Now we know why the gAss are begging their fans to sign up to the no pot to piss in scheme at £2 per week. They’re nicking all our scouts ?

Yes because there is more money being invested into a YTS scheme then a level 2 academy that may well because a level 1 in the future due to the multi millions being invested,

They really are thick as pig shit

And legally we can just take any decent youth from them for peanuts due to where our academy sits in the food chain and there is not a thing they can do about it

What would Danny Baker know about Bristol Rovers? And, more to the point, why would I care?

He is a Millwall-supporting loudmouth who was sacked by the BBC for tweeting extraordinarily racist material.

What does a bristol rovers know about the inner workings of Bristol City and more to the point why are you so obsessed,

Envy is a sin you know

The problem with your concern about 'crimes against women' in the ME is that it is entirely selective. People use it as a stick to beat the region with, and this is shown by the fact that they don't even bother to consult the women of the region on their 'oppression'. The hijab is an obvious example of this - westerners look at this as a form of oppression whereas many Muslim women view as an expression of their freedom of choice and not, by definition, as a form of 'oppression'.

Selective, a bit like you and your fellow gasheads with the truth,

Wasn't it Danny Baker who wrote (not that many of your dwindling fan base can read)

Bristol rovers fans are compulsive liars and that Bristol rovers were the most pointless club in the football league (that's and achiement since you've only been a league club for 8 years)

    Robbo mate, stop talking nonsense.

You’re referring there to Craig (Ken) Logan, the one of Bros who wasn’t one of the Goss twins - and played bass. The actual drummer was Luke Goss, who went on to a moderately successful film career, but wasn’t a music manager.

Weve had enough nonsense on this thread without you adding to it.

Didn't they go on to open a store chain called Moss Bros?

My brother has had issues setting up a Bristol City/Bristol Sport account and I’ve just been told that the servers have been down since last Friday and they cannot create new accounts or make changes to existing accounts. They said they don’t know when it will be back up. This will affect people trying to transfer season tickets as you need to be a ‘friend’ in order to do so, and this cannot be updated until server back up. For any requests relating to ticket transfer you will need to contact supporter services.

As a frequenter of OTIB I’m surprised nobody else has had issues?

It's worked fine for me just now,

Where have you heard the servers are down?

Lots of wonderful figures and financial reasoning explained above.

But what worries me is are we allowing football to be run by accountants ?

Very very worrying if we have stopped so low.

Footballs been run by accountants since theblat 90's it's not a new thing,

Incidentally, the real drummer in Bros, who wrote all the songs, is now a multi-millionaire manager for artistes like Anastacia, Beverley Knight and Imelda May and his music firm has offices in London and Los Angeles. Before that he ran RCA records.

Davidson was in a number of undistinguished bands in the 80s [as was I], was a tour keyboard player for the Pet Shop Boys and Bros thanks to a connection with the late Tom Watkins, manager of both groups, before setting up Trade-It when he was in his late 20s and having a highly successful business career. He's still only 60.

The idea that because you can play keyboards well is some source of shame could only occur to a desperate and deluded 15er. Just like thinking having a nice watch means you must be one of the world's wealthiest men.

Did he know any West end girls?

And then straight back down again after finishing rock bottom of the championship.

But we have gone off track - the essential point is that you were 'tinpot' relatively recently. In 1982, when you almost went bust because you could not manage your financial affairs (say what you like about us, we pay our creditors and don't rely on charity from our players), and when the drummer of Bros was your chairman.

But it was certainly more fun, wasn't it? Professionalism has certainly come with a price for you.

We've won more cups since 82 then you have in your entire existence

Its funny - when I hear you lot to us as 'tinpot', I only have to think back just over two decades, when the bassist/drummer of Bros (sorry, genuinely can't remember/care), was your chairman. For those less senior, Bros have a strong claim to be one of the worst UK bands of all time, and I was genuinely embarrassed for your club and its fanbase. At the time we were being run by the Dunfords - a solid, decent and unstated chairmanship.

Then you met Steve Lansdown, a leading practitioner of Anglo-Saxon vulture capitalism, and the rest is history.

The last 2 decades has been under Steve lansdown 2 decades is 20 years

Then again maths isn't a gasheads strong point

Is the Championship much better? Luton and Sheffield United are bang average sides who got promoted last season.

L1 includes Bolton and Barnsley, two clubs who have played in the PL within living memory, unlike BCFC.

And as for being over budget...planks and splinters come to mind.

Yes it's much better then again a non league club over.achieving wouldn't know that

There can't be many better run clubs than them. They paid 4.5M for Moises Caicedo and sold him for 115M. Along with big profits made on Cucurella, Macallister, Ben White etc. Probably all paid for the new Stadium.

And this is the point some posters refuse to acknowledge,

Selling players for offers too good to turn down will always happen, the key is sucession planning

And that's what I see the club putting in place, hence the production line from the academy in recent years

I can tell from the change in font size that you had to copy and paste the word 'exaggeration' because you didn't know how to spell it.

That is why I am unsurprised you are defending someone who admitted giving a man and young children 'dogs abuse'.

Im not defending him and i cant spell that word,

peoples inabilty to spell has no baring on it
