  1. Are Cheltenham the new Gillingham? A few seasons back City played Gills quite a few times in one season. Now gas get to play Cheltenham the in the league, then meet in round one of the EFL cup and again in the EFL, sorry Papa John's Trophy. Group E Exeter Bristol Rovers Cheltenham Chelsea Will Wally have split loyalties when his beloved Chelsea turn up at the Mem?
  2. In Northern Ireland FTP is used as an insult meaning #### the Pope. Does FTG mean the same thing regarding the gas?
  3. Except Shrews had the sense to stop wearing B&W quarters over 100 years ago.
  4. On our local radio, Darren Fergusson reckons a big club will come in for JCH this Summer. Just to rub it in to the gas, how about City snapping him up?
  5. Here's City in Div 4 showing how it should be done In he 31st minute the commentator remarks that City's home attendance over the season "was over 190,000, the envy of some 3rd and 2nd division clubs"
  6. Their fans seem to think their B team will be the best option for today. This would rest players ahead of their play offs. https://griffinpark.org/index.php?threads/team-v-bristol-city.135273/
  7. And it was still better than the Mem....
  8. Beers such as Watney's Starlight were sold in rugby clubs and near steel works etc as the drinkers would be thirsty and could drink a lot without getting drunk. I was told that if Starlight was just slightly weaker, you would not need a licence to sell it!
  9. " I’m 100% convinced, supply a ground on the level of Ashton Gate, fund the team accordingly and we’d be averaging over 20,000 a season I’m sure." However, where would these extra spectators come from? If they already exist, they are hardly supports if they continue to stay away.
  10. Here at Peterborough many people such as myself have moved here, but continue to support their home town team. Arrived at work today and the boss, a Blackpool fan, pointed at me and declared "Bristol got relegated"! I rapidly informed him "That was the other lot".
  11. OK then, let's cheer the blue few up with a bright lively tune.
  12. Although speedway is one of my fonder memories of Eastville; the best was on my 20th birthday; 28 Dec 74
  13. 2' 33" in; that ground looks better and more suited than the Mem. 2' 46"; thousands locked out, but at the three minute mark, a fonder memory of Eastville.
  14. Not just them ? We get M'boro' and possibly Sunderland and/or Newcastle.
  15. Merriment not 100% though. Yes Cheltenham will probably be going up to replace one of them, but FGR & Exeter have lost form lately.
  16. Ready for another spell in League 2 next season.
  17. Depending on the cost, a local school children may produce imitations art half the price.
  18. How about the players walking out and leaving him there? ?
  19. In six months time (October) it's the 40th anniversary off when we came soooo close to losing City. Rovers tried getting their hands on Ashton Gate on the cheap and their fans have ever since claimed we should have had to form a new club starting at the bottom of the pyramid and work our way back up. I've just gone back over the league tables for the last forty seasons; in that time Rovers have finished above City on just EIGHT occasions. This fact alone suggests to me, if not proves, they can not consider themselves our equals or betters.
  20. Was Jon's mate with him?
  21. stonewall Peno etc etc etc So; Rovers don't get a pen they lose. Backs up one of our theories on this forum then.
  22. The season Notts County dropped out of the League there was nothing but glee and abuse on the Forest fans forum.
  23. They wish; St Albans City More like this level;
