  1. its just a ****king shirt, it has no baring on perfomances management transfers running of the club supporters cider we serve,

if you don't like it don't buy it its really that simple

  2. Yeh, £2 or £3 through the Juv turnstile to watch the likes of Newman, Walsh, Taylor etc. Feel spoilt now!

isn't that about £11 in todays money?

People only really remember the good times you don't get people banging on about the game on a tuesday night against Colechester when Lua Lua ripped us a new one and only 7777 turned up even though we were in the play-off postions, or the drab 0-0 draw agains bournmouth (a div 4 club then) that went to pens and mark stean blazed over the atyeo stand but a game we should of lost,

or the 800 0-0 draws with bury,

In 20 years time some of our current crop will be remember fondly and this season will not be mentioned much

  3. If I was a millionaire and thought I could walk straight into a similar position on similar pay I would.

Let's face it , if The AG8 had taken your view , we would not be here to have this conversation.

I'm playing devils advcate, the AG8 almost did that but the difference between 82 and now is footballers have no loyalty and have been led by Agents which is whats happening,

But the thing that really narks me as quite a few others (EBM to drop a name) is the Person trying to save portsmouth is the same man who "saved" them last time and is part of the reason for this latest mess,

Thats why I have little simpathy for the club, they deserve to be liquidated and every bit of punishment they get,

1982 we learnt our leason, Portsmouth have not and deserve to be put out of business just like Chester Acrington Stanley Gretna and all the other clubs that have gone to the wall in recent years,

  4. The whole club has been poorly run for years it's what you get for whoring yourself around to any Tom, Dick or Harry that have a few quid and it's not just Ben Haim. The club should have put in a relegation release clause which would have saved all this mess with their high earners. But at the same time some of those high earners should just tear up thier contracts and walk but they won't because the Pompey board stuipdly over paid these muppets and no-one else will match those silly wages and now they are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

    Why should they?

Your company is in trouble and they ask you to tear up your contract and leave for nothing would you? or would you as I suspect fight for every penny you are owed?

  5. But the prospective owner, and it's his partly his fault that they are in this mess, is getting a £15m parachute payment which could easily pay these players who have written contracts saying they are owed money. Instead he wants the money for himself rather than being prepared to give it to people like Tel Ben Haim who is actually owed it. Why is Tel Ben Haim the bad guy here?

He's not but people see him as a greedy footballer simply because he is on 36k a week,

the rules are their for all and according to the Football League football creditiors are to be paid in full which is what Tel Bian Hiem is, as are Bristol City football club,

Should we wave the right to the transfer fee we are owed for henderson and any money from his sale to West Ham as well?

  6. Tel Ben Haim is still waiting for 2.5m  with the money he has already got in his bank account and the shite Pompey are in you would of thought he would just walk and find another club. But no the greedy #### is holding on and would rather see the club go to the wall so long as he gets his money what a ####.

Its not that easy, behind closed doors the administraters have asked them to stay incase a club comes in and buys them so they can get some cash (see luke Varney)

In public the adminisators are saying its the players holding it all up because they want the contracts they signed at portsmouth (which pompy have to honour)

I wonder how much Mr Birch is taking out of the club a week for his administration duties I bet its close to 150k a week

  7. Having read many posts and articles on Pompey, the main problem is the parachute payments £15,000,000 still to come. Players are being asked to leave for a fraction of the money contracted, but the returning owner in waiting still wants his £19,000,000, but will only return with the high earners gone and the wage bill cut.

Asking a player to leave when he can see £15,000,000 coming in once the CVA is sorted, is a hard sell for anyone.

They had that early to keep the club afloat last season didn't they?

  8. Luton and Bournmouth spring to mind as well as leeds and rotherham, I don't think the extra 10 points they have isn't the end of it from the FL I expect another 20 to come off them if they survie if they don't its off to the toolstation or whatever the that regions league is called,

They won't start life in the conference it will be at least 7 lvls below that kuje AFC Wmbledon or FC United of Manchester

  9. What happens then, does another club come up from League Two (like what happened in Scotland) ie Cheltenham?

Or do they play with 23 teams and one less team goes down next season?

