  1. My favourite manager in my lifetime of supporting City has always been Jordan, and even given what Cotterill did I never thought that would change. But this man is changing my mind big time. He hasn't achieved with the team what either of those two did, but he wasn't just brought in for that. And this is where I think we have to give credit to the Lansdowns. Finally. After a history of haphazard managerial appointments, and after the ultimate failure of 'project LJ' and getting hoodwinked (allegedly ?) by a man with the same name as the area of BS3, it seems that they finally worked on a vision for the club. A vision based upon the new training facility that could provide a base for everyone. First team, Academy, Women's team and all the alloted staff. And then, by luck or judgement, they hired a manager that could not only progress the team on the pitch, but could be the glue to bring all the above together. Of course, some of you more ITK can possibly shed light on or debunk this theory. All I know is that by judgement or happenstance, we are in a very good place and in very good hands.
  2. He might. But I hope not. Because I don't think that they will pay what we want. I actually think that they will try for Maddison if Rice goes.
  3. I know that you don't have quite the faith in the manager or his staff as some, which is fine. All opinions etc. But I think that they will be prepared for all eventualities, including Scott going late in the window. ?
  4. That'll be the barnet. He's gone back to his 'Leicester cut'.... ...and having been on the Foxes Talk forum and seen the clamour for his return, it doesn't sit easy with me. ?
  5. I trust in Nige and the recruitment team. If they think that a replacement is needed, I suspect that towards the end of the transfer window, that replacement will already be in the building.
  6. Neither can I, but I would hope that we wouldn't be accepting the sums that those three would be willing to pay.
  7. Oops. ? I'm blaming my phone. But it might have been the beer.
  8. I wish all football supporters would petition ITV to get this man in for next season to replace the (imo) awful presenters fronting the EFL highlights show.

    Top 3 up?

In fact, maybe you could have the 4 teams above relegation and the 4 teams below promotion in the division below playing semi finals, then have 2 play-off finals of higher v lower division. Losers in the higher division v winners in the lower. Loads more teams with something to play for. This is how much I get bored in the close season.

    Top 3 up?

Yes, but that was in the Eighties. You would hope there wouldn't be quite the same issue nowadays. I always liked the idea of a team having to 'defend' their higher division status. In fact, I think 3rd and 4th (4th and 5th in L2) vs the first two 'safe' teams in the higher division would be awesome.
  11. Hope not. Baldock, Webster... ...sick of it. He's better than ****ing Brighton.
  12. Back On The Juice - Dogs D'Amour.
  13. 'City' on a Bristol City forum means Bristol City.
  14. As an Evertonian (after City, obviously), I have to say that I think they are gone this time. They just have no decent strikers. You only have to note that any goal that they score is medium to long range from a defender or midfielder to know that they are in the s*** big time. When you are relying up front on a raw youngster, Nicky ****ing Maupay??? and praying for the return of someone that is more interested in wearing skirts on catwalks, then you have a serious problem.
  15. Wouldn't argue with that. Would love us to find a way for him to stay though. And without knowing, I think that Nige would too.
  16. Balanced post. I love Jay, and I thought he was awesome tonight. People saying that he was a bad signing need to have their computers or phones confiscated.
  17. F******g really??!! Out of the Chelsea trio he has been easily the best. I would have a word with yourself if I were you.
  18. Absolutely. To let him go without an offer would be criminal in my book. It's obvious that Nige likes him. He will in all likelihood get a better offer elsewhere, and that in itself should tell you that we should at least be offering him something.
  19. DAVEFEVS IN TALKING SENSE SHOCKER!! (not)
  20. Fair play. He was excellent today. Not because of his goal, because even Nicky Maupay wouldn't have missed that, but his all round play was superb. Hopefully he has finally arrived.
  21. Remember watching him, so he definitely did get on the pitch.
  22. So they were attacked by City fans and City fans stepped in to help. Yet all of our fans are the lowest life in league football. We have scum. So do they, in all likelihood.
  23. Knee injury. So basically a recurrence of what he's just come back from. So now we pray for the return of a central defender that's actually better in front of the back four. Not good.
  24. We have an excellent man manager. I genuinely think that if we lose 0-8 tonight it will not be good news for Cardiff.
