    Good to hear .

Hopefully everyone will behave themselves this time .

Yes, I still feel our fans let us down in the final v Italy, the amount in the ground that had turned up after a 6/8 hour alcohol/cocaine binge and offered nothing towards the atmosphere was a huge shame.

Not sure what you can do but to see Wembley that day absolutely rammed at 1 o’clock with a brilliant atmosphere it was never going to last for the 8 o’clock kick off and beyond.

The whole evening was a lot flatter than it should have been on and off the pitch.

Lovely idea. Vizag holds about 40,000 and Hyderabad is around 55,000, so I expect there to be no issue for you getting tickets. Both are bigger than Mumbai (33,000) where I was in 2016.

I really fancied Dharamsala to mark my 40th, but the only ways to get there was via one flight a day on a tiny plane from Dehli or a long bus trip. The missus wouldn’t sanction me leaving her with the kids for a fortnight! 😅

I didn’t realise they were that big. My mate wants to do Dharamsala but it looks a quite difficult trip and I won’t have too much time, I’m also in the - not sure my wife would allow me away for too long club-  plus I’m not sure about the weather there. I need warm sun.

    Thanks for the information

@ralphindevon What Tests are you planning to go to? The grounds are so much bigger than over here that tickets are never a problem. We bought tickets for all five days of the Mumbai Test for around £15 in total a day before it started. The queue (below) took about 10 minutes.

Assuming you can get to the venue, for example Dharamsala will be much trickier to get to than the other venues, you should have no issue getting tickets from the ground.

I’m still researching but they seem to be not bothering with any of the big grounds in this series.

I’m thinking of a few days at the Visakhapatnam test at it looks an interesting coast and maybe a couple days at the one before in Hyderabad as they’re close together.

It won’t be a long trip, I’m really using it to escape the English winter for a bit and taking in a bit of cricket will be a bonus.

Yes, Mumbai and Chennai in 2016. I don't recall tickets being an issue at all. Very unlikely the matches will sell-out so just buy tickets when you're out there. I can't even remember what we did for tickets, but I definitely didn't have any before going out.

    @tin may recall.

    Cheers.

Yes I must admit you don’t often see capacity crowds for tests but next years are nearly all on smaller lesser known grounds but I’m still confident of getting some.

  5. We need to learn how to defend when we’ve had longish periods without having to do much defending.

Against Leicester when we had a lot of defending to do but we looked pretty solid and it took a penalty to score the only goal.

At home in games we’ve had less defending to do we’ve struggled, Birmingham, Plymouth hit the post and missed a sitter and of course Saturday.

I don’t know if it’s a concentration thing or just getting dragged out of position trying to get a winning goal but I never feel easy when we have a sustained period of attack, I’m always worried a breakaway will lead to a goal.

  6. Why do we cremate the pies? I saw a few people eating them yesterday including the guy in front of me and they are so overcooked they’re almost inedible.

I had one a few weeks ago, about 2.30 so not late in the day and it was so overcooked and dry. Ruined. And if anyone says it’s got to be kept at that heat for H&S reasons how come other clubs manage to serve up a decent pie?

  7. I know the PA system has been well discussed and Bristol Sport don’t want to spend the money but why can’t we have substitutions come up on the big screen?

Other clubs, like Leicester last week do it and it works really well.

The club do plenty of good but you can add the club shop and reward scheme to things they don’t get right, oh and our inability to beat Stoke at home however bad they are.

  8. Well after being stuck in front of the tv I had to listen to radio 5 on the way to football and back.

Let’s just say I’m glad I’ve got Sky. The commentator on the final game must have thought he was commentating on tv as he never told us exactly what happened, you just had to guess, did it go in or not?

I was left unsure if we’d tied the match or lost it.

And then Chappers, who I usually really like summed it up saying another dominant day for the Europeans, the day finished 4-4.

The only bright spot was hearing our very own Chris Wood summarising alongside Chappers. At one point Chappers in a surprised voice asked him “are you allowed to take drinks from the players tee side fridge” Woody said “we’ll nobody saw me did they?”

Sorry but I refuse on principle (and probably political grounds) to eat at any restaurant that uses the term, let alone serves, an ‘amuse bouche’.  Should be closed down immediately.  I regard anyone who favours an ‘amuse bouche’ as my class enemy.

I quite like my Bouche being amused

Things you love to see.   Still think they’ll be strong on Sunday so the closer get to 14.5 before then the better

As we stand it’s still possible for Europe to win it today, which although unlikely the fact we’re even mentioning it is remarkable.

But yes, the singles can throw up some real big comebacks

I think the Ryder Cup needs another close score line, too many one sided home wins lately. Interest will wain coupled with the LIV stuff.

Although I was kind of agreeing with this yesterday, I’m now thinking an absolute thumping would just highlight how pathetic, spoilt and childish a lot of the Americans are.

What maybe needs to happen is a neutral organisation should prepare a course each time so it doesn’t overly favour one of the teams.
