Normally I'd say you are right, but look how things have changed in the last 2 years. I just got a feeling patience isn't as straight forward a plan as it was back then, not when others around you are making moves. will need a strong nerve for sure.

And this is a unique season… maybe not here but triggers will be pulled like crazy this weekend is my guess.

Neither HNM nor the club have progressed as I would have hoped during his time with us, a parting of ways looks to be the best option for all.

Will be telling should he come good somewhere else…

He doesn’t even resemble the player I saw make his debut.

one way or another he hasn’t progressed, who knows why, ability? Desire? Our inability to develop/get the best from him?

good luck to him wherever he turns up next.

  3. Given a 3 year contract just over 2 weeks ago but they’ve dropped into the bottom 3.

Shows how Championship clubs think. The threat of relegation is too big a risk for them.

We desperately need a win at the weekend to look like a lower-mid table club rather than a relegation threatened club.

I can’t see JL/SL not taking the same action as Wigan should we lose. Relegation is just too costly. Especially with their newly appointed and trusted Tech Director to help recruit a new manager and oversee the month long break/mini-pre-season.

Ideally we could do without the disruption so let’s hope we win on Saturday.

I think generally offloading big earners is just as important than making a big sale. Kalas, Massengo are two not playing and commanding a lot more than some of the current regular starters.

And Bentley. Shift one or more of those in January on free transfers and we might generate some of their wages to be ploughed into incoming free transfers.

  5. Gary O’Neil - soon to be released by Bournemouth if rumours are correct.

    or

what would people think of a Cotts comeback???

though I suppose if he’s added LJ also needs to be added to the list ??

And here we go . No concept on where we are . I’ve already seen  someone say get dyche in ? . O’Neil would leave Bournemouth to come to us would he ?

Because he’s not going to get the job there and likely to be unemployed. Unlike Dyche he needs to build a reputation and is an up and coming coach.
He’s a completely realistic target for a championship club with any desire to stay where they are.

He won’t walk but it wouldn’t be the worst idea for us to part ways with him after the Watford game if we lose badly. Only if we could bring someone in quickly, that way the new manager will have a kind of “pre season” during the tournament to sort things out.

Gary O’Neill isn’t getting the Bournemouth job… we could get him in quickly i’m sure.

Everytime I listen to Wilkins on BBCRB he comes on all guns blazing, then backtracks, contradicts himself, usually under challenge from Geoff.

Although GM looks like he’ll ride shotgun with RG for the next 3 months, I wonder if we will now go with a DoF model.  We will still need a CEO though, but might be one where some of the football side will be less onerous.  Since MA has gone and taken several with him, the non-football (pure football) side has been trimmed also.

Job for Steve Walsh? I’ve no idea where he is these days.
I’m  slightly bothered when it comes to key recruitment. SL seems to appoint people he already knows… that worked with RG but doesn’t always. Maybe a DoF recommended by NP would work!

They are Tranny fans. They didn't get much media exposure & once famously declined an appearance on The Tube as Tranmere were playing at home that evening (back when they played home matches on a Friday eve).

They also penned the majestic "She's got Dickie Davies eyes".

In the words of Saint and Greavsie “Friday night is Tranny night”!

Out of interest, why wouldn't Tinns potentially be interested in having a chat?

I wouldn't want to lose him and whilst FGR are a much smaller club this would definitely be a more senior role than he has here and if he wanted to deviate away from Academies and back to Senior Team decisions can see this being a very enticing opportunity.

There's the obvious caveat that Vince seems like quite a difficult (trying to be polite) character but depending on Tinns ambitions can potentially open up many doors for him should he go there and succeed.

I don't think it will happen, but would be amazed if Tinns didn't take a look if there's genuine interest,

I agree, hope it doesn’t happen but it is a bigger role, assuming the owner doesn’t meddle to much (which he might) this is a role heading up all things football at the club.

Anyone know what his relation with NP is like?  If Tinns really wants a wider role can it be achieved here?

Reads like the tone I see tomorrow's FBC Podcast will be taking when we record live at 10 tomorrow - why not join us; listen herehttps://www.podbean.com/lsw/voj3TKjf6G?lsid=JnKgdT2gI3G&invite_id=ic-JnKgdT2gI3G&invite_signature=d4e85b9c8bc4ebfd73bbd5b27c296ea7

    Should be an interesting listen.

    For my money 3 takeaways:

Time-wasting and refs incapable of dealing with it

Naismith and NP’s refusal to deal with it

Ridiculous substitutions and formation changes…. just as we’d got back into a game we should have been well out of.

It's a great story from Denmark / Hummel, but let's also be honest it's partly due to commercials.

Black out kits are very "in" right now, the all black shirt is very very nice. I love the City black out hoodie, also by Hummel.

Can see them shifting a lot of these kits, the story just adds to the attraction in my opinion.

It makes zero sense to me. If you do not want your brand to be associated with Qatar then either don’t supply kits at all or don’t have your logo/name/chevrons on there.
Regardless of the colour Hummel’s logo will be visible at the World Cup, in Qatar.

As an aside, it’s a really, really nice kit that would look great for us next season!
