a firm??
Yes, they are called the Neville Neville crew, they are all well groomed I understand.

The things some of us do to support this football club eh
Safe journey Bud.
-
Indeed he did, but his 26% win ratio with us has dragged it down to an overall 35%
Actually I take back my apology it clearly says 'overall' but Mr C has cleverly left that particular 'fact' out of his one liner.
-
Sorry to let facts get in the way but he had a higher win ratio than this at Forest, Doncaster AND Bournemouth...
My sincere apologies my friend, I should have said an overall average win ratio, but of course it's his record with us that is bringing him down as low as it has become.
-
As JT alluded to, another dig at someone EMB?
The fact is I actually don't give a toss whether we win, lose or draw.. none of us can control it so I just go with the flow of the club. Seen more downs than ups so nothing bothers me. If that makes me a happy clapper than so be it.. feels better than being a moaning **** to be perfectly honest.
That's the funniest post on the thread referencing JT when talking about digs, **** me nurse nurse, i've pissed myself.

Ok, fair enough I suppose.
As a counter argument, would you not agree that he took a small club in Doncaster to their ceiling, if you will? If he were to do that with us, we'd be top end Championship (As that is where I would class our potential)
Also, would you not agree that there has been a fundamental change in approach from the top to bottom at this club, and that it is essential for us to do that? I personally see it that way. Whether it takes 1 year or 5 years it's so important to get this route right.
I don't think i'm hoodwinked by the 'bullshit' of management speak, I genuinely think the path we've gone down is the right one and whilst SOD will inevitably make mistakes I'm willing to give him an extended period of time, like I was with Del for a long time and like I was with Millen. Obviously there has to be a middle ground where results come, but as we found ourselves relegated we have the chance for a proper clean slate. SOD's recruitment has been good? I can't really pick any faults in the permanent incomings, the loans have been needed to fill gaps but hopefully in the long term we won't need to go down that route as much.
The football hasn't been the best in the last few weeks, but we've seen a marked improvement in the results, be it wins, clean sheets, less howlers, less goals conceded. We were playing some decent stuff at the start of the season and we deserved to have won games we didn't but for those howlers... Obviously if you lose you deserve to, but you know what i mean. Now he is focussing on getting the defence right, and from that basis we can build our attacking performances, and he probably should have done that from the get go.
Sustainable was the point and he has never achieved that anywhere an overall win ratio of 35% which is poor, my point is we will win a few, lose a few and draw too many IMO.
The highlighted portion is a fair point and one that was forced upon SOD by the poor start to the season, but sooner or later he is going to have return to his footballing philosophy of passing and possession, the way he started the season.
He has made mistakes IMO Harewood and Carey come to mind, his thoughts on Killkenny are nonsense, he claims in one breath that the fans are undermining Killkennys confidence and then replaces him in successive matches once at half time and the other after 35 minutes neither had anything to do with the fans, how do you think that might have affected his confidence?.
The other point i'd like to make is this, I can never forgive the pathetic way we were relegated last season, had we had a real go and still gone down fair enough, why did he feel the need to start his passing/possession footballing style with a squad of players that he, you and I knew were not going to be here whatever the outcome of last season was going to be and too add one other small point to the mix, why oh why did Millen, DMC and now SOD come out with "we knew we had to change things at half time" why wait till half time, usually by half time we have conceded and we are playing catch up or even game over, ******* change it straight away FFS.
-
New buzzword for someone who is a supporter?
Well I guess we are all happy clappers
Yeah but you're a carrier.

It's a sociological analysis of moaning on football forums
I agree nothing to moan about over the past 4 years really, what is peoples problem.
-
Please don't assume that post was directed at you in its entirety, Es.
Please, I'd actually like to hear it as sometimes you come across a bit Jeremy Paxman.. I don't actually know what your opinion is because most comments seem to come across as digs? Just my opinion of your posts on SOD, but fill me in, What do you think?
Simple, I see nothing nothing in his record that proves that he will ever deliver a sustainably consistent team and that is what is needed to compete at whatever level you play at.
-
Nobody is deluded. This run HAS to continue for a good old while yet. Being at least content with a good result without belittling the tactics, manager, players should be NORMAL surely?
Not belittling his tactics, pointing out that it still appears that far too much long ball stuff is being played, when that is not what is being coached, apparently. Haven't mentioned a single player, but i'm sure even you will allow me a personal opinion about the manager and I haven't insulted him.
-
I really don't get your problem with positivity.
I am being positive, 5 games unbeaten is important in our current position, but please don't let us delude ourselves we are cured or even that we lose games because we chase them.

You notice that, when the results were crap, the moaners told us it was all about the results. Now the results are improving, they moan about the performances, even when they haven't seen them.
My face and my palms are beginning to itch...
Like the 20 odd games where people were saying, todays the day 3 points.
-
And we seem to have cut down on those (touches hedgehog)
indeed we have, but my point was I can recall only one defeat this season from going for it and perhaps until we have a few more scores on the doors, that will have to be the case.
-
Flint at port vale? Crewe last minute pen? Ranger 87' winner at Swindon.
That's shite from you...
Bollox, none of those were caused by going for the win all of them were individual mistakes FFS.
-
Great to keep any unbeaten run going, the next lesson has to be learn to kill off games when we are on top.
