That is getting dangerously close to an argument for the politics section,

A little bit like the Portsmouth away thread where I and a few other were defending the rights of workers.

Several people whinged about it, comments removed and posters told to keep it on topic….then the thread promptly dropped to page 8 because despite the complaints from people calling the conversation “boring” nobody else had anything to say about the actual topic ?

TBF they mostly do nowadays - it all goes back to him making up that story about City fans beating up a disabled person and the club doing nothing about it. Even the dribblers thought that was out of order and have called him out on it ever since.

    Well…let’s be accurate here mate

One or two were sceptical at the time about the story but the vast majority of them were only too eager to believe him without question despite how ridiculous the claims were. In the years since a few more have reluctantly had to admit that he was clearly spouting bullshit but only a small number actually call him out on this.

    From Heartofgas on their forum who won't hear a word against the club (apparently the process for their new temporary stand is a successful) :laughcont:;

"We don't know 2 of the 3 we f'd up.

On JCH we don't know the reason why it went wrong. It may have been nothing to do with us.

On the stand, how have we f'd up? Would it have been better the board planned to do this next summer? Yes, it hasn't been smooth sailing but the approach the board has taken means the stand will be built as quickly as it possibly could have been. In my book that is a success and I like that approach.

Why do some supporters always seem to jump on the most negative take on every situation and indulge in a rovers flagellation."

Dumb bastards, imagine the uproar if the Clarke Harris situation or Planning balls up had happened at City.

Got the shambles of a club they deserve.

Is it possible that we could get rid of it?

I never know whether someone is actually grateful or just being sarcastic.

Probably the latter with my posts tbf.

Could we not have a 'facepalm' emoji instead? That is sadly lacking

I think the ‘thanks’ emoji is one of the least sarcastic emojis, up there with the Robin (don’t know what it means tbh?).

    That ******* ‘hmm’ emoji tho….

That was it. If I remember correctly we weren’t playing that particularly well either!

We were all over them mate. Port Vale were woeful.

Most of the play in that 1st half was down at our end (East End). 2nd half was more even but the damage had been done by then.

  6. Obviously the goal against the Gas felt better from a fans perspective but the goal against Tamworth is one of my favourite goals ever, I could watch it over and over again.

As depressing as that first season back in L1 was, he was great to watch. He seemed to score all our goals before Christmas with Baldock scoring more after Christmas.

The night game v Port Vale sticks in my memory. We won 5-0 I think and JET scored a free kick at EastEnd, I just remember the keeper looking helpless on the deck when it went in.

    He was some player!

He did, 4-0 up at half time and that free kick was not long before the break. Mickey Adams was getting some grief and I think he may have actually been “sacked in the morning”. Martin Patterson played a blinder.

  7. Haven’t got a problem with it, very popular look in Europe and other clubs fans in the UK wear similar. The ‘Ultra’ look is becoming more of a thing in this country these days and in fairness Section 82 have been using elements of this culture for a long time and I think they do a great job.

Speaking of which, what was their "crowd" on Saturday, they're obviously too embarrassed to post it on the BBC

Peterborough Utds last 2 home league fixtures have had crowds of 11,700 and 9100.

Rovers crowd on Saturday was 7600

Yeah well done Gas, that really shows how massive you are compared to Posh doesn’t it? ?‍♂️?

Wasn't that the game that their fans were singing & celebrating about getting their new stadium.?

10 years ago today you say..?!

“We’ve got our staydiyum we’ve got our staydiyum” ?

After the game they were practically claiming a victory because they only lost 2-1 ignoring the fact that we were dross at the time ourselves.

”see yew nex year SHITHEADS” they proudly posted on Facebook….
    How did that go d1ckheads?

But that’s why things like this keep happening to them. Unless you start fronting up to your failings, learn from them and try to improve you’ll keep going around in circles.

Not all, but too many gas heads think their club is perfect (swallowing all the tripe they are fed) and that things like this happen because everyone is out to get them.

You’re spot on. They should be furious with the club for continuing to make them a laughing stock, not just to us but other clubs in the area and their division.

Its like some weird cult where anyone who dares to say “this isn’t good enough” is told to go to trashton.

They’ve got the Circus they deserve.

  11. What absolutely amazes me is that there are still Gasheads who refuse to believe it could the fault of anyone to do with the club. ?

    Agents

    EFL Conspiracy

‘Shitheads’ high up in the club

    McAnthony

    ’Big’ JCB

I mean FFS, have they been living in a cave for the last 10 years?
Rovers are exactly known for being professional are they? ?

**** up followed by **** up followed by **** up.

    The gift.

Because they clearly have a man a the EFL they know who was able to confirm that....

If they're going to make stuff up, at least make it believable.

Presumably they asked the ‘shithead mole’ high up within their club to fax everything off and he deliberately waited until 4 seconds after the cut off to do it.

    Bastard!!
