  1. I can’t help but notice how happy Nahki Wells looks, not just these latest but all recent videos like this. He really looks like he’s loving life. When he arrived he could sometimes give the impression he didn’t want to be here.
  2. Yoy might be right, we'll never know but we certainly mustn't let this incident gloss over the many other wickets we gifted them.
  3. Do you know what, I’ve forgotten who it was! I think the one I’m thinking of was us bowling near the end but yes you’re right, it’s an old trick to distract the umpire from giving a wide……which clearly works sometimes.
  4. I don’t get the people saying the ball wasn’t dead, why wasn’t it? Carey had taken the ball from no shot played, Stokes and Bairstow had made it clear they weren’t running, when exactly is the ball dead? The umpires don’t indicate when a ball is dead after every ball. Maybe the rules need to be clearer, maybe a batter should tap his bat in the crease to indicate they’ve done running or something?
  5. The one where they appealed for caught behind but turned down was deffo a wide. But wouldn’t have made any difference. As soon as a batsman hits a ball it can’t be a wide, so there’s no such thing as caught off a wide.
  6. A great Blast group stage, record breaking amount of wins for Somerset. Also not a single no result in the south group must be a first. On to Friday and Notts at home.
  7. True, we could be two up. It was easier when we just got thumped
  8. Since The 100 arrived and now test series, including ashes, have to be rushed through before August
  9. The most body hits recorded in a test match, 52 so far.
  10. A classic test but some of it has been a hard watch. I can’t remember seeing so many players being hit.
  11. I should add he’s done brilliantly out there so far, I just don’t like seeing him get hit so much, he’ll be too bruised to play the next test in a few days
  12. I know he's a big bloke but why can't Broad duck a bouncer? I'm feeling the bruises from here on my sofa
  13. Even if we don't get over the line it'll be another test we'll look back on and see the amount of wickets we've handed them on a plate, Bairstow the latest knowing we could have won the game
  14. He had done it the previous 3 balls, no advantage was being gained though. But rules are rules i suppose
  15. Yeah unlike a mankad Bairstow was gaining absolutely nothing. Dozy from Bairstow but getting out when your seeking no advantage doesn't seem right.
  16. About time Stokes got riled. This is what we want from him. Brilliant
  17. Stokes protecting the other batsman at only 6 down says it all about our batting line up
  18. If Broad is in for any time, unlikely, they're gonna run out of helmets
  19. If only there were a few talking points in this test.
  20. I've never missed a City game because of another match on tv, or anything on tv come to that. I guess there are those that do though
  21. Yes, then it comes down to the did he have it under control interpretation. I seem to remember a case where a player threw it in the air, it dropped to the ground but was given not out as he threw it in the air when not completely under control, there was no deviation in hand movement. Can’t remember the exact case though.
  22. I guess it would depend what happened to the ball afterwards. Throwing the ball in the air is fine, the air isn’t the ground. The ground isn’t fine, it’s out. But if he threw it in the air before being in control and it then landed on the ground it would be not out, if he re caught it it’s out.
  23. What is Broad doing, the same ball every ball! Aim for the ******* stumps once in a while
