  1. HT fans are either moaning there's no striker on the pitch or else slagging on the Ref; https://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/119751/bristol-city-htafc?page=11
  2. For those unable to attend; http://www.fawanews.com/Bristol City vs Huddersfield.html
  3. Backwell is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of North Somerset and in 2011 had a population of 4,589.[1] The village lies about 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Bristol, south of the A370 to Weston-super-Mare.
  4. Reverting to the OP; Joe Jordan managed both clubs and amongst Huddersfield's famous fans, I'd include former PM Harold Wilson
  5. Allowing for inflation, some transfers from 100+ years ago might be in this list.
  6. Meanwhile; https://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/119751/bristol-city-htafc There's no chance we win as we can't score more than 1 and we aren't keeping a clean sheet. 2 or 3-1 Bristol. I don’t think we have the players capable of beating Bristol. Hoping for a point but I reckon it’ll be another pasting and another nail in the coffin. Its been obvious for some time, we cant play deep, we cant go gung ho forward but we are pretty decent at flooding from halfway to our 18 yard line and competing there, to break when we can.
  7. Correct; 'field won 2-1 on a December or January day and went on to win promotion to Div 1.
  8. I've just seen on SSN that the EFL will not deduct Leicester points this season, but they will be liable to a deduction next season.
  9. Meanwhile cricket's county championship is streaming on Youtube; Here's the link for Glos v Yorks. other games are available if you search.
  10. For those interested in Scottish stuff; at the foot of their League 2 and with four games remaining, five points separate the bottom four. Starnraer are currently bottom and would have to beat the winners of Highland League v Lowland League to retain their league status. Brechin are currently narrowly top of the Highland. In the Lowland; East Kilbride are six points clear at the top and have played two games less than the team in second. Given their worse weather "up there" do their groundsmen have a different way of maintaining decent playing surfaces?
  11. Following on from Prowed and Wembely etc; I'm surprised that red paint doesn't state Feak Andy. As for the next line, save paint and use the acronym; R.A.T.S.
  12. Ever pondered why you're single?
  13. http://www.fawanews.com/Bristol City vs Blackburn Rovers.html fawa are streaming City's game free as usual.
  14. If HW is redundant, that means he's Out of Contract. Would he be any good as centre forward?
  15. Then they really would be going down hill
  16. What is the current mood on gaschat please? If City lost 2-0 at home on the Saturday and the Tuesday, OTIB would be in meltdown. When I try accessing gaschat I'm met with; Website blocked due to trojan Website Blocked: gaschat.co.uk v2.6.24 | Trojan: 2.0.202404100808 Malwarebytes Browser Guard blocked this page because it may contain malicious activity. 17. Agreed. Does the club receive more from the EFL for finishing 7thrather than 17th?
  18. My favourite memory; playing Cardiff Dickie was marking tall John Toshack. Going for a high ball, Dickie outjumped JT and won applause for that simple header from the AG faithful. I met him once in Boots at Broadmead. Although not a match day, he was wearing his City jacket.
  19. For younger forum members; 7th April 2015; was in the middle of a 15 match streak winning ten and drawing five. That particular day City 3 - Swindon 0 or s I posted on FB at the time; What a great night's TV; Bristol City 3 - some dirty, fouling thugs 0. We are going up!
  20. Guess what; another forum with pessimists posting their fears. https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/36942-v-bristol-city-a-10042024/ 1; Bristol City are a menace. They are well capable of soundly beating any team in this division and equally can play like absolute dross. This could be an absolute chasing for us or a three point Ashton Gate benevolent evening and there is no predicting which it will be. 2; No real options to freshen things up will see us lose this 2-0 I reckon. 3; A tough one at Bristol, like yesterday it's very important we don't pick up early yellows and see out the first 15 minutes.
  21. The Sunderland forum has 55 pages on this thread. Amongst the snippets was this gem; " Got to give some credit to their goalkeeper. He was a right pain in the arse."
  22. Hopefully the last few games have added an extra 0 to his sale price.
