What an absolutely shit clean up job this is @phantom
The original thread was enquiring about NP's health. It's now been turned into something completely different and all the original hijackers posts have been left in.
Still, let's all forget about what happened and move on eh...
Need a break.

Sadly? I don't think we, as fans, should forget the way the sacking was handled. Unless you're happy being lied to of course.

Got to say Dave that the poor results under Pearson are very clear facts, and not at all my subjective opinion. What was it, second lowest percentage of any City manager? When he was sacked we’d won 3 league matches from 10 this season (30%); I believe that Manning’s record is 9 from 23, so just under 40% win percentage.
As far as I can see almost nothing I’ve said was particularly subjective, but anything not praising Pearson to the hilt seems to be met with a flurry of face palms and other negative emojis. Oddly enough polarisation was what I was trying to avoid, but it doesn’t seem possible to have any sensible discussion on this site any more, sadly.
If you’re going with a spell of 10 league games for NP, Manning is currently 2 from 10.
Manning is 7 wins from 23, overall win % 30.43. Pearson was 32.06.

Nothing excites me to be honest pre or post Pearson, just wish people would get behind the new manager, i'm as frustrated as the next man with our constant inconsistency but i think it's crazy calling for his head after 3 months particularly when his record this season is no worse than NP's
It is, you mean no better

What gets me is everyone can point there anger at Tinman, SL , JL , manning or Pearson etc etc……. Meanwhile the players get away absolutely no mention
That’s because there isn’t a lot wrong with this group. A couple not quite up to the level, but they’re honest and generally give 100%.
Confusion seems to be the biggest problem affecting them at the moment.

As it was apparently Tinnion who queried why Pearson was picking him instead of giving another Academy player a chance I’d say this is not going to happen even if we do bite the bullet with Manning at any point.
Talking of not giving academy players a chance, I wonder what Tinnion thinks of Manning leaving an empty space on the bench yesterday?

I’ve said multiple times I am appreciative of how Pearson stabilised us, but my word he isn’t the messiah as people have made out. He never got us above 14th and we’re currently 12th, if Pearson had a similar run to Manning people would be begging for a new contract
He never got us above 14th…
We were 8th after beating Swansea so… more nonsense

NP told JL he had no ambition, and there was no point him being there if he wasn't willing to back him.
If that’s true, it just makes me like NP even more. He could see right through that charlatan.

He was doing well there by all accounts, until he lost his best players (Twine & co)
Who do you think would have been a better choice?
Well he'll lose his best players here too, so that's something to look forward to.

The journalist they had on was talking about their owner, and he ( the journalist) commented that what fans want from an owner is that they leave the club in a better situation than it was when they took it on.
Given all the negativity surrounding SL and recent events, allied to many fans apparently wanting SL to sell the club and make way for a new owner it got me thinking.
If SL sold up tomorrow do you think that he would be leaving the club in a better situation than when he became the owner?
Unquestionably. Better facilities and continued second tier football show that.
I think the problem for the Lansdowns is their continued inability to find the right formula. Flip flopping all over the place and getting nowhere fast.
He'd leave us in a better place, but it could have been so much better if he'd have stuck to a plan.

I think Nige used to pretty much always do a club interview before the oress conference. But with Manning it has rarely been done.
That's because Nige had loads of time on his hands, what with never being " out on the grass"....
I'm joking of course.

Pretty sure too that Eliasson was gone well before Pearson arrived?
Yep he was, as I said, selective memory. Walsh, Williams and Baker made 8 appearances between then that season.

I think the only positions I'd take Manning's players would be RB & CM otherwise I'd take the options Pearson inherited. I'd say now our squad looks better rounded but I think there was better quality in the squad Pearson inherited.
Mawson, Baker, Dasilva and Weimann were all injured for the majority of the season Pearson took over.
Fam and Nagy were looking for a way out and we were playing Bakinson, Taylor Moore, Tommy Rowe and Bakinson far more than we should have been.
Semenyo was a raw kid and Alex Scott was nowhere near the first team.
All about opinions, but your selective memory won’t convince me that we were in a better place then.
