I hope we get to see Conway and Semenyo with Weimann behind.

Wells and Martin do a decent job but they're not the future of this club and I think our young players can cause problems for any Championship defence.

Absolutely agree Conway won't be here too long he will get picked off by a bigger club he has it all for the modern game. I also think those 3 will make our midfielders life far easier than they had last season which takes pressure off the back 3 so it all knocks on through the team.

I think today just showed where we are and whilst I do hope the best for the team we just don't have enough depth on the bench but we are a lot closer then last season.  I think a lot comes down to our 3 cb's and central midfield during the latter part of games. I love our attacking play and seeing Conway link a fair few times with Semenyo is exciting!

We possibly could sign Bamba so that would help the depth but otherwise it seems our hands are tied. On the note of cb's does anyone know if it was injury related why Klose wasn't on the bench? As this physical game would of been right up his street.

Klose is our best centre back end of,shoeing naismith into there is wrong, I think pearson wants him in and puts him in middle cos he gets caught for pace down the side.i also think he is picking players he wants in rather than the best for the position. I think he will pick James as soon as he can when I believe naismith should be doing the James role.with the running we now have up front I believe naismith would have a field day in midfield we have the players to do the chasing in massengo Williams etc so for me if fit Klose everyone.

Part of our form has coincided with Naismith having the time at the back to pick that pass. That’s what he was brought in for. He doesn’t get that time in midfield.

Well he has cost us I think 3 or 4 points so far and we are not far into the season he is quality but not at centre back that's only my opinion.

I'm hoping Massengo off at half time was a precaution and with Williams not being risked two games in 3/4 days, we'll have a midfield of Scott and Massengo v Huddersfield. Sykes back at RWB.

Weimann back in AMC with Wells and Conway up front and then Semenyo to come on again with 30/35 mins to go.

I'd be very interested to see Naismith in a central midfield role where his lack of pace and height may not be exploited and we can use his passing ability and driving runs further forward without the fear of him losing it and having no cover. The way he plays reverse passes and threads balls through is great at the moment, but currently it's to the RWB/LWB on the half way line, or into Williams and/or Massengo. I'd love to see the balls into Semenyo and Conway for them to turn and run at defences.

Klose can come in the middle and also add in some extra height which is massively needed.

Been saying for a while now that naismith should he pushed into midfield where he can use his vision and passing to greatest effect, he is not quick enough to recover as last man.klose is nailed on as centre back as he reads the position perfectly abd and does not try risky passing.

No one can argue that their equaliser was a monumental **** up , feeling even worse due to the timing of it

    But for weeks we’ve had

When we are leading why can’t we keep the ball’

if I was coaching I’d be saying

Where’s your next pass , Are you being closed down and in danger of losing possession or are your option(s) for the pass in similar peril’

Thats the time to hit the channel IMHO

    King kept possession

It appears, to me at least  Naysmith is the one who’s made the bad decision

I’m not sure knocking it into the channel is his first thought

His instinct to play / keep possession will benefit us , but will cost us again , they arn’t robots ;(Though you’d hope & expect them to learn / improve)

Naismiths instincts will benefit us greatly but not as a centre back he takes a lot of risks with his passing and has got away with a few very close calls in a few games as well as the ones he didn't get away with, move him into midfield not leave him as last man he will get caught a lot more for sure and doesn't have the pace to recover. Apart from that he is quality in the right position.

    He’s not.

I missed the opening 35 minutes today….and the sun / brightness made watching the second half on Robinstv not easy, so not a game I can readily analyse.

Where / who did Madine peel onto, Vyner or Naismith…or straight down the middle (or even all three)?

But he is picked as our main centre back .it should be klose in that position who made us far better there when he arrived.

This, ⬆️⬆️⬆️ Corbeanu had all the momentum.  Terrible pass from Naismith.

I just dont see naismith as a ball winning centre half at all. Maybe it's me but he is a great passer and I see him as a deep lying midfield player as pack was he can win balls in front defence like pack did really well and play from there.i would pick him there.

I want my CB to defend firstly. Especially when holding a narrow lead.

