Not seen any scores but I'm assuming QPR won, because we were assured last night that they were definitely going to?

Which would’ve been a fair assumption based on recent form. Keeping an eye on their in game stats on Bet365 you’d be forgiven for thinking Plymouth were playing Man City if it wasn’t for the scorline.

Either way they’re doing really well with their new manager which makes our draw there look a decent result. Hope I’m wrong but my gut feeling is that they’ll be above us by New Year’s Day which is bizarre considering how far behind us they were a few weeks ago.

Not sure how this one slipped through the net…

After their much-lauded Pirates Pot venture failed to attract enough entrants to generate an actual winner, the recipient of the second-highest prize (an impressive £50) in the first draw turned out to be one of their star defenders.

That’s one way to save on the wage bill…

It’s like when Dougal ‘won’ the rigged charity raffle on Father Ted 🤣

I bet he didn’t claim it straight away because he was holding the ticket upside down as well.

    ”Number ELLEEVVEN” 🤣

Anyway, that’s his wages paid for the week.

  3. It’s that time of the season when they crash out of the Football League Trophy again. The fact they did so against Crawley reserves makes it even funnier.🤣

They must hold some record for number of seasons competing in the competition without ever actually winning it? Proper tinpot.

Whilst today wasn’t a great result some of the stuff I’ve seen online and at the Gate thrown at the manager is incredibly clueless.

Manning is very clearly playing a new style of play to Pearson which we have seen since he’s been in charge. We may not be as direct but we look a lot better on the ball and in the Boro game and first halves of Southampton and today we look very threatening going forward. We now need to improve on second halves and putting away more chances.

I was always behind Pearson, but for the people who want Manning out now. Why doesn’t he deserve more of a chance than Pearson did in his opening few games?

I feel for Manning, this whole situation isn’t his fault. Ridiculous talk from the top about a squad capable of top 6 used as a stick to beat Pearson with hasn’t done him any favours.

I really hope Liam does well because we’ll all be happy but if he doesn’t then I think you’ll find most of the anger is really directed towards the Lansdowns and Tinnion. They created this, the pressure is on them.

  5. Looking at the table this time last season the bottom 3 certainly had far more points. West Brom, Wigan and Huddersfield had all accumulated more points than QPR have this season.

Last Boxing Day we were only 2 points above the drop zone with 27 points.

Saying that QPR were 7th and Reading were midtable. As we showed ourselves in Jan/Feb it takes a few good results to turn your season around and pull you away from the relegation zone so none of the teams are out of it yet. Likewise a bad run and you’re back in the shit.

Martin refusing Mangan’s hand when he was subbed as well? Interesting.

Marquis arguing with fan at ft. All getting a bit toxic now and only the owners to blame with their non replacement strategy

All is not well at Pillar Park.

“Seven Zero Four Eight Gasheads thank you” 🤣

Haha thank you for **** all!

that’s why your owners don’t want to pay for a new ground.

Sell out everywhere they go mind !!. They took about 3k up there last year as they hadn't been there for years, funny how the novelty wears off. What game is their cup final this season? Probably already had it at Reading.

    Strange that isn’t it?

Of course last year they thoroughly refuted the accusation that they only took 3k because it was a big, ex Prem ground they hadn’t visited for 20 years. Instead they tried to bore anyone who would listen that this was just the norm for them. 🤣

Where was that 3k this year?

They were bragging about selling out Reading as if it’s a major achievement 🤣

Apros of nothing, this gives me opportunity to give my favourite ever pop fact.

Brian Harvey, erstwhile chavtastic lead singer of east 17, once ran over himself. Mr Harvey had, as opposed to taking too many drugs - he definitely hadn’t been taking too many drugs - had eaten three jacket potatoes for lunch. This was too many by far, so as he drove off he opened his door and leant over to vomit. While doing so, he disengaged the handbrake, causing the car to roll forward and run him over.

And that’s still less comical than at least three things the gas do on a weekly basis.

When you think about it, running yourself over whilst leaning out of your own car vomiting is a bit like getting relegated from the football league, at home, by a team wearing your own shit kit.

What's hilarious is the fact they are literally ecstatic about it

They’re just trying to put a brave face on the fact that they’ve lost yet another potential new stadium after giving it the big un. It’s what they do.

    Unlucky da shit 🤣

    Cretins.

What was up with the wires at the back of this picture? Looks like something you'd find in a Favela.

I was going to ask the same question.

Should be some trainers with the laces tied together dangling from them.

Its hard to believe that picture is actually taken at a genuine Football League ground. Absolute state of it, no wonder they’re so in awe of the monstrosity thats now replacing the tents.

Yep. It's why there isn't a permanent post up on this forum, listing all the wanky things Swindon and Cardiff have done.

Cardiff or Swindon wouldn’t give us enough ammo to have a thread about them. Cardiff beat us on a semi regular basis and have been more successful than us and Swindon’s finances can only get so many laughs.

Compare that with those dumb bastards in Horfield who have a habit of shooting themselves in both feet with an Elephant gun on a weekly basis. As I’ve said before, it’s not our fault their club is such a joke.

If anyone ever feels depressed about our status as one of the biggest underachievers in British football, console yourself that we also have the funniest and most ridiculous ‘rivals’ in the game to keep us laughing. Every cloud….

The Rovers’ average attendances are boosted by the away support from some of the bigger teams in the league.

The same can be said for us in all fairness but even with the large followings we’ve had at AG this season it still leaves us with 19/20k City fans in attendance on average.

Remarkable support when you consider we’ve never achieved anything and spend most of our time mid-table or below. Our away average will be over 2k after the Southampton game.

Rovers have no excuses for not selling out all available home tickets for every game at the Mem.
