It will be for the gas next season. ?

You never see TF and Jasper Carrot together do you.

Thanks for that. I couldn't find it when looking earlier. Just thing in 5 - 6 weeks time, after the "first round proper", one of those clubs listed could well be the next toast of all in BS3!

My Mum reckons that Harry Dolman could have taught Bill Clinton a trick or two about women as he was very much "a ladies man". I never asked how she knew this.

Match Report: Soaked, second best but ultimately successful
22A replied to Olé's topic in Football Chat
View from the other side of the hill: my son and two grand sons were in the London Road end yesterday cheering on Posh. They came round for lunch today and i thought they had been to a different match. "City was rubbish yesterday", "There's no way you're gonna stay up playing like that" and that condescendingly, "That was a good result for you cuz not many teams come here and win". -

They all reckon there was a hand ball in the build up to City's winner. -
The scores are now in: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/fa-cup/fixtures-results Bath 5 - Frome 0, Chippenham 0 - Hastings 1, Folkestone 1 - Gloucester 0, Yate 3 - Redhill 0 and for you Robin101; Corinthian Casuals 1 - Wingate & Finchley 1. Now for Monday's draw; Bath v Yeovil perhaps?

Peterborough United away match day thread

OK, just got in from the game and my immediate thoughts. City looked too ponderous in their build up play on the right side. Possibly because if the weather, the ref let play continue when others may have stopped the game for an infringement. During that down pour in the 2nd half I feared the Ref would abandon the game. Must watch the goals on TV later as on the bus coming home, all the P'boro' fans assured me there was a definite handball involved in City's winner. -

Shopping in town this morning whilst wearing my City shirt, I met two other City fans. How many of us live up here? -
In the early 70's (OK, I know, fifty years ago), at Orient''s ground there was a bar serving straight onto the terracing behind one of the goals.

If you are there in the morning, their cooked breakfast is only £4.99!

Belfast Giants ice hockey team have started selling off match worn shirts via a lottery. They've named which two players' shirts will be available after tonight's game. Tickets are £2.00 for one, but on a sliding scale, £20.00 gets you forty tickets. These tickets are only available inside the ground, so the winner can say "I was there" when wearing the shirt. Reckon any football or rugby clubs will adopt this scheme?

OK, City can be watched on Sly 403 via the red button. Later though; same channel at 11.30 - City v Man U from 2017 and at 11.45 Leeds v City from 2018.

Fulham at home match-day thread

Now the dust has settled; https://www.friendsoffulham.com/forum/index.php?topic=82037.140 Once again, their players were poor and the ref was bad. No one ever says City played well and deserved a draw etc. -
Thanks for your advice everyone. I rang today and paid for a ticket and was then sent an email which I present at the turnstile on the day(!). I thought it would be "take it to the ticket office", but no, definitely "the turnstile on the day". I did ask how they knew my email address and was told I have a profile and am known as a member of this forum.

The version I remember from 74 / 75 era.

Leave a few unsold please. Then they'll be returned and those of us who live here can buy one on the day. I've tried to "Create an account" with Bristol Sport and whether I enter my home or mobile phone number, am greeted with "Landline is not valid".

With City away that day, non travelling fans could go to that or cheer on Yate.

I posted the other week that the majority of goals City have conceded this season have been due to crosses from the oppo's left, our right. -

Our win was simply down to Bentley (so they say). https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/forum/276639/why-do-opposition-keepers-turn-iworld-class-against-us/#8 -

Here's today's scores; https://www.livescore.bz/en-gb/football/league/84/results/ Longlevens is the latest score. great win for WsM; will they get Bath in the next round?
-
No, no. He means lead them to promotion next a=season back into the League! It's now mid September; another month and we can all sing "21 today" to remind them when they were last above City.
