Baldock has a good return it's more worrying that we need to score 3 to win a game

Baldock has had 38 shots on goal scoring 15 meaning 23 shots haven't gone in are you telling me 22 if those are 1 on 1?That is what I am thinking. But so many seem to take it as fact. I want to see the proof.
-
Why are people saying we don't need to strengthen at the back?
Have you not seen the defensive record? We are concluding 1 a game and can't defend set pieces
Don't concide and we don't lose
-
4 chances so far apparently but according to sky the bbc and the official club website we've only had 1 shot which was baldock's header, and we all know how well known he is for his aerial ability
-
Come on Monk, I'm not even sure it's up for debate that he's wasteful.
no he misses his fair share but people seem to blame him for our league position, I'm sure any club in the bottom half of League one would love him in their side, he has 10 league goals 5 less then the top scorer in the league and 2 less then jet
-
Baldock misses chances every single game that cost us
oh I forget our defense is rock solid and we have a strong midlfield that stops every one,
the fact we have to score 2 to win a game is a disgrace not 1 player missing ******* chances
-
Seen him miss plenty of chances live
I've seen plenty of strikers miss plenty of chances, take benteke first goal since September last night, baldock is our second top scorer, he always gives 100%,
you must of wanted Trundle and byfeild dead for the amount they missed
-
Had enough of Baldock constantly needing 4 chances a game to test the keeper. Decent example of a game where his missed chances will cost us.
nothing like slagging off a player with out actually watching him play, the "chances" may of been impossible for saurez for all we know
-
We shouldn't have let Pitman go.
if he stayed we prob wouldn't have jet
-
Sorry I didn't say my point well,
I mean I hope the price that we agreed for if we do want to sign him permanently isn't a silly amount
ahh with you, yes I agree with that,
-
My one concern with the potential permanent signing is that it may be expensive, posh paid over a million for him and won't want to make too much of a loss after just 2 seasons, that said, if he performs well enough then it could be worth it
if he doesn't we don't take the option up and costs us nothing,
Win Win and very good business from City for a change
-
That was harewood sold top as he can't of got this seasons
-
They hate Baldock because he is one of the first players to come out of Milton Keynes Dons
nope it was because he turned them down
-
From the Posh forum: "Who'd be a Bristol City fan. Front three Barnett, Baldock and JET. Is it possible to get three worse attitudes?"
Baldock?
they hate baldock because he turned them down to sign for ether us or West Ham,
-
How wide?
didn't know windass had come out of retirement

Absolutely and I'm not sure who was predicting he'd fail straight away. Most acknowledged he'll have a good start as most managers at a new club tend to. It's what he does 3 months into the job, 6 months into the job, a year into the job etc that will define whether he's a successful manager here.
quite a few were and they also thought Bryan Reid and Burns would play and thought we'd be lumping 90 yard balls for 90 minutes,
the complete op has happened so far

It depends how the 4-3-3 is played as three strikers can be played if the 4-3-3 is aimed at passing through the middle, the strikers would have to link up with each other and obviously be fairly close in position to do that. The other option could be finding a forward like JET who can naturally play on the wing and cross the ball into the box and play an out wide 4-3-3, how many strikers have you seen can cross the ball and are pretty pacey.
Joe Bryan and Wes Burns are the closest thing we have to developing wingers, although under SOD we did play JET on the wing and with a 4-3-3 if i remember. The ball ended up mostly in our own half and the defence cost us, 4-3-3 is a difficult position to defend if you give the ball away.
It can also be very effective, but you need to wide attacking players who have good postional awareness when we are on the back foot as they can drop into a 4-5-1 formation,
-
Shock horror, no wingers, why does that sound familiar?
because we currently don't have any wingers which is something SC is trying to rectify
-
It is possible baldock needs a rest. Been involved in almost every if not all our games this season.
not bad for some one who is "injury prone"
-
Lets give the guy a chance.. He hasnt played for us yet and he's already scored more goals at Ashton Gate this season than Taylor
he's scored more goals at AG then Taylor has scored for city
-
There's a big difference between thinking someone may fail vs wanting them to buddy.
This is just exactly the type of signing i hoped we wouldn't be making. Hoping the comments I found from the Posh fans are accurate ones and he's a hit here.
At 28 though I'd hope we think very carefully before offering him a long term deal even if he does do well.
dear oh dear........
he is a strong lad and a decent goal scorer at this level and its the presence we need up front on a wet Saturday afternoon when baldock and jet can't break down a defence
-
He could drop Wes.... that's what SOD would do, and wouldn't think twice about it either.
The Least agro decision is drop Wes and keep Taylor on the bench ..... job done.... of course i hope that doesn't happen
another interesting decision needs to be made re the fact that Fontaine is in the 18 man squad now, again would you drop Carey ?
if you try and name an 18 man squad for Saturday, then you will see what i mean about some tough decisions over the next few weeks.
two will miss out plus Brundle
Will it be Wes and Louis ? i really hope not
Burns won't miss out, don't be suprised to see taylor leave in the near future when barnet signs, wes is getting vital experiance from the bench and i can see that continuing,
Carey will miss out due to age imo as well
-
A 6ft 3in heaver up-front would be in keeping with SCs "Land of the Giants" reputation that he had at Cheltenham. If he also signed 6ft Myrie Williams then I assume he would not play Joe or Bobby very often. That would seem to run counter to at least one of the five pillars. I, for one, think that Bobby and Joe are two of our best players and the only local lads in the team. If we don't push these two talents then why bother with an academy?
complete tripe,
What about Wes Burns? he's coming off the bench quite a lot, and what sort of Target men do with have in the acadmey? because I don't think we have a single one,
We have no physical pressence up front and need one and this lad would fit the bill all be it only on loan

To blame a striker who is scoring 1 in 2 games for the postion we are in or for dropped point is frankly moronic
The problem is no bite in midfield and a poor centre back who god.......we........sod spent a shit load of money on