Naismith is a quality player but I have been uncomfortable with him as last man and central defender .for me it would be far better sitting him in front of back 3 and put klose in middle,  naismith has cost at least 2 goals so far being too casual.also not quick enough if a ball is lifted over him.

Goes to show just how professional he is.  His desire to get a run of games in the 23's was commendable.  And whilst playing there presumably built a good partnership with Young TC and jeez has it shown this past week.  They are on such a good wavelength together.  You look at it and when Semenyo is back it certainly isn't going to be easy for him to get past these two if they continue in this vein.

Knew Tommy would get man of the match, but I too thought Nahki was (just) more deserving.  Fantastic from him and long may it continue.

Agree semenyo is a bit of a wild card not as controlled in his game as Wells but more of a hand grenade going to be a great problem for the boss.

Wells looks bang in form at the moment - to be fair he hasn’t always looked as sharp as he does at the moment - but if he keeps it up he’ll be keeping his place in the team I’m sure. He’s always been a great finisher and made good runs but I’ve even more impressed with his passing and his overall sharpness in the last couple of games.

Absolutely he deserved and should have had a tap in ,it's those things for a striker that they thrive on such a shame he didn't get the goal ge should have had.

Been here 2.5 years and barely ever been played in his correct position! Been brilliant last two games… I like Martin but the energy offered by NW upfront is not comparable!

His and Conway movements are the reason we have come on in last couple of games, with Weimann also moving we have options for our midfield and with  naismiths passing ability it completely changes how we can play, don't dislike Martin but he really is not a starter for the squad we have, great last 15 min sub .we look lightweight in midfield but with movement in front of them they are able to just put it into areas and front 3 make bad passes into good ones.conway gets across defenders in front of them and behind them creating openings. He will probably be gone next Summer.

That would be my team if James and Williams aren’t fit. Naismith has played defensive midfield before

That is getting close to what I would go for. I feel nasmith would be better sat in front of defence  ,he is not quick and gets caught out with ball over top. He is a great passer and could win headers like pack could in deep midfield.

Just a little note ; in two of the past three games Weimann has found himself on the right hand side of the box and volleyed home two magnificent goals.
Yesterday, he found himself in exactly the same position and put it in row Z .

    Small margins.

Up till this season that was his normal finish having a lucky season, he wont get anywhere near this total again.

Also for us to be a really organised tough side to over run but we can ad today showed easily be turned over without forest getting out of first gear ..that is the opposite to what I expected

Yes he has not got a handle on his own system abd set up after around a year,it is worrying me for the first time so far into his programme, we can all see other teams system against us but we just don't have one our self, we rely on the bounce of the ball and getting lucky which is not a systen

I was expecting an organised side and set way of play but it seems game to game and constant formation changes before and during games ,I thought pearson would have a certain format but he seems uncertain which I didn't expect and by the way I would have picked him ax the man to sort it but in all honesty a top guy is struggling.

Agree with most of this but feel he isn't /hasn't got the "most" out of our squad. It is not as bad as many conveniently make it out to be.

Truth is its amazing we have got to 40 points with the awful performances we have put up with but I fear pearson has picked the hardest job he has ever had and behind the scenes he is having to sort problems as well, no excuse he is a team and system manager and this side of it is proving difficult to sort. I think we all need to suck it up until next season where he won't have any arguments if he gets funds it will then be I him .

But for the points deductions of others would not look so mid table. We have continued to have considerable injury issues, no improvement on what went on before NP. and this has hampered his ability to chose his best 11 and formation, so he gets some slack there.

Still find some of his comments, team selections and tactics strange at times. We often seem to lack detail and organisation.

Underwhelming for me but only one year into the three year project and hopefully the Summer recruitment will improve us.

Was expecting more from his appointment.

Yes for sure was expecting more he is a top manager proven but agree he has not sorted a system or defensive issues ,he has chosen to have a small squad to pick from but looking at available players after sensible clear out he isn't left with a top ten squad so actually not done so bad as we are practically safe,Summer will make fans mind up on whether he is the man or not.
