Big fan of Sykes. Not a particularly refined player , knocked a couple straight out of play, but is dynamic and always looking to get forwards.
Really valuable asset to have.

Easily the best we have played this season. Meaningless if we can't sort our finishing out though.

Sykes making a real difference already

Woosh .........
At least it's better than the Gower, don't bother going there , it's real rubbish.
Yes definitely everyone stay away. I'll take one for the team and go so nobody else has to.

Cancelling my Sunday plans!
Better see which pubs near me are open at 10am for this

Has anyone pointed out the clear correlation between the poor England performance and the absence of @shahanshahan and his BCFC flag? I am starting a campaign to have him returned to Oz at the teams expense.
Think you're on to something. No BCFC flag before or during the game - 2nd best for 120 minutes. BCFC flag shown before penalties and by far the better finishes (1st pen excluded).

Nice shot of a Bristol City flag there. Probably the best moment of the game so far

Strangely reassuring that England women seem to be exactly the same as England men.
It does feel eerily familiar doesn't it!

No idea what it was given for in the first place then? Not like anything "new" was revealed from the check.

Ah. So it WAS a deliberate act to create a shirt with a massive oversized collar and neck for the KnightFever promo.
Bit to subtle for me (and some others).
Thankfully, Stefan Kuntz has now retired from playing!
Would that be a big sleeve rather than big collar?

Fairly predictable start there

I think this feeling is more a testament to how City have progressed- make no mistake, while the fixtures don’t look “scary” it’s a tremendously tough league with a multitude of very strong teams.
Exactly. Now at a point where I don't dread playing Preston for example!

The Hyde Park on Mutley Plain is (or at least used) to be a good spot as well
Less so behind the scenes
Worked there for a couple of years and I saw some things... lets just say the 0* hygeine rating was well deserved

The Fortescue on Mutley Plain is easily the best pub in Plymouth IMHO and this story concurs.
It's in easy walking distance of the ground.

Fortescue is a fantastic pub. I DJ there occasionally, hopefully line it up with the city match and I'll slip some Wurzels in

Hi
A couple years ago I asked for some help with putting together a badge for a new football team I was running. Stoke Bar & Grill FC in Plymouth. This thread shows some absolute crackers that some very talented posters put together!
For the past two seasons we have used @Spike design and we just won our first league title winning 17 and drawing 1 of our last 18 games to secure the league title after losing our first 3 games in a 21 game season! The lads are really appreciative of this design and I'm a bit embarrassed to see there was no further communication from myself after the badges were created, in the future I think I'd like to keep everyone posted on how we are doing (if at all interested!)
That said, unfortunately we are being uprooted with the pub sadly about to close. However it now looks likely we will be moving under new sponsorship from another pub on the outskirts of Plymouth - The Odd Wheel in Wembury.
Another massive ask if any budding graphic designers are able to help... (I'm absolutely useless and design I've attempted are so amateur looking)
The remit:
Odd Wheel FC
Prime colours - red, black and white (but open to anything really)
The pubs branding is this - if anyone has any time to help it would be brilliant.
Shame i missed this post first time around, I used to live just up the road from stoke bar and grill. Was certainly an interesting place shame its closing!

I always remember this goal with his wrong foot, mainly because as good as it is, it wasn't the best goal of the game.
Sproule doing his best Messi impression is just incredible.
Love how Sproule absolutely refused to touch the ball with his left for the entire run!

Liam Kelly done alright since being the makeweight in the Korey Smith deal!!!
Easy to say with hindsight but I always thought he was decent for city and didn't get a proper shot here.
Mind you I wouldn't swap peak Korey Smith for a second!

Definitely need Naismith in midfield. Best passer of the ball at the club but doesn't quite have the positional discipline to play CB for me.
