  1. Personally I had got used to, and enjoyed reading, the mountain of shit they would get on Social Media from fans of every club they encountered.

It was hilarious to see them furiously defending their bonehead manager after every ridiculous outburst, slagging off opponents, slagging off his players, the pitch, the ref, the ballboy.

    The gift.

Honestly shit as **** morning, followed by getting my Greggs lunch, too packed to get a bloody sausage roll, Tesco same thing, went to get monies out for my Christmas do, I forgot to take the monies out the machine when withdrawing and some crackhead ran off with it! They say bad things happen in 3 right, so now the good

went to Sainsbury’s got an egg sandwich, eat it Bartons been sacked and now I’m about to have my yearly review at work, gone from the worst mood to the best!!!

Hate to bring you back down to Earth but what if they employ a manager who isn’t a complete bell end and actually knows what he’s doing?

Watch the ***** come out say we wanted him gone. He was vile, a shame on our club.

Rovers fans sucked it all up when that *** was there. Adored him.

    Absolutely guaranteed.

Deep down most will be devastated that ‘daddy’ has gone but they’ll start pretending they never really liked him.

    Bunch of worms.

I always suspected the nest egg was intended for Nigel's successor. This makes me suspect even more.

    Of course it is.

Then we’ll persevere far longer than we should with whatever supposedly ‘exciting’ young manager from Partick Thistle or Bangor City the Lansdowns decide to bring in. Do nothing, mid table Championship (if we’re lucky), spunking millions up the wall for a few years before we need to seriously tighten the purse strings again to keep our heads above FFP water.

“Give us your money and shut the **** up!”….That’s the way we do it.

I see the greatest, loyalest and truest supporters in the world haven’t sold out for Burton Albion away on Saturday yet. What’s the allocation for Burton? 1,200 or so ffs? They’re obviously all locked out already.

    Can’t help themselves can they..

This is the club that took 400 to Plymouth in the League.

Not sure how you could get confused. It doesn.t look anything like Springfield Park.

    I completely agree.

But it looks very much like the Mem now!!

haha, you know what…looking at that picture of Springfield Park you can see the similarity of that ground 25 years ago and the Mem in 2023.

I don't think city and rovers were in the same league in the 98/99 season... but looks a lot like wigan.

Correct, we were in the Championship (or whatever it was called back then).

    Incorrect.

Wigans little stand was much older looking.

In fairness it’s a bizarre post in the first place because neither us or the Gas have played this club (if it is who I think it is) in the League ever….Rovers have probably got the closest given their stint in the ‘5th division’.

What chance of them receiving a warm welcome at Ashton Gate, football allégeances aside.

I have no idea about the relationship between Her Game Too and Bristol Rovers but we are already involved with them and have 2 ambassadors (I believe). It’s football-wide organisation, not just confined to the Gas.

Oh he makes me want to vomit (although I was constantly refreshing his Twitter for JCH news on transfer deadline day 🥴) So grateful for James Piercy for us.

Him posting to reassure Gasheads that the account saying the deal was off was fake…before having to confirm himself 10 mins later that the deal was in fact off, is still one of the most ‘Rovers’ things I’ve ever seen.

    Hilarious 🤣

Only one person called this out on their forum and apparently isn’t a gas head as is always negative. Forget about the rest of the stuff, I’d be embarrassed for this tweet alone. They don’t care 😂. Strange folk.

    Pretty standard from them 🤣

Can you imagine the uproar from City fans if Nigel was making a complete pr1ck of himself on Social Media and embarrassing our club into the bargain?

Now imagine the uproar if he kept on doing it…..plus made our fans sign up to a subscription service to get exclusive news about OUR club?

They really are spineless from the Boardroom to the fanbase.

No doubt, some sad Fewer will cite all those cars parked behind that goal as concrete evidence of 20,000 of their Hillbillies locked outside.

Plymouth do have a great away support, however I think if we were not in the Championship for 13 years we would be taking bumper crowds everywhere too.

True but Plymouth have taken large followings away for years no matter what division they’re in.

Further to the other replies, due to financial problems, Rovers sold the ground in 1940 to the greyhound company for £12k which was well below the market valuation of the land. The Rovers board member who masterminded this was also on the board of the greyhound company! The site was enormous with a large car park at either end of the ground. Just right for a modern stadium. Later in the 40s the board tried to get Harry Dolman interested in joining them. All went well until he told them that not owning their own ground was a bad idea. The response was basically “with ideas like that you’d be better off at Ashton Gate”. The rest is history.

Yes, being backward and thick is not a new thing for the blue few, they’ve been like it for decades.

An absolute shambles of a club. 🤣

  14. Given that Rovers utter incompetence has almost certainly cost Peterborough hundreds of thousands of £s in a transfer fee I’d be absolutely fuming if I was McAnthony.

Personally I would insist that a fit JCH starts every game in an attempt to at least get goals out of him until January and hopefully drum up Interest from proper football clubs who don’t **** up everything they touch. Leaving him out for this one would make POSH look incredibly weak.
