  1. Maybe because the signings that he had in place to change that were taken away from him? I'm really surprised that this needs spelling out. Yes, we were dog**** in that period. Because Cotterill threw his toys out of the pram through not being backed after dragging us up by the bootstraps. And here we are again!
  2. I'm afraid that I am going to be both flippant and predictable here, Dave. My answer is yes, with a manager that Lansdown likes. Edit: Sorry. Question not asked of me. ?
  3. I don't think it will ever be close. Junior will eventually get it by default.
  4. Yeah right. So we are in exactly the same position financially as we were when NP took over. Whatever.
  5. I think you have called it in the italics, Dave.
  6. To be fair, it's not his fault. He hasn't got players that he can trust.
  7. Was gonna like that until the last seven words.
  8. Utter b*ll***s. The reality now is not the same as it was then. Jeez.
  9. I'd wager that it's a logical conclusion based on appropriate evidence.
  10. Only they know. The rest of us have a horrible idea.
  11. Wise words and indeed true. But I would suggest that if it is his decision, it would be down to more than his 'bucket list'.
  12. I think that we are indeed short of quality in the GK department, but not necessarily because of the understudies. I have never rated Max O'Leary. But the argument always used to be that he never had a run in the team. Well, now he has. And I still don't rate him. I don't think that he is awful, but I still believe that he is a League One keeper at best. Both of the understudies are unknown to most. But at least there are two of them.
  13. It's not actually a lack of ambition. It's putting himself in the best position to get out, while simultaneously freezing out the best manager we have had in a long time because he doesn't like his style. (Allegedly) ?
  14. He fights wolves. He doesn't get hangovers.
  15. I honestly wouldn't be able to believe that what we fear is going on actually is... ...if we hadn't seen it all before.
  16. Can we not just forget the bloke? At least until he is reappointed next season. Or before. ??????
  17. Because at the end of the season his contract is up. Far easier to dress it up as a mutual parting of ways. Which the majority will lap up
  18. Well that will be me done with the Lansdowns. And I will not respond to the obvious posts of "Bye then". It will be more "au revoir". In that event, I shall return when 'we' get 'our' club back.
