  1. Always better to be safe than sorry, the NHS would rather you added an extra call to the call volume but got checked out rather than inadvertently spread it. Questionnaire is pretty good though.
  2. You'd assume it'd be a straightforward fight for AJ. Apparently it might go to purse bids with Top Rank looking to hold it in the US.
  3. I think one difference is that AJ is a huge brand and would have PR advice about how to handle a loss to preserve his image. I'm not convinced the rematch happens, Wilder sounds deluded and I think possibly concussed. He hasn't said anything publicly and seems to have gone into hiding. Very out of character. He's probably not thinking straight - the costume excuse is genuinely unbelievable.
  4. Easy to say in hindsight, but perhaps that test against Wallin was the best thing that could have happened to Fury. Despite the injury he was relatively comfortable in that fight, but showed to him that he needed to be heavier and perhaps have a bit more experience in his team. Although he's done a great job getting him in shape, I think given his age and experience it probably was a bit difficult for Fury to truly listen to Davison's advice. Whether subconsciously or not. He clearly has a lot of respect for the Steward family and the Kronk gym. He's referenced it so many times in his career. Add to that Andy Lee being part of the setup. I can see why he changed it up. Was completely vindicated in the end - showed he needs to fight at a higher weight (although in truth he was closer to 19.2 than 19.7), alter his style and make adjustments.
  5. I think Fury was just too good last night. AJ vs Wilder is quite interesting because AJ isn't the slick boxer Tyson is. I'd favour AJ against Wilder.. definitely after last night.. but Wilder is so explosive, powerful and unpredictable. Tyson Fury just had a perfect game plan which he executed brilliantly.
  6. I want to see Fury vs AJ but would genuinely be intrigued to see Wilder vs AJ. Stylistically could be fantastic but is obviously a high risk fight for Joshua. I know boxing politics is never this simple and obviously Joshua is fighting Pulev next.. but if I could have a fantasy schedule for the rest of the year I'd want to see Fury and Whyte fight as Whyte deserves his mandatory shot and then AJ vs Wilder in the summer. Assuming they both win, AJ vs Fury in December.
  7. Really looking forward to this. Most nervous/excited I’ve been about a fight in ages. Really really hope Fury pulls it off.
  8. Completely silly if people rule Wilder out. I think the smart money is probably Wilder by KO. Surely that's the most likely outcome. Fury has to be switched on for 2160 seconds. Really really hope he pulls it off though. He's more than capable, clearly the better boxer, now spent a year doing boxing training rather than slimming down. I don't know how much realistically Wilder can improve whereas in that time Fury has got himself completely match fit. Should be intriguing.
  9. Yep, I heard their camp has been incredibly secretive. I listened to Bunce and Costello's podcast - he's left no stone unturned with the new training setup, new nutritionist, masseuse, no diet cokes, limited media. There's the sort of 1% marginal gains that could make the difference but Wilder is so devastating. I think the most likely outcome is Fury winning comfortably for 8 rounds plus and then getting caught. I wouldn't rule out a flash KO early in the fight too. Wilder has a bit of form for this. I would never write off Fury though, if anyone can pull it out the bag it's him. Backing him all the way, would be amazing if he wins. Just hope they try and make the AJ fight eventually.
  10. Looking forward to Fury vs Wilder. I'm a huge Fury fan, he's easily my favourite top HW so I'd love to him win. Unfortunately I think Wilder will win by KO. Then again, Fury really raises or lowers his game to his opponent - much like Billy Joe Saunders - so it's foolish to write him off. I just think Wilder is dangerous for the entire fight and I think Fury will get caught with something. Really really hope I'm wrong and Fury wins.
  11. A few people think Ruiz might have been holding weights to make himself heavier at the weigh in. All a ploy to get Joshua to underestimate him again. I honestly have no idea how I think this is going to play out. I quite like Ruiz and don't like Joshua so kind of hope Ruiz wins again.. then again, having all the belts with Al Haymon via Ruiz and Wilder isn't great for the division. Good fight and also a decent undercard too.
  12. Caught most of the boxing last night from Selby-Burns onwards. Good card overall. By and large good and fair results aside from the one card in Taylor/Prograis. Very competitive fight and perhaps in the USA the result would've been reversed but overall felt fair. Enjoyed Chisora vs Price. Good to see Chisora winning - he's putting together some decent results and probably isn't far off a big fight. It's good for the sport because it helps show more casual boxing fans that the '0' isn't the be all and end all. I see Chisora wants Usyk next. Pretty good fight for Chisora because his reputation wouldn't be tarnished by a defeat really. Looking forward to Joshua/Ruiz in a few weeks.
  13. Not tonight. I like him and rate him but it's not very interesting viewing to see him against random journeymen. At least he took the Gorman fight, on paper it should have been fairly close but on the night Dubois showed the levels between the two. I'd really like to see Dubois take on Joyce - sick of Joyce's prat of a manager Sam Jones harping on, think Dubois could beat Joyce too.
  14. Thank you love his videos, amazing breakdown. Loma is a one off and it'll be a treat to watch him in the UK. Almost went to the fight this weekend but tickets sold out far quicker than I anticipated! Decent undercard too Fury vs Povetkin is a great fight, credit to Hughie for taking it.
  15. Apparently Mayweather has a few money issues. He's got lots of money, but also likes spending it at an unsustainable rate. Add to that a gambling habit. Wouldn't be surprised if he's broke within 10 years and he'll be too old to fight by then.
  16. Scott Murray isn't posting as Bristol City football club though. That's the obvious difference here. For what it's worth, he's the only staff member that can genuinely get away with it.
  17. Just me or has this thing about Rovers away support been absolutely run into the ground?
  18. His opponent on Saturday is definitely a step up, but should still be relatively easy for him. Fury seems to raise or lower his game based on his opponent - always has done. Obviously the Vlad performance, but also the way he dominated Chisora before that, show that he can raise his game when necessary. Fighting bad opponents like Seferi doesn't really help Fury, BJS is the same, he's often struggled against poor opponents. The trainer Ben Davison says that because they're both very talented, they get complacent. A dangerous opponent like Wilder would bring out the best of him. I agree his chances of winning would be far higher with P.Fury in his corner though.
  19. From what I've read - it's happening. Would make them look absolutely ridiculous to do this big show of criticising Hearn and Joshua for not getting the Wilder fight made and then let it fizzle out. It's one of two things I think - either Fury wants to give it a go, thinks he has a reasonable chance but if he loses then it's a cash out.. OR he knows he's back to what he was in 2015 and knows he can beat Wilder. If Fury is back on form, and stays clear of Wilder's big shots - I think he'll win fairly easily. He's undoubtedly a far better boxer, it's just Wilders phenomenal power and the question as to whether Fury does actually still have 'it' after the layoff.
  20. It probably isn’t, but feasibly that lineup could be a 433 - O’Dowda or Paterson, Brownhill and Pack central - Eliasson, O’Dowda or Paterson wide. Weimann as centre forward. More likely a 4411/451 though I think. Paterson playing behind Weimann with Eliasson and O’Dowda wide. Might suit Paterson playing there.
  21. I can't really see what he can do to make it a worthy PPV... I guess he'll get Okolie on there again, that Ukrainian chap he's signed, a couple more NXTGEN guys like Cheeseman? Can't really think of any others unless he pulls some bigger names from the US as part of that big money deal he's done.