I'm not sure, I doubt another club will come up as the fixtures hae been produced and we are well into pre-season, Scotland knew what was coming we didn't see it with pompy as the administrater had announce that it was sold only for the FL to punish them again,

Somthing is not right down there

  10. The players aren't to blame as others have stated they have been offered contracts and those should be honored look at rangers, they had to form a newco and the players and staff who refused to tupe across are free agents, the same will happen at portsmouth, accept the bottom of our structure isn't sfl3 its way down about 12 tiers which where they should of been sent after the the second admin hit

  11. portsmouth are using the players as a scapegoat at the moment, telling the paper Ben haim 36k a week is killing the club is a breach of contract as it is and they are opening up themselfs to all sorts of legal trouble,

The sad thing is the fans, also you can't compare the two situation we actually had players that loved our club these are just more pampered millionaires football produce now a days

  12. Don't recall Basso shafting us. I thought he fell out with the Manager who then dropped him. After that who knows? Seemed that nobody was big enough to back down and make the peace and the City PR spin machine went in overdrive to paint Basso as the evil villain.

He waited until weale left before handing in a transfer request just before the start of the season, turning down a contract that his agent adviced him to sign making him the highest paid player in the clubs history (at the time) to chase a dream of playing in the prem which he never did ie shafting us

  13. But those at city, could have used their common sense and thought any of the following:

    a) 3 first team keepers is too many

    b) why would a 22 year old keeper want to be a no3

    c) why would he want to be behind a very poor keeper like gerken.

    d) why are we giving a 2 year contract to a league one keeper.

The reasons above would have all contributed to henderson leaving. It would have been a surprise if he had wanted to stay in all honesty!

But no, keef just could'nt make a decision - so he offered all 3 a new deal!

I know teflon made the mstake I'm pointing out the fact that it can't be pointed at the board they did everything in their power to keep both players yet are getting the blame what more could they do

I've always agreed with you gerken should never have got a contract the fact he was a panic buy after basso shafted us was an indecation of this

  14. If I was in the UK i would of course go to that WHU match. its not in my nature to boo an ex player or any player for that matter but i can understand why some people would at Maynard. Lets be quite clear here; the lad could very easily have come out and been honest and said he would like to test himself at a higher level and for that reason he did not think he would be signing a new contract... blah blah blah and all the nice stuff about us etc etc.. he didn't. he waffled, blagged, deferred, said nout, turned us around in riddles and kept everyone guessing knowing full well he was off and we, most of us anyway, thought about the same, probably. he had ample opportunity to put it to bed early on, mid way through the saga or nearer the end... he never did.

You will always have a mindless moronic few who will shout obscenities and throw things and abuse his family and that is plain wrong. But.. it could all have been avoided had he been grown up about it. And I don't care if some say he was advised by his 'agent' - inverted commas because he never behaved like a decent agent did he, not in my book. He wasn't grown up about it and will get flak from BCFC for it forever more. All i can say really therefore is, tough luck.

As for Henderson, Millen made a big mistake there imo, amongst the litany.

All in all though... you have to look upstairs for the real errors in losing out on the cash front with both of these players. its been said many times before and will be many times in the future, of that I have no doubt; CS is not a patch on SL as a chairman. Just my opinion however but there are enough pointers to that conclusion.

City had no indecation that henderson was leaving and offered him a contract he rejected it and f'd off on a free

City accpetted a 6 million pound bid from liecester and maynard turned them down and would of f'ed off on a free too but we accepted a bid from west ham what more can the board do chain them to the bloody post?

  15. It's hard to tell. All very well coming up with theories of previous seasons and how many points we predict the bottom 3 may get, but not all 3 teams can continue to lose every week.

Who's to say that one of them can't or won't go on a run and a bit of a mini revival?

5 more wins SHOULD just about be enough but it will be tight.

I think the nature of the comeback tuesday could inspire a little run we just need that little spark in the middle now

  16. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    Joke club joke board,

    Conferance beckons the blue few

I feel for penny tho he's been in the job five minutes and no time to sort out the mess....

wonder if he's in the same garden as trollop !
