I'm just going by Flash scores.

I han't even considered their babestation subscription.

That’s the capacity of the Mem…according to Flash scores. It does however appear they’ve just made up the attendance as well (9300) as Bristol Rovers themselves posted the 7800 figure earlier.

Best to just ignore Flash scores to be honest.

Last two home crowds 7855 & 7385, if they play a third one then in total they might approach what we’ll get on Tuesday alone.

    Tinpot.

As they are only too happy to point out when it comes to us, those figures are tickets sold. The number who actually bothered to show up will be lower…much lower knowing them.

Thank God they built that new stand that they assured us they needed…🤣

You will no doubt find this hard to understand BUT i am not jealous of your club and do not cast envious eyes across the City, the fans there are your typical 'poor' little rich kids, have everything but still not happy , your post sums it up' my so and so is bigger /better than your so and so,nah, nah,na,na na ! Pathetic,! you will never understand this but our season in the 5th tier was rewarding and enlightening, the dedication of the fans there was extraordinary! you will never understand it. you actual went bankrupt and ruined peoples lives , players included, ashamed .not you lot you hold a celebration to commemorate the event!! I am very happy with our new stand thank you, our Girls are rising through the ranks without any help from a big PR machine, we have a very decent training ground and facilities, yes you do well with transfers but that should tell you something, i.e. all your best players leave, there is a reason for that , any idea what? clutching at straws ,not me mate, you have your culture we have ours , you are welcome to yours, i will stick with ours if you don't mind.

Why shouldn’t we remember and celebrate the Ashton Gate 8 and others who helped save the club?

    Touchy bunch aren’t they…

    “5th tier” 🤣

The Man City fan said it best.

What an absolute crock of s**t.

They cherry pick our away attendances and try to take the piss when their meagre crowds are embarrassing. They bring it on themselves when they trot out such garbage as “City wouldn’t get as many as us at same level” or “If we had a ground the same size as Derby’s we’d fill it.”

They deserve all the scorn they get when it comes to their rubbish crowds.

Remove head from sphincter before committing fingers to keys in future.

I’ve run out of reactions but…well said.

Is that right? Didn’t know that

Our first season in Div 4 is the only season in the last 56 years where they’ve had higher average crowds. The following season with us still in Div 4 and them in Div 3 we averaged higher crowds than them

What they consistently fail to mention whenever they talk about our poor crowds in the early 80s is that their attendances were either just as bad, or worse than ours.

The latest example of ‘gas logic’ and obscure stats. A dangerous mix.

Apparently according to this ‘club legend’ you can measure good, better best by the biggest lowest attendance. Yes that’s correct. The biggest lowest attendance!
So, whilst referencing a nickname that in their heads means we are a 44 year old club, then goes on to show they are much better than us on ‘biggest lowest attendance’ for large swathes of a time that we apparently didn’t exist. However when we did exist then it would seem that we even beat them on this remarkable stat. I think the last straw may have been clutched.

    Just for reference.
Bcfc1982ltd sports dept. Have only had 1 season that bettered our 1954 best lowest gate.
Our 8078 lowest gate season was also better than 22 of 'their' seasons since 1961.
To be fair i have to admit their lowest gate figures since 2016 have been pretty good.

Ok, so Ive figured it out.

Their highest lowest gate is irrelevant because we’ve had a season with a higher lowest gate which beats all of their highest lowest gates including the highest lowest gate from 70 years ago.

Their lowest highest gate is lower than ours as is their lowest lowest gate.

Our highest highest gate is higher than theirs.

    Hope this helps.

So with absolutely no proof they have established that City’s true figure is way worse than rovers.
I do find it funny how they try at every topic around stadium and attendances to find some way to better us.

I had some Gas idiot trying to convince me last season that they knew “for a fact” that despite official attendances of 20k+ we rarely had over 11/12k in the ground.

Couldn’t back it up of course, absolute bullshitters. 🤣

It's a real stretch to get one over us.

TBF, they can't rely on highest attendance, highest average attendance or any other sensible stat .
So go for the highest, lowest attendance FFS

Yes, this will be a new way to gauge support in 2024.

Social Media will be flooded with videos about this. No more will clubs be ranked on average attendances, league positions, honours or stadium capacity…no!

From now on every club will be ranked by their highest lowest attendances but NOT their lowest highest attendances.

Use figures from 7 decades ago because that’ll be relevant.

Maybe use a percentage of something in relation to something else.

  9. If they’re going to start comparing attendance stats then the ones that really matter is that Rovers have only had a higher average attendance than us once in 56 years and they haven’t averaged over 10k since the mid 70s.

For a club who claim to have such massive, loyal support they certainly seem confused about the location of the ground on match day. 🤣

Next two games are really tough but then we start playing some of the teams in/around us…..we need a win quickly from a confidence perspective, more than anything.

I’m looking forward to seeing Twine and Sykes in the same team as those two should make a difference to us, creating and causing teams a lot of problems.

The team that I think could get dragged into trouble at the moment, is Swansea - next four games:-

    Hull A

    Leeds H

    Ipswich H

    Sunderland A

It’s the confidence bit I worry about, we don’t want to face those teams around us after demoralising defeats against the likes of Boro and Saints. Now I’m not saying that’s definitely going to happen just that it’s tough on the players with Forest away and a few injuries.

  12. How have we got from the Watford away performance to this thread in just over a month?

Call it wetting the bed if you want but yes, on current form we can absolutely get dragged into a relegation battle and what happens in the next 4 or 5 games will go some way to seeing if that will happen. Think Weds and Rotherham are in real trouble but could’ve done without QPR winning yesterday.

watched the game in front of about 6 Gasheads in the Duke who had come to watch us hopefully lose and well we certainly didn't disappoint them

Bet they insisted on the TV being turned over to Babestation at half time so they could have a quick tommy tank.

Its not easy taking u12s to a night game. Especially on a Friday after a week of school.

    True.

The problem isn’t with the people who find themselves in that position, the problem is with people who know full well that the ST they buy cheap is rarely, if ever, going to be used even on a Saturday.

Because, of course, the massive gaseous army are far to gulable and stupid to suspect a few of his CV entries might be missing ? or is it the club that are the thick pricks?

It’s because the club themselves know just how mentally fragile their own fans are. They know that JM spent several years at City but if they don’t say it out loud then ‘it never happened’.

We thought getting Jack Hunt to delete City pictures on Instagram was a joke. In reality it was so Gasheads wouldn’t shit their pants in rage every time he touched the ball. 🤣

God help him if they ever find out that he didn’t actually delete them.

Saw someone said that but would make no sense at all with only 2800 anyway , I think if people are buying should take at face value that there is only 475 left

575 left according to the site.

I agree it sounds strange but I thought it was to avoid the club having to pay for all those tickets if they go unsold.

I don’t know? Either way I still think 1500 sold so far is pretty decent.

Maybe yeah. It is on their Forest thread but seems a slightly confusing/confused post.

They’re definitely referring to Forest when they say “plucky away side” and the City ground when they say “crumbling old ground” especially on a thread about Forest.

Its the sort of thing we say about the Gas when they draw away in the cup to someone like Barnet

    Wow

If any other club bar the Gas were doing £10 tickets and quid a kid

Posters on here would be up in arms slagging off our club and the Lansdowns for not doing the same

The gas give us more than enough to rip the sh#t out of them A bit harsh doing them for this

If you read Bazooka Joes post again he’s joking that the club are selling actual children for £1 and an adult for £10. 👍
