  1. Campbell is a good fighter and odds on him winning look very tempting. I can see Garcia getting a controversial split decision as he’ll no doubt have generous scoring. Campbell won’t roll over.
  2. Many on here, myself included, would've been very happy to sell Bobby Reid for £500k or less up until 2017 when he was 24 years of age. Young players need time. What's great about Semenyo is he has the untrainable physical attributes for the modern game. He's fast, athletic, tall and powerful. He has a decent footballing brain too. Composure and positioning can be trained and generally comes with experience. Semenyo doesn't have a typical academy schooling and it shows at times. It'll come. A good comparison is Tyrone Mings. I've heard this from someone who used to coach at Chippenham and knows his family. He's a good comparison as he had a fairly similar trajectory. He was playing non league football until about 19 but had all the physical attributes for the top. Ipswich, and later Bournemouth, identified this. They knew they could train the footballing side, but what he had was the unteachable athletic advantages for the modern game. A few years later and he's a regular Prem player and has England caps. Bournemouth also signed Lloyd Kelly partly based on this who was identified as having perfect athletic/physical attributes for the modern game. This desire to say "I told you so" about young players is strange. We've seen it this season with Morrell, Massengo and Semenyo.. it's also starting to creep in with Bakinson. Just give young players time to develop and improve.
  3. Try googling hes goal and follow the site - German commentary but no skips
  4. Yep mine playing up, must be lots of people tuning in for main event
  5. I think Pulev is incredibly unlikely to get a decision, unless it's absolutely unquestionable. I could see Pulev late if he fights the perfect fight and just wears Joshua down with his jab ala Joyce vs Dubois or Arthur vs Yarde.. unlikely though. I'm expecting Joshua to win in the first 8 rounds, probably a highlight reel KO.
  6. I think the Fury issue is complex, the context is important. At the time he was going through serious mental health issues. He's also from the travelling community where tradition and traditional family values are prevalent. Doesn't mean I agree with him or that his views shouldn't be challenged though. Have you actually seen what Joshua said to Eddie Chambers or more recently his views about "not shopping at their (white people's) businesses" at a BLM protest? I appreciate the BLM remarks are more nuanced, but the Eddie Chambers stuff is fairly cut and dry regardless of context. It's been well covered up, but it's out there and is easy to find if you look. The difference between the two is the cover up. Fury hasn't had that luxury. When he was going through his issues and made his comments he was treated very critically by the media, Joshua never was. It's the double standard that bothered me. I also dislike Mayweather as a man, doesn't mean I don't think he's a good fighter though. Same applies to Joshua.
  7. We're not talking about Fury though, this is a thread about Joshua's fight and my original comments were about Joshua. I've never denied that Fury has said things too, but the difference is that Joshua's are nicely covered up by his promotion and backers. Similar things have emerged about fellow Matchroom figher Shannon Courtenay over the weekend, she has a nice endorsement with Adidas too. As usual, nicely covered up. Most gifted heavyweight and an exceptional talent. He's flawed but far more entertaining than the mass market engineered Joshua.
  8. Fury isn't perfect but hasn't had the luxury of the Sky/Matchroom machine sweeping things under the carpet for him. Joshua has, they've done an incredible job at hiding his true personality from the mass market due to his endorsements and the power of Sky/Matchroom.
  9. I've only found DAZN coverage so far. @Stortz stream working really well for me. Prefer it to the Sky propaganda personally.
  10. Racist remarks, manufactured personality, marketed to casuals. That's my reasoning. I believe he's very good, less naturally gifted than Fury but comfortably the 2nd or 3rd best in the world right now. I don't think he's a very good guy though. For racist remarks - see the incredibly well covered up Eddie Chambers leaked Instagram DMs 2 or 3 years ago.
  11. Yep they're naturally strapped for cash. Could've potentially sold 60-80k tickets + bar so that's a huge amount of money lost.
  12. You know what I meant.. I really enjoyed Joshua vs Ruiz 1
  13. I hope he doesn't, I find him a very dislikeable character. I'm conflicted tonight - I really want AJ vs Fury next year, but I really enjoy it when Joshua loses.
  14. Just tuning in now - excellent stream, hope it stays this good!
  15. I’m pretty good at finding streams - if this one plays up I’ll take a look and send you all a PM. Good to have crowds back anyway. Bakole vs Kuzmin dropped under the radar a bit, very good fight. Possibly most competitive on the card.
  16. I won't pay £25 out of principle. Will try and find a stream, if I find a good one i'll send you a PM.
  17. Bakole v Kuzmin is a good fight, think Florin Marku is a good character but should be pretty a straightforward win for him. I hope Pulev makes it competitive at the very least, I can't see this going 10 rounds though. Expect AJ to win in the mid-late rounds and look pretty good doing it.
  18. £25 considering the undercard is very poor, I appreciate it's difficult times though. Hearn was desperate to get Fury ringside to face off with Joshua after the fight.
  19. Quite looking forward to it. Can't decide what I want to happen, don't like Joshua so would enjoy it if he loses.. but if he does he'll be tied up for the best part of 2021 with an inevitable rematch so that doesn't mean Fury vs Joshua happens that soon.
  20. Yes I know, been a theme of his career really. He's not a massive draw despite his obvious talent which has had an impact.
  21. I feel like he's wasted his career with inactivity. Covid obviously not helped. I think he's going to end up as one of those fighters where he retires without us really knowing how good he could've been.
  22. Lots of it is because Dubois has received serious hype over the last year or so. This was his biggest test to date.
  23. Why wouldn't he? He is still based in the area, proven at the level, for the right money I'm sure he would think about it. Managers aren't loyal to clubs like fans - sorry to burst your bubble. Whether Rovers have the money for him (and the signings he'd want) is a different question.
