  1. I’ve never heard her commentate but have heard her do match reports and interview the Yeovil managers after games on Radio Bristol as I drive home from games and find her very good at that part of her job. I think her dad is a director or something at Yeovil and thought that might be how she landed the job but I think she’s as good as anyone on radio Bristol. Decent surname too.
  2. I think Jonathan has already said he wouldn’t want to commentate on City in the Premier League. He did say maybe he’d do a one off game or something like that and of course has covered our games before. I can’t remember the podcast it was on, it was from about 4 years ago and is a must listen if you haven’t heard it. Especially for older fans who can remember the first division days. EDIT: Found it, I haven’t listened back yet but will do, it’s brilliant. I think Jonathan only agreed to do 45 minutes or something, it ended up one and a half hours and he could easily have gone on much longer. https://onestreaminbristol.libsyn.com/a-cider-with-jonathan-pearce
  3. Yeah what happened? We’re used to these games producing 6 or 700 runs, yesterday there were less than 450 in both matches combined!
  4. Besides Oxford I don’t think there’s been much between the other sides. I’ve a feeling even in 6 to 8 weeks time our away record will still be better than our home. If we beat Swansea on Saturday we’ll go into the break probably in the top 10, where we want to be. Another away draw won’t feel too bad but going into a two week break on the back of a defeat, in the bottom half, without a win at home and two tricky games next up won’t make for a relaxed break.
  5. True, its always the one's wanting to change that shout the loudest. I think the money he's on paying him off would be mad and wouldn't leave them with any money to get anyone else of that calibre in
  6. Yes they seem to be a second half team, very uninspiring games so far according to a lot of fans but have sneaked a few wins on the trot now. He lives another day
  7. Torquay losing at home to Braintree at HT. Could Gary become the third ex Bristol City manager and the 2nd Johnson to be sacked in just over 24 hours
  8. Before the rugby, the training ground, the robin, the academy……Downsy! Whatever happened to Tim Shires?
  9. Now it’s become easier to pass tickets between each other, we could do with a “place” we can go to if we can’t make a game to pass our tickets on to fellow reds who want to bring a friend or wouldn’t be able to afford to go otherwise. If a small or reasonable fee were involved that would have to be between the two parties. I guess the club wouldn’t be happy with this and was probably the reasoning behind the initial limit to the amount of times you passed your ticket on, which they later dropped…….for now.
  10. Eh? You think we’ve been better in previous games?
  11. If you didn’t enjoy that away performance, barring the poor goal conceded, against a good side that we’ve dominated for a good chunks of the game. You’re either very young and haven’t watched us much before or football isn’t really your thing.
  12. All the best match day threads include Pearson out Lansdown out season card out Best performance of the season Should have won could have scored 4 or 5
  13. Good last 4 or 5 minutes and all in all a good performance, a bit more rub of the green and we’re coming home with 3 points
  14. I'm surprised the EFL don't have a word with City not wearing the club badge in games
  15. Congratulations Gloucestershire. Whatever we all say about the competition as a club you can only beat what’s in front of you.
  16. Yeah and I’ve not told the wife yet! There is a chance she may not agree with my logic. It does feel like we might be better away from home for a while and besides next Easter Monday living in south Devon isn’t great for away days, especially with the continuing train strikes.
  17. A win for us tonight and I’m moving from south Devon to the Midlands. I’ll bin off home games and just watch all the away games
  18. When we have these discussions I’m always struggling to think who we might get in as manager. I see people mention Robins and Schumacher but if they carry on being successful there’s no way they’re going to come here as their next club.
  19. I've done it a few times, especially if I'm with friends who support the opposition as you can get away with it there as ling ss they're sensible. It's a pretty good experience. They used to give you your season card money pro rata back but now its just 10% which doesn't seem fair. Also my seat is much nicer than the one's offered in the HL. All in all I'd only do it now if there was an offer in or I had friends who supported the opposition and we wanted to sit together.
  20. If it was last Boxing Day, that was definitely Baggies fans making the noise
