Good to know that you take such a keen interest in your stolen spiritual home and its environs ... as the B&Q just up the road closed down in January!

I think they were worried about the new Sainsbury's "just up the road" on Filton Avenue. As you have your finger so firmly on the pulse, maybe you could give us an update on how all that is coming along?  ...or the UWE car park?

No need to tell us about sheds or canopies as we are bang up to date on those

B&Q Muller Road, Ideal site for another failed attempt at a new stadium for the blue few once UWE goes t*ts up.

Just up the road from the greyhound track, just down the road from the stolen rugby ground. :gasmask:

He's literally doing what he said he was going to do .. sort a new stadium but make the mem a bit more comfortable and not throw millions at the club regarding players etc .. I'm confident in our future

Make the Mem more comfortable? Have you ever stood on the away terrace, in the rain, craning your neck to the right to try to get a glimpse of what's going on up the other end of the pitch, whilst having the bloke behind you leaning on your back because the terrace is too narrow. One of the worst grounds for away fans in the country. So I would suggest if they find a few bob down the back of the sofa in the boardroom it needs to be spent on that area first before buying some new white plastic garden chairs for the corporate boxes.

    Awful.

I've said it on here before that I think Higgs made the club a decent proposition for investors by securing a deal with the UWE and pp for a new stadium in a heavily populated area with good road access. I don't believe for a second that the Al Qadis (?) invested in the Gas with any thoughts of staying at the Mem, even in the event of defeat to Sainsburys, it just wouldn't make financial sense.

It'll be done, just a question of when.

Or, sell up & move out of the Mem to a temporary ground share (back to Trumpton?) while waiting for the UWE stadium to get started, followed by delay, delay, delay.

Wally thinks **** this I'm off.

It has happened before, just saying

Nice comment on the Rovers forum:

"It'll only take a few days maybe a week max to put a temporary stand up.
It's basically scaffolding, sheets of metal and some seats."

Obviously no expense spared on the ground redevelopment.

sounds a bit like "the jungle" in Calais

    Heard an interesting rumour,

UWE is set to be delayed by 12 months, anyone else heard this or is it just rubbish?

If there is even a shred of truth in this then surely UWE will go back to plan 'A' and build a 6,000 capacity facility just for students?
