Anyone know of one?
I can’t prove anything obviously, but I would say an experienced championship manager would have got us 3 points at QPR and another 3 points today.
The board seeing that the grass isn’t always greener!
We’ve got an experienced manager. He experienced a good hiding at Swansea. He’s basically the main man at the football club now, and has brought in an ‘on the grass’ coach to do what he couldn’t.
This won’t end well.

100% we don’t lose that game under Nige. JL And Tinnion have a lot to answer for in my opinion. I reckon we’ll have a different coach this time next year

This must be why it took so long to make an appointment.
They’d agreed terms with Taylor weeks ago but he had to go through an intense programme of indoctrination and a crash course of ‘gas logic’.
It’s the only explanation as the bloke was always a very reasonable guy previously.Certainly looks like a crash course in 'gas logic'.
Haven't played above tier 3 for 30 years, including one in 'division 5'
Knocked out of the FA Trophy (!) at home to Bath City
Haven't averaged attendances in 5 figures since 1976
Temporary grounds, tents and 'stands'
Record signing was made in 1992
But,yeah, as big as any club in the city.

Martin refusing Mangan’s hand when he was subbed as well? Interesting.
Marquis arguing with fan at ft. All getting a bit toxic now and only the owners to blame with their non replacement strategy
All is not well at Pillar Park.

I bet in those 50 years of watching City you've not seen many first 40 mins like that!
I think you're missing the point. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of others.
In what respect? Playing poor but being in front? Seen it many a time.
Look , I’m as gutted at Nige getting sacked as anyone (not as vociferous as you mind), but we move on. If I leave Ashton Gate with a win in the pocket, it’s happy days.

So play badly vs Coventry and win = bad.
Play badly Vs Boro and win = good.
Very bizarre.
Get over yourself sunshine. I’ll have been watching City for 50 years next season. I don’t give a shit who the manager is, as long as we win

Rovers never been in top flight tho, and spent a lot of time in the third and fourth tiers, so I'd have thought the 92 would be tricky to complete. The likes of Everton and Arsenal, for example, unless they had them in the cups.
It’s probably not as hard as you think, when you consider the clubs who have played at more than one ground.
I’ve seen City at places like Walsall, Brighton, Sunderland, Cardiff, Rotherham, Swansea and of course roverzzz, on more than one ground for each away game. Bound to be more, and as a gAsshole he’d have been to a good few non league teams I’d imagine.

The same can be said for us in all fairness but even with the large followings we’ve had at AG this season it still leaves us with 19/20k City fans in attendance on average.
Remarkable support when you consider we’ve never achieved anything and spend most of our time mid-table or below. Our away average will be over 2k after the Southampton game.
Rovers have no excuses for not selling out all available home tickets for every game at the Mem.
Au contraire. They have plenty of exuses, they shouldn't have but they do...

The irony of course being, that this is in fact, a Nigel Pearson team.
And given we know that there was no lack of effort, mainly because all these players were NP signings, and are therefore good characters who wouldn’t just down tools, and that we know Liam Manning didn’t try to change much at all, choosing to work on the out if possession stuff due to lack of time, is it not reasonable to think that even with NP in charge, we may have seen the same outcome?
Possibly. But the staring XI would have been different.

The players brought in by City’s recent transfer policy are mainly league one standard, bought on the hope they can develop into top six Championship players. Nigel wasn’t given the budget (transfer fees and salary) to get anything better. If LM has to operate under the same constraints the results will be broadly the same. If he suddenly has a bigger budget in the summer, and better quality players arrive, it will be an admission that the current strategy was wrong
I agree, if the budget is increased it’s just further proof that NP has been shafted, but we all know that anyway.
I just think 4 players OOC gives him the opportunity to remould the midfield unit. Not necessarily with better quality or more expensive players, just a different type.
The proof of the board tucking up Nige will be in January for me. If LM is allowed to bring in 3 or 4, then it further exposes the lies about budget’s being maxed out, and we’ll be in another flip flop in strategy from from the Lansdowns.
They’ve failed to read the room on this managerial change and are now under massive scrutiny.

It’s highly relevant. We looked at how he played there and liked it.
Yes it’s a step up in quality in this division. The players at his disposal at Oxford (the midfield trio at least) are high end League 1 players, nay, even championship level players.
The key difference here is that the central midfield trio are not high end players in this division. Therefore we will struggle to impose OUR game onto them.
So Oxford is very relevant, because the manager has been recruited because of his style he played there. But I’m afraid he will have quickly learned today that JL and BT have not built a promotion challenging squad.
This is no dig at Manning. I actually liked his style of play and I want him to succeed here. But he’s gonna need a number of replacements to do so.
I’d imagine he’ll completely revamp the midfield in the summer. Weimann, King, James and Williams all OOC I believe. Think he’ll let all of them go and rebuild.

the colour Blue doesnt appear on the cross of St George and I've never found the reason why it remains as part of Englands Football kit
It's because is it's the colours of the FA. The lions are blue, hence the blue in the kit.
Holland and Italy to name just 2 wear kits that don't reflect their countries flags. although they have historical meaning.

Well, I wasn't expecting a win before Manning and I certainly don't expect a win now, he's only been here a couple of days and had hardly any time with the players. I do expect a close game which could go either way.
You must be one of the few then, including the board. They must have fancied NP to pick up 6 points, then they were stuffed.
On another note, it'll be interesting to see how Manning and Hogg conduct themselves on the touchline, they both seem to be the shouty types, not had that for while. Could be wrong..
LM said in his press conference he's not that type. Something about how can you expect players to keep discipline if you're losing your shit* on the touchline.
*Paraphrased.
